With over 10 years of retail and service industry experience, we have wanted to bring a nice casual dining restaurant and bar to the Edison neighborhood. A place where you can bring the family, come out for ladies night, and also have a place to come and watch sports! The philosophy is to come in fill your stomach with great food in a great atmosphere without hurting your wallet!

Ok, I so don’t want to jinx this by posting after only two visits, but so far I’m impressed.
South Edison appears to have something new to be proud of. Not only a great bar, but with GREAT food and very reasonable prices.
First, start every meal with the Elixir Sampler (taquitos, pork bites, chips a guac. awesome.).
I’ve had the Steak Ranchero and just regular Cheese Burger and both were outstanding.
I know this might sound like an «inside» review, but I have no connections to the joint. Just a local fatty that appreciates good food.
Hoping it has staying power as it adds a lot to the Southside.

Had a really great first time experience at this place and will be sure to return! Food was hot and delicious. Drinks were good and unique. Manny is a really great guy. He even brought us out samples of their house tequila specially blended for Elixir. It was so good I bought a bottle from them. :) This place was definitely worth my time and I will be returning for their happy hour and special events.

What can I possibly say about elixir that will do it justice? The atmosphere is welcoming and lively, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. I recommend the guacamole and chips as an appetizer because the chips are made fresh in house and the guac is amazing with all the right flavors. Their burgers and sandwiches are great as well. If you’re still feeling hungry after dinner, try the fried ice-​cream. You won’t regret it.

I got the chicken avacado panini. We also got the sampler for the starter. Both were great!
I asked for the elixirita but not too sweet. It came tasting like straight liquor but they fixed it
Also got mojito. It was great as well.
Be prepared to smell like the place once you leave! Ugh! I had to take another shower and wash my clothes lol
I’d come back again… before a shower though lol

Just had a burger for dinner. Was excellently cooked medium. The meat was tasty and so was the roll. Shoestring style fries great too. Can’t wait to go back and try other meals!

Came here on a cold January Tuesday. The food n drinks definitely warmed us up quickly. Classy spot with fantastic ambiance. Tuesday is Karoake night! Service was on point. Manny the Owner came and greeted us-​extremely hospitable. I got the veggie soft tacos (picture posted), excellent flavors. Overall, an awesome establishment, contrary to the norm with a modern vibe. 5 stars, keep up the good work!

Been here a few times and it has been wonderful! Yes, they just opened but first impressions are everything. Nothing I have ordered seemed to disappoint. Tex Mex Nachos are deelish and the chicken is on point! Go for a football game where they have specials or just go to eat some good grub! Yummmm you won’t regret it!

First time going here the bartenders were very nice and attentive. The appetizer sampler was amazing. And so was the chocolate cake.
An awkward situation broke out where two customers were arguing over the football game and some racial comments were made. It escalated quickly and only one party was asked to leave. I wasn’t feeling that at all. At the time they had no security so anything could have gone down.
Went back a second time and service was still great. There was security at the door which made me felt more at ease.
If you’re looking for a local spot to grab some drinks low key this is the place.

Nice atmosphere. Food was very good. I tried the steak tacos and the chicken avocado panini. The steak tacos were well seasoned. Each one had a lime slice on them. The chicken avocado panini was as expected. Great staff that want to take care of customers. Only complaint I had was the «Elixirita» which was too sweet and tasted like sour mix. Definitely would come back here for food and a beer.

First impression walking in was great. Multicolored LED lighting and plenty of tvs. I had the steak tacos and chicken avocado panini. Both were very good. As drinks we ordered the «Elixirita» which although it came in a beaker style glass, it was not good. Tasted like straight sour mix. The staff was very friendly and checked in frequently with us. I’ll defiantly go again, but next time just beer for me.

I hosted a private event here and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had working with a local restaurant. The owner Manny went above and beyond to accommodate us and it was such a pleasure working with their staff. They really took care of our guests and made us feel like valued customers. The food was also really good! Theyre private room is so fantastic and comfortable fit our party of 40 and the servers were so attentive. Overall would love to have our big events here all the time.

Well first off, this place gets 5 stars for customer service. We came at 11pm which is when their kitchen closes and the owner insisted on us getting food even though the kitchen was closed. That right there was awesome sauce. Because I worked at a bar before. I hated people who come last minute. Even though we didn’t know they close early. We got nachos and chicken tenders. Oh ma gah. Best salsa sauce ever. THe bartender mentioned how everything was made fresh. I mean obvi that’s the #1 reason we stayed. I got a Mai tai drink. Tasted watered down but deff not liquored down cuz I felt the buzz mid drink. So I guess it was just the juice he put it. But I liked it. Over all this place looks pretty cool. Coming back to see how it is during the day and to try out the food. Give this place a try. This guy that owns it looks like he worked hard to make it how it is. Also the music was good. Mixture of things. Not just one set of genre. That’s always a plus.

Have been here a couple of times, and we’ll keep going back. Went for lunch with the kids and we’re happy with the food and the service. Kids loved the Mac and cheese! Went back in the evening one night with friends, and it was a great atmosphere to hang out, have a drink and play DJ on the jukebox. Excellent local bar with more of a lounge feel. And owner, Manny, is very friendly and understands good service. Looking forward to spending more time at Elixir!

Went with my parents at the recommendation of their cardiologist. He must have known the menu contained healthy, yet delicious Tex-​mex selections. We ordered the guacamole appetizer which was freshly made and ripe with seasonings. They supplemented with an extra bowl of chips to match the massive portion! I ordered the chicken tacos which were flavorful paired with cilantro rice and black beans. Mom and dad both ordered fajitas which they enjoyed with plenty left over. Our only regret was no room left to enjoy the tempting churros! 5 stars to this spot which will surely be a favorite among the locals!

Went here with my boyfriend to watch a game. Good prices– it’s a nice place to get a casual drink with an atmosphere that is a step up from a corner bar. For nights where I don’t feel like battling for a parking spot in New Brunswick, this is a great alternative.

Had a chance to try out the new Elixir restaurant. Tex-​mex food that is actually pretty good especially with all the Mexican restaurants in the area as well as the big chains.
I had the lunch special drunken milanesa for 7.00 bucks and surprisingly it was a regular sized portion and it tasted really good. My wife had the fajitas salad which was good but I felt that it was a bit too salty. But it was also a good sized portion.
The décor is a huge change from the old bar that it was. Now I went during their soft opening. We’ll see how it holds up after the grand opening.
