Great food but, not open for delivery on a Friday night?

Do not waste your money! Food was overpriced and flavorless. The Pad Thai was bland and the crab fried rice was fishy tasting. Definitely way better Thai restaurants out there!

Fresh, Clean, Bright. The space is really bright and clean and sunny and nicely decorated in an understated way. Really a great place for lunch since they have a great lunch menu with 10 $ lunch plates. We had the Red Curry which was rich and fragrant and tasty with a big scoop of rice. The Thai Stir Fried Vegetables were in a light tasty sauce with a large portion of fresh crunchy vegetables. Also comes with a big scoop of rice. We had the Thai Ice Coffee which was really nice and a bit on the sweeter side. Nice service and the BiteSquad people were in and out constantly with orders. And that was at 1pm. They must do a huge BiteSquad business. Got to go back and try some of the appetizers.

We had the fresh spring rolls, red curry, pad see kew, and basil stir fry. They were all delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes.

The food is great! We started with an appetizer of calamari, which came with a unique honey type sauce, but it totally worked and was well prepared. For my entrée I had the drunken noodles, which were perfectly done and delicious and my friend had the Panang curry, which was absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend this. Our other friend got the green curry, which I would say was the weak link of the dishes. It wasn’t bad, but compared to the other food, it was a disappointment. I look forward to coming back to try more menu items!

The crab fried rice is TODIEFOR! I also ordered the shrimp wrapped in egg roll wrapper appetizer and it was tasty as well. The plum sauce that comes with it is bomb. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu.

Ordered Pad c eaw. It came with wide rice noodles. I like it better than Pad Thai. Also Lemongrass chicken soup(I think it’s Tom Kha, but they didn’t call it that) perfectly done. They were not busy when I was there on Monday. I ate a lot of Thai food in California and when I moved to Minnesota, I’m so disappointed with this«non Authentic Thai restaurant» trying to be so fancy. There’s a Thai place 2 blocks away from where I live and I rather drive to Coconut Thai. So what if it’s spicy. Is it supposed to be? and you can tell them to make it not spicy I do that everywhere I go when I order for my family. This is very close to what I had in Thai town, LA. Well done.

Ordered for the first time through Bite Squad and we were very happy with our meals. It took a little time to get to us but had ordered far enough ahead that it wasn’t a problem. The vegetables in both of our dishes were perfectly cooked, the spice level was great. We ordered a «2» and a «3». The«3» definitely had some heat. Shrimp was yummy and chicken was good. The fried spring roll was one of the best I have ever had! We are looking forward to eating onsite next time. Highly recommend.

Good food. Decent service. My wife had pineapple fried rice. It looked gorgeous. It was served in a ½ a pineapple and had amazing looking ingredients. The only issue though is it tasted plain. It tasted like they didn’t check and salt/season before it left the kitchen. I had Tom Kha. It was hot, flavorful and well made. The chicken in it looked plain and boring but was just the opposite. I would definitely recommend the dish. My only minor complaint is the serving size was on the smaller end of the spectrum. I am probably a poor judge of that since I used to get the exact same soup at Phuket in Richfield which had huge portions.

Had lunch there today. I was so delighted by how good it was. It was fresh, flavorful and beautifully prepared. What a great addition to Edina. Could be my new go to Thai restaurant. Definitely get the pad Thai and the red curry. Can’t wait to go for dinner and try a whole new selection of dishes.

The special of the day was one of the best Thai soups I have ever had and I use to live in the Bay Area so I know my soup places. Boat Noodle Soup with pork, pork meatball, and fried pork rinds added chilies and man it was good! Coming back to try more or get delivery.

We loved it! All of us said, «I can’t believe I ate the whole thing!» We wish they served alcohol, but the service was good and the food was excellent.

Ordered pad Thai carry out tonight. They asked me how spicy I wanted the dish, I said medium and the dish was too spicy, I had to throw it out!

This place is new so I’m going to assume that they don’t have their staffing and service model quite figured out yet. It took a LONG time after being seated, and our appetizer only came after we asked about it – after our entrees had arrived! That said, the Curry Puffs appetizer was absolutely delicious with the relish(a bit lacking on its own). I had the Pad Thai, which is good but needed more spice; next time I’ll ask for it to be hotter. My dinner partner had the Squash Curry and loved it. Overall, the menu isn’t as innovative as its predecessor(Rice Paper). Still, I’ll probably be back again with the hope that they’ve worked out some of the kinks.

Food I give 4 stars. Went for a late lunch and my friend and I shared two of the red curry dishes. I can’t recall the exact names but one had squash and the other had a peanut base with spinach and bean sprouts. Both had the perfect amount of heat. Delish flavors. I’d be hard pressed not to just order these dishes again. The bad? We walked in to the after lunch crowd and almost every table had dirty un-bussed dishes. Throughout most of our lunch the dishes continued to sit, to the point of being distracting. Obviously they were short staffed, but many times the staff they had could have just taken a handful back to the kitchen. I got the feeling the servers didn’t think it was their«job». The server did explain they didn’t have a bus-boy on that day and it was busy. Not really a valid excuse in my book. Enough venting. Based on the tasty food alone, I will be back. Guessing they are still working out the kinks. Only been open a month.

Fantastic new local thai place. Have eaten there twice and food is great. I was disappointed to see a 1 star review based solely on the fact that they didn’t answer the phone. My suggestion would be to actually eat at a restaurant before you post a review.

We will definitely order takeout from here again. We didn’t have any issues with the speed or service, but it was also a Sunday night. The curry puffs were great and my husband enjoyed his vegetable stir fry. The green curry is really good but a little lacking in variety for vegetables included; it was almost all bamboo shoots and green peppers. Overall, a solid place for takeout.

Food is great but the service was painful. They are clearly understaffed and had a hard time handling their customers It appeared there were only 4 employees and most of the time they were in the kitchen making the food. However, the food is great. It is nice to have a good Thai restaurant in town. Once they get the service down(hire more people) the place will be fantastic.

My husband and I tried calling to place an order for pickup tonight. We started calling at 6:15 and the phone rang and rang and rang without an answer or a voicemail message to suggest that we were calling the right number. Tried back and 6:30…same thing. Another time ten minutes after that… still no answer. We don’t have time to eat out tonight, so we had to bail on this plan and order from Naviyas in Linden Hills, which I am happy to report answers the phone promptly during business hours. It appears that Coconut Thai just opened about 3 months ago, and this isn’t a great way to attract new customers.

First time here. Nice to have a tummy go-to Thai place that is close to home. We had fresh spring rolls. They were served with a fabulous plum sauce. For dinner, we had pad SE yew and red curry with shrimp! Both delicious. We’ll be back and next time will try something a bit more exotic!
