I would never call to correct a issue or even a question– go directly to Vineyard Propane. Get a locked in yearly rate and do automatic payment with the propane company responsible for checking the level.(If they have not been in a while at least check to be safe). The lady’s at the desk are always helpful and answer all of my questions. I’m going to start by telling you to keep all papers from them. I had a new service started and there were two tanks on the property. One not being used and really old– I asked them to remove the tank. A week later was charged to for the fill on the tank at full price and not the locked in rate. I went and chatted to the ladies– which were helpful– and the tank was removed. Not sure if my credit for the removed tank is towards the right account. But we will find out. I hate to only give 3 starts that is only because of the women at the counter. If it was not for them I would of given 1 star.

Excellent response time when we believed our tank was empty. Truck here within hour. Courteous driver reported tank was ½ full. I learned where to read gauge– about time. Problem was pilot on water heater was out. Driver was kind enough to relight pilot for us!

After being a customer of this company for two decades, they required a credit check when I asked to open a gas and oil account for another house. They told me to just send in one application, which I did, and then they failed to open an oil account with the result that the second home had no oil deliveries until the tank ran dry! This company has poor customer service and is dangerously incompetent. It was the subject of a scathing editorial back in 2007:
