In terms of décor of the restaurant, it’s not the «nicest» restaurant out there. The tables and chairs are meant for you to only eat your meal and don’t add any nice ambiance to the place. The building itself is a bit shabby looking and the parking lot is lopsided. However, Baguette Delite is proud of their good food and they should be!
he phở always is very yummy and always has fresh ingredients! It always comes out nice and hot and fills any soup craving. The Banh Mi sandwiches are very delicious and you get so much for the price you pay.
It’s a very traditional Vietnamese restaurant and I recommend anyone that wants to give a try to authentic foods!

Food was decent. Wouldve given it 3 stars but service was terrible.
Had a sandwich and the beef noodle soup with watermelon bubble tea. None of it was anywhere near impressive like the Unilocal avrg rating suggested. The place was dirty and looked like it was falling apart. The asian gentleman did not speak much english and was manning the register. Which makes no sense. He was clearly confused with most of what i wanted to order. It also looked like he sent the english speaking register guy to do a delivery… Will not go back. Current Unilocal rating does not reflect current quality of this place at all.
Indochine is new brunswick is much better.

I am detracting a star because their banh mi is just not that great. However, this is probably still the best place to get phở around here!

Food here was quite good — the sandwiches were all very tasty– we ordered one of everything and shared. We saw some very intriguing and delicious looking dishes come out to other tables that has us wanting to return.
I’d rate higher if the place was a bit cleaner and well kept. I get that sometimes there is a culture difference in this area of expectations. However, you’re here now… Grab a sponge and a broom a little more often!

I have tried so many Phở places around Freehold, Princeton, New Brunswick, and Edison and this was one of my favorites.
This service was great the food was well made, tasty, served quickly, there was a generous amount of everything in my bowl, and the prices were great!
I also ordered the spring rolls but they weren’t good.
They used iceberg lettuce, the shrimp was small and not tasty, there was mint and cilantro, but over all I’ve had much better spring rolls than that and wouldn’t order it again.
I would definitely recommend this place, can’t wait to go back and try a Bahn Mi!

Wow, I’ve been coming here since… Forever! In terms of phở in NJ, this is one of the better places.
This is definitely not your traditional restaurant– it’s kind of ‘dirty’, the tables are half garden tables and half actual tables, and the bathroom is through the kitchen. If you’re looking for a more ‘posh’ experience, you won’t be finding it here.
However, their phở is pretty good and the hefty portion of noodles and meat will leave you beyond satisfied. They make sure to give you a lot of vegetables as well. My favorite combo is the phở tai nam with a bbq pork banh mi w/​egg. (The egg is a $ 1 more but makes it even better.)
Although it’s not the best viet place, it’s definitely one of the better ones in the area! I would recommend this place if you’re around.

My favorite Banh Mi place in the area. Service is always quick and staff has always been polite. The pricing is also insanely good. $ 4-​$ 5 for a sandwich that really fills you up. (The crunch on that baguette is unbeatable.)
My only complaint is that both the restaurant and the parking lot are really small, but I usually get my food to-​go so that’s really not much of an issue.

I went with a group of friends and when we pulled up, we really weren’t sure if we had gone to the right place. It was at night and there were very little lights. The parking lot was pitch black and was a little hard to find the place.
We had a group of 10 obnoxiously loud college students who had just finished taking an exam and we ordered a combination of phở and banh mi. Everything looked delicious and came out really quickly. I personally got the brisket phở and IT WAS SO GOOD.
Flavorful, large, a nice serving of meat in there, steaming hot.
It wasn’t that expensive either for what you got. Definitely would recommend checking this place out. It’s a small place that looks a little run down, but don’t let the appearance fool you. The food is good. Definitely going back to try the banh mi. My friends who got it said that it was very very good!

The one and only Banh Mi serving restaurant that I know of near me. Came here several times already and am a big fan of the sandwiches.
The venue is small and parking is a tad difficult as there aren’t that many parking spots.
The staff is nice and they never messed up any of my orders.
This time I ordered the Lemongrass Beef Sandwich, for the first time, to go. Sandwich was overall delicious and well made, although the beef was a bit dry and could use more seasoning though. Its a pretty nice and ‘light’ sandwich.
Can’t wait to try out the other sandwiches that I haven’t tried out yet!

This place is such a spectacular hole in the wall place. Great portions, best egg rolls (very meaty), delicious banh mi sandwiches (my favorite is the bbq pork), flavorful phở, and they even sell spicy nem chua (fermented pork) which I can’t find anywhere else in jersey. Authentic and delicious.
I prefer this place over any other Vietnamese spots.

3 years ago I would have given this 5 stars.
I moved away and recently was in the area and able to grab two bbq pork bahn mi to go — and it really was not the same as I remembered it, sadly.
I guess I never noticed, but they pre cook their meats, and then reheat it in a microwave when they get an order. (huge country crock margarine containers, I’m not sure they are rated for safe microwaving?) While in theory I understand this practice, the meat became very dry and lost its bbq flavor goodness as when microwaving the juices run out and essentially steam the meat and the bbq seared taste away.
The summer rolls tasted off. While super big (2 to an order) with tasty dipping sauce — I think the shrimp were not that fresh, lending to the off flavor.
The biggest miss for me, was the bread. Sadly the bread was too soft, think of when you put a crusty bread in a plastic bag, it gets soft. I long for crispy baguette and this wasn’t as crisp as I remember, even after getting it for take away.
I don’t think I’ll be making any special trips back — now that I live much closer to Philly — and there are TONS of great bahn mi spots — sadly… this will probably be my last trip to baguette delite.

Excellent banh mi sandwiches for $ 4 and $ 5 and excellent phở for $ 7.50 and very good spring rolls at dinner – if I lived closer this would be a very frequent stop.
Very small, simple place – warning: the sign was not lit the night we went. Order at the counter and be ready to ask questions as many items are not described in English.

Had to check out this place after reading all of the reviews on Unilocal.From the outside it isn’t much, and had I not been paying attention I could have easily driven past it. Small inside with a few tables and a counter by the window for seating.
I ordered Banh Mi Dac Biet (Special $ 5), Bun cha with lemongrass beef ($ 7) and an avocado milkshake to go. Delicious! I should have stayed to eat the banh mi, but instead ate half of it on the car ride home because I couldn’t wait. Delicious, and great balance of flavors! I was a little hesitant with the avocado milkshake, but happy that I ordered it. My dad and I split the bun cha, which was excellent! Incredibly fresh ingredients, and the lemongrass beef was perfect. He liked it so much that he went the next day!
Also, extra star for their customer service. The guy behind the counter was very friendly, and even offered to help carry bags out to another customer’s car. Excellent food, great prices and friendly/​helpful staff. 5+ stars to this deliteful find!

I have been coming here for along time and This place is small hole in the wall place right by Edison high school don’t be discouraged by the outside or even the inside the food is super yummy and you can always order out. They have some of the best Phở and bahn mi sandwiches in the area. My favorite is the Bbq pork with extra cilantro along with the pickles veggies.

Ahhh Baguette Delite… it’s kinda the Vietnamese version of your favorite neighborhood deli. You can’t expect it to be upscale and a trendy joint but it’s a hole-​in-​the-​wall where you can get stellar Vietnamese foods ranging from phở to banh mi sandwiches to vermicelli! I came here once with my parents to get some phở and they weren’t terribly impressed but I returned recently to get BBQ pork vermicelli since one of my friends suggested that I try it out. Gosh this is probably one of the best vermicelli bowls that I’ve ever had. Great pork, wonderful and fresh ingredients, and at a price you can’t beat! ($ 7.25 a huge bowl that I couldn’t finish!)
No, it’s not the fanciest establishment. But man do they know their Vietnamese food. It’s great if you’re in the mood for great food that’s wallet friendly :]

