Unethical… the way they treat their apprentices. Taking gobs of money, making their lives miserable, then saying… tough shit… go to small claims court. Shame on you for crushing the spirit of an artist. I hope KARMA is a bitch.

I don’t even know where to begin with the nightmare that is my tattoo from there. I guess I should start from the beginning — When my girlfriend and I arrived, we were greeted by who I believe is the owner? He was super nice, and friendly. We aren’t from Eau Claire, and the owner (?) sat and talked to us for awhile about our trip, tattoos, etc. He was great, made us laugh, just was fun to talk to.
The much older man that was drawing up our tattoo (my gf & I both got the same thing,) was extremely rude. He came over at one point to show us what he came up with, and how it was going to be twice as long in size as we wanted it to be but said we could have the line stacked (which we were okay with). We then realized he added things into the tattoo that we specifically asked him not to and reminded him of this, he responded with huffing & puffing. He ended up fixing it how we wanted anyways.
Finally when we were ready to sit down and get started, another guy w/​red hair (who was sitting at the station on the right of the shop) said he would do my girlfriend’s tattoo so we could get them at the same time. I sat down with the older man and he prepped my arm… NOW THIS, is the kicker… I have another tattoo on my right forearm and when I got it done, the guy used a little arm rest/​table to sit my arm on… THIS GUY HELD MY ARM THE ENTIRE TIME IN HIS HAND WHILE HE DID MY TATTOO. As soon as he finished I looked at it and was so disappointed. It was crooked, the letters weren’t spaced far enough apart. It looked terrible. My girlfriend’s tattoo on the other hand looks amazing! I wish I could remember then name of the guy who did her’s.
It’s been about a week, and my tattoo looks absolutely terrible, the letters/​numbers are already running together, it’s almost gray looking in color (mind you he SAID he was doing it in black,) the punctuation marks just look like blobs! IT IS AWFUL. And, it is not because of the quality of care I have been giving since I got it. I always take great care of my tattoos and haven’t had any issues with my others whatsoever. I seriously regret getting this tattoo and am really upset by this because we got these tattoos to symbolize how much we LOVED Eau Claire and our time spent there and now I have this hideous mess on my arm to remind me of our trip.
I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you’ll be dealing with the owner of the shop or the guy who’s station is on the right side of the shop!!! I literally just made an appointment with a tattoo artist back home where I’m from to take a look at the monstrosity on my arm & see if he can cover it up OR by some small miracle make it look better once it’s healed.

Jeffrey Knecht did the best tattoo ever. Very clean and friendly. I live 5 hours away was worth the drive. It’s not like I can erase it if I don’t like it.

Mike Roth did my chest piece and it is PERFECT! I will never go anywhere else again for another tattoo! From the minute you walk in the door you are treated like their #1 customer. All the guys are super friendly and accommodating.
