I think they should have more options for their cinema suites other than that the food is ok but the staff is always very nice and friendly

I love reclining couches and big screens as much as the next gal but the concept of adding food and drinks to the mix was a big draw. Unfortunately the food is just terrible at this place. Dessert isn’t so bad and who doesn’t like having a few alcoholic beverages served to them while they watch a newly released movie? Cool concept but the menu has to be completely changed and replaced with better meals with better quality ingredients. I don’t think anyone has crazy expectations for a full 5 course meal but at least make what you have on the menu edible.

The use to be very good, but not any more.
The food it’s was very bad, the service so slow, I don’t think I never gonna come back again.

Ask me to name the world’s great food service experiences and I’d say the Savoy Hotel in London, No 9 Park in Boston, and now the Menlo Park Fork and Screen. The staff here are cheerful, discreet, and quick, in the most demanding of dinner environments.
The main dining cinema has reservable, reclining, seats, and each seat has its own always-​on soft light by it. The lights are low and don’t distract from the movie.
Menlo Park’s only downside is the food. With the service being so good, this really feels like a missed opportunity. Adding a bowl of strawberries to the menu would offer a tasty, silent snack. Juicing limes takes time and it spoils quickly, but it would make for great daiquiris and margaritas, PG-​rated limeade, perhaps even an X-​rated daiquiri with dark rum and brown sugar.

I was wary when they turned the regular movie theater to a dine-​in, but it was actually pretty great. The cinema suites have fully reclining comfy seats and a full bar.
The food used to be pretty great and they had a large selection. Recently however, they shortened their menu and now there are less options.
My other main concern is eating in the dark. You don’t really have an accurate sense of how the food looks and how «clean» things are when it’s all dark in there.

I rarely go to the movies but when I do, I want to be as comfortable as I would be watching at home. This is my go to theater and I only do dine-​in. I can recline my comfortable chair, sip on a beer and watch a great movie all at the same time.

These type of theaters are my fav! I love being able to reserve my seat ahead of time esp with blockbuster movies. The food is also very good. My family loves the fish and chips along with the crispy shrimp. They recently changed their menu so they no longer have the white chocolate popcorn or the chicken pastas. As with any theater, there will be youngin’s who could use some more training but for the most part they are prompt and try not to disrupt the movie. There are special theaters for the 21+ crowd and a bar section while we wait for the movie.

My favorite theater on this coast! The service is great, the seats are comfy, you can reserve your seat ahead of time… The only downside I can think of is that they make you wait really last minute to enter into the theater. At least you already have a seat! Food is decent, popcorn is giant and comes with a side of that unhealthy, unknown ingredients movie theater butter. Yummmm!!!

Safe to say the best move going experience in the Central Jersey area.
The seats are comfortable, with a button to recline back if you want, and there’s room for you to eat as well. The menu has great food options, ranging from appetizers to delectable desserts, and they do not skimp on them either! I find the food here rather good and the servers are very friendly and do a great job to make it a fun time at the movies.
The atmosphere of this is very similar to what you would expect at the Alamo Drafthouse (a very similar concept to this). A beer, a good film (hopefully), and a wonderful seating experience. I do recommend sitting a bit further back so you don’t get nauseous, because if you sit too close, you’ll wind up sitting under the screen, so you want to at least relax yourself by sitting further back so you can enjoy the show more without getting dizzy or at the very minimum getting a stiff neck.
I recommend coming here and enjoying a night here. It’s very much worth your price of admission.

The food was disgusting! Cold, dry and old. Do not order any food! You will be extremely disappointed.

I’ve been to this theater a few times and twice during my most recent visit back to NJ. I used to come here even before it was a dine-​in theater and boy has it changed. The theater is definitely much cleaner than it was and the dine-​in aspect is great. I haven’t tried much of their food but the drinks are tasty. I had the citrus berry smash cocktail and I really enjoyed the bourbon muddled with berries. The service inside the theaters is pretty fast and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to enjoy some food and drinks during a movie.

I have been here before. The food was decent. Its pricey in a way but it makes up with the good customer service.
The seats werent that comfortable. They were hard plastic and it felt like small stool seats, except it was leather. Not coming back here because they were uncomfortable, although the service was decent.

although this place can be a tad hard to find, I had such a wonderful experience at this theatre. The chairs are comfortable and the food was pretty good. I would definitely go back again!

SO, they recently updated their menu, and I’m thrilled. I love the Mediterranean Mac so much. I love getting served while I eat, and the staff here (unlike the West Orange location) is super friendly.
The drinks and food are semi-​pricey… BUT worth it.
I just love this place. It’s a cute date spot, honestly. I ONLY do the Cinema Suites, though. The Fork and Screen are just whack.
I’ll definitely be back!

I went here on a date recently to see the visit and I have to say it is a beautiful theatre.
The waiting service was terrible though and they didn’t have their stuff together at all. At the end of the movie we had received someone else’s bill. The boneless chicken wings were also chicken tenders that were super dry.
I would only recommend the burgers or the chicken sandwich on the menu.

Ha! Giving this place 5 stars for many reasons
Good:
— Let’s start with the seats first. Really nice and wide with a sliding tray table. The seats are all in two’s so this is perfect for a movie date ;) You get to select seats when purchasing the tickets which is an awesome feature. I know I am amazed at all this because this was my first time at a dine-​in theatre: D
— the theatre didn’t have as many seats which gave it a really nice cozy comfy feel which I liked a lot!
— staff super courteous and helpful. They came and checked if everything was ok and explained how the food ordering system worked. Just press the button next to your seats and someone will come right over and get your orders. The food and drinks menu is pretty extensive and catered by Apple Bees
— the whole theatre was super clean and it was hard for me to believe how well the screens and the whole place was maintained, compared to the other AMC theaters I have been to. Now I know what I have missed all this while. Sigh!
Not so Good:
— lets get back to the seats shall we. The seats were nice and wide, but wished they reclined a bit.
— there are small lamps (sort of like night lamps) next to the seats and they cannot be switched off during the movie. Would be now it there was a way to dim them or turn them off while the movie is being screened
Ugly: nothing really except for the distance from Jersey City :\ it’s somewhat of a schlep but don’t mind coming here
Verdict: I will be back :)

Absolutely my fav AMC around!
The space is open and accommodating, on entry there’s a bar/​lounge area if you’re waiting for a movie, I usually grab drinks and a snack while waiting. This AMC is also attached to Menlo Park Mall which is convenient with parking and shopping.
The theaters itself are clean, great sound and great picture. I’ve never seen a dot on the screen in all the films I’ve watched here.
The staff is punctual and well knowledgable of the menu, they try to not get in the way of the movie which helps.
They go have two types of seating, cinema suites and fork and screen. Cinema suites are the full reclining seats so be careful when you select a movie.

First time dining in at a movie theater and me and hubby had a good experience. This theater is located inside a huge mall and we had some difficulty finding it. After 5 minutes of staring at the mall directory and asking a security guard we finally located the theater.
We were smarter this time around an ordered our tickets online (tickets were sold out when we went to Essex Green 9). $ 43 for Ant Man in 3d, expensive! We got to the theater, scanned the paid Barcode and were on our way to Auditorium 9. Once there, we were greeted and taken to our seats. The large red seats reminded me of the ones at AMC Fresh Meadows (hint hint bring one of these things to NY) they had accompanying little swing tables used as a tabletop for your meal.
We took at look at the menu and I was surprised it was so extensive. The plan was to eat before we came here (which we did) and just order drinks. Well that didn’t work accordingly bc me and hubby stuffed our fat faces. Chicken quesadilla and Thai shrimp tacos with two long island beach teas (all the liquors just with cranberry juice instead of coke) and two signature martinis. It was a bit difficult trying whisper our orders to the waiter while the movie was going on; we had to keep repeating ourselves.
Service was extremely fast and the food and drinks were OK, no complaints. We wouldn’t come all the time as it is a bit pricey but we will return.

By far the best movie theater in the Middlesex area. I wish all movie theaters had the comfort and atmosphere that this AMC has.
I love the fact that it’s reserved seating– you choose and you’ll know exactly where you’ll be sitting at the moment you purchase the tickets. The seats are so incredibly comfortable, you’ll feel like you’re watching a movie at your own house. Their customer service is friendly and fast, they’re there to attend to the customer at the push of a button, literally.
Their menu offers nothing gourmet, but it’s pretty fancy dining for a movie theater. From sandwiches to salads to tasty desserts, there’s always something for every mood. Their cocktails are pretty strong and tasty. Whoever came up with the idea of combining dining and movies is a genius. Hopefully we’ll see more of these theaters around, they really are great.

I came here today for the first time. It’s located inside a mall which can be a little tricky to find. There was plenty of parking and although the ticket prices can run you a few dollars more, it’s totally worth it.
The chairs are huge and extremely comfortable. The food was excellent and our waiter, Kenny was very nice and attentive. I definitely recommend giving the whole «dine in» experience a shot.