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I absolutely couldn’t wait to go there. The outside looked so seedy, it’s gotta be awesome on the inside. Well, this hole in the wall was interesting. I don’t know if the guys who work there just had an off day or what but imho, the food was … Well lets dissect the entrees.
Pork chop over rice — the pork chop was over cooked and bone dry. Other than that, it did indeed have good flavoring. You definitely couldn’t cut it with your utensils. Finally out of frustration, you pick it up and start gnawing at it. While its again flavorful, it resembled char shu (Chinese roast pork). It was tough to chew though. After a while, my jaw hurt and I gave up.
My husband had #5 banhmi bo Nuong Xa. It’s grilled marinated beef on a very good quality baguette. The veggies were fresh but the meat and my pork chop was not. They pre grilled the meats ahead of time so that when its ordered, they grilled it again to warm it up. That’s why it’s over done.
I also ordered the original bubble tea. We were already served our entrees and mid way through eating, I realized we still had no beverages. I had to go up to the counter to remind him. I could tell he completely forgot but it was busy so he made it after I reminded him. Secondly, after I received it, I had to remind him I ordered water too. Turns out bottled water is in the back and you can help yourself. Btw, they use half-​n-​half instead of condensed milk for their bubble tea.
Place is a bit disorganized. You order in the front and pay there. Then there’s another guy who comes out from the kitchen yelling out what dish he has in his hand. A couple times people said they ordered the dish first yet the other guy received it. If you’re not careful, someone else can get your food and they came after you do speak up. They tend to forget to give you your drinks. Again, don’t be shy and sweetly speak up.
Overall, we’ve been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and will say this place has the best beef banhmi. Their pork chop was a miss. Because they have a lot of desserts with bananas that’s wrapped up in banana leaves with sticky rice, there’s fruit flies. That bugs me.
Will I go back? I’ll give it one more chance. I’ll stick to the sandwiches and bubble teas though. I’m hoping the second time will be better.

This place is an unassuming establishment but they dole out some awesome food. This is my kind of place, good food with great value!
When you walk in its like it resembles a café. You order at the counter and don’t pay till you’re done.
The phở here is pretty good! My favorite is the brisket. The soup is clear and noodle is how it should be — light in flavor and nice smooth texture when slurping it up. The flavors of the meat, soup, noodles, cilatro garnish blend well together. If you need spice and more flavor you can add the hoisin sauce or Sriracha that’s provided.
They also have good Bahn Mi, vermicelli dishes, as well as a couple of rice dishes. The food runs from $ 5.50 for bahn mi to $ 7 for the phở. Can’t t beat that! There is a good amount of food. Try any dish with lemongrass beef. The bubble tea here is also decent. You definitely get the bang for the buck here.

$ 5 for a infant sized BBQ tofu + mixed veggies Banh Mi — packed with shredded fried tofu, ear wood mushrooms, cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, slices of jalapeño — it was a ginomous sandwich! I thought about saving half for another meal, but after one bite, who was I kidding? I demolished the entire sandwich in 5 minutes! And yet I wasn’t even hungry to begin with…
A true hidden gem! Definitely worth checking out for an affordable, yummy, quick meal/​snack!

It’s pretty inconvenient that this place is closed Mondays, but the sandwiches here are AMAZING! I picked up the Baguette Delite Special on a motorcycle trip and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. And I didn’t even eat it until a few hours later!
Not even sure what meat was in the sandwich exactly, maybe ham, bologna, pork and tofu? The thinly sliced carrots, raddish, cucumbers, jalapenos, and cilantro kept the sandwich light and refreshing.
The bread really made the sandwich. Bahn mi is a product of French colonialism in Vietnam, so it’s basically a Vietnamese sub served on a single serving baguette. The baguettes that should be used for bahn mi are made with some rice flour, which gives the bread a lighter crumb and a thinner, crisper crust.
At a place called Baguette Delite, it’s no surprise that their baguettes were perfect. Even after a few hours in my saddlebags, the insides remained airy and and the crust crispy. A little hoisin tied everything together very nicely. Meaty, salty, sweet, spicy, and fresh are all words I could use to describe this sandwich. The price point at $ 5.00 a sandwich was absolutely beautiful.
I am definitely going to come back here.
I didn’t try the phở, but why wouldn’t you get a baguette at a place called Baguette Delite?
