As another review stated… This is a hidden gem off River Road. Only $ 12 for a detailed wash and vacuum. The men there work hard to satisfy the customer. Long line and yes a long wait but well worth it. Go when you have time to sit in your car and wait… But you’ll be happy with the end product!

Ive been to this car wash once, they have hand car wash. I liked everything about this place, my only complaint was that to get into this place actually was very uncomfortable. I was there on Saturday, and i spend half of my morning washing my car. This was Saturday and bunch of people decided to wash their cars at the same time with me.

Was a long wait but worth it. They put a lot of effort in cleaning up the car.

Came here once after getting a haircut in Edgewater. Got the job done and not a bad price either. Make sure you have cash on you though or else they charge extra.

AVOID THIS PLACE… but feel free to roll the dice if you think my experience is an exception.
I can’t even make this up if i tried. We drive in with a brand new mercedes GLC with no plates and the new car tags, less than a month old. As they dry the car, we watch as the guy pulls up the back wiper not from the arm but from the rubber wiper. This snaps the wiper off. As they fumble to put it back, and the supervisor goes to check it out, we watch them not able to fix it and try to subtly place the rubber wiper back as if nothing happened.
The two metal rods, that they didn’t notice, are left on the ground. I walk out from the observation area and address the issue. The supervisor pretends like he doesn’t know how the metal rods are on the ground. Then he tries to fix it and can’t. He then implies that it was already broken. And, that they clean thousands of cars with no issues – i doubt it.
Of course! The conspiracy is i brought in a brand new car with a broken rear windshield wiper so that i can blame it on these guys.
Suffice to say, the back wiper cost more than the car wash. And, an extra headache.
What bothers me the most isn’t that they broke it, it is the fact that 1) they didn’t apologize, 2) they tried to cover it up, and 3) they try to deflect and blame us. I am more than happy to pay a few dollars more for anything, for a quality product or service and folks who stand behind it. Does our society not have honesty, integrity, and morals anymore?
Lastly, they did a pretty good job but not great…1) didn’t vacuum well enough, 2) didn’t dry the exterior fully, and 3) they overuse their dirty towels so it leaves residue.
Going back to the leonia car wash since the owner is always present and responsible.

As I roll in I totally took the wrong entrance and went up the hill that’s meant for the car exiting the place after their wash. The sign wasn’t super clear but make sure you pull ahead to where a small sign says «entrance» with no hill. The min package is $ 12 but no one asked me what package I wanted so I was waiting patiently to what the bill would be but someone asked toward the end lol. The $ 12 included detailed exterior by hand wash interior vacuuming and window cleaning. They paid extra attention to everything. They even take my mats out to clean and opened my trunk. I thought it’s a lovely service and would go back to them all the time now! Make sure you carry cash or else they charge you a little tax for credit cards.

Came here because it was highly recommended and all the positive reviews. I brought my car to hand car wash because machine washes do not remove dead bugs from my windshield or hood. However many of the big bug marks remained on my car after the wash. Other cleaning was satisfactory, I guess I’m disappointed since the wash did not accomplish the main purpose of the wash

Really good job! Impressed with how efficient and effective they all worked. I don’t have a luxury vehicle and they spent just as much time and attention. It was my first time here. I can totally see it getting busy. Glad I went at 8am!

Great car wash, dedicated and courteous staff, everything by hand and they really make sure the job is done and done well. The wait can get excessive, about 15 min per car, but it really takes time to pay that much attention to each car… there is no shortcut. Very happy with them and will come back.

for $ 12, you get the hand wash/​full service: exterior, glass, dashboard, and vacuum. add five bucks for SUVs.
they take their time and do it right. THE best car wash in the area. and i have tried them all.
just remember, since they take their time and do it right, that it takes about 20 min per car.

The owner was so nice and was helpful with the issue on my car from parking outside where painting was taking place. He offered advice on what to do. And the cleaning was really good. I will advice you to go when is not busy but the job is worth the wait. I will only go there from now on.

I decided to check this place out after all the positive reviews I read about. I’m going to agree that this place really knows what they are doing. The staff really takes the time to clean the car inside and out and makes sure it looks flawless when you leave. Very friendly individuals and easy to deal with. The only downside part is you have to wait awhile since the washes take some time because they really focus on every car being cleaned properly. Keep up the good work!

I am stupid. Why haven’t I ever been here before? I have been going down the street for my car washes and increasingly becoming annoyed at having to tell them to do inside windows and seeing dust/​dirt on the dash. I decided to try A-​1 out after a friend recommended to me and man, I am so glad I did.
I came the first time on one of the first sunny days in March and waited in line but left due to a prior appointment. No wonder. These guys take their time on your car. This is a good thing and well worth the wait. Everything is hand wash … no automation here … literally a huge garage space and hoses. I keep a pretty clean car and even I could tell how well the dash and inside surfaces were cleaned. Vacuuming job was good and so were the inside windows (my dog likes to do nose art).
The best part … the price! Car wash is only $ 12 but on Ladies’ Day (every Wednesday), they take $ 3 off. You can also have tire cleaning and spray wax for an additional cost. My only word of advice is to tip generously … these guys work hard.

So after I took my other half’s car to Englewood Carwash (see review), I took mine to A-​1.
The Good: Fast! Hand wash!!! Cheaper than expected! I think family owned which is my favorite (supporting small businesses of America!). Even cleaned my dash board which was dirty from window tinting.
The bad: Didn’t really ask me which package I wanted. Just asked if I want my tires shine. I said ok, sure. Who cares, it’s only 15 bux and my car looks great

Great job. 4 or 5 guys working together. 15 minutes in and out. They did everything from hand-​washing inside and outside, trunk, vacuuming carpets and seats, and tire polish. They were awesome! Keep it up. Thanks!

Wow! I have not know about this place until my friend told me. I love my BMW to be taken care off and this place delivered. Air drying and microfiber towels only… I thought I was dreaming because that’s the only way I wash my own car. Will only come here from now on
The other car wash down street is not good… I live next to it.

Hidden gem in the true meaning of the word.
This place was a little difficult to find but I’m glad I found it. My GPS took me on river road instead of old river road and I almost gave up looking although I’m familiar with the area. Anyway, I don’t know how to start describing my experience (after I found it), because it exceeded all expectations. These guys don’t just handwash your car, they massage it, they give it a spa, I’m sure my car felt the love :). I wish I could give them 6 stars. Their attention to details, the team coordination, the neatness… it’s unbelievable. A MUST TRY.

This is the best hand car wash in the Area! They pour their hearts into every wash. I usually get the spray wax on top of wash.
