We have ordered Hyderabad Chicken Dhum Biryani, Nala Bheema Spl Boneless Chicken Fry Biryani and Curry Leaves Chicken Fry through . We have ordered at 7pm and it was delivered at 8:30pm. The much hyped Curry Leaves Chicken Fry is the screwed up version of otherwise known Chicken 65 with big pieces with lot of color and burnt out side and uncooked inside. Their house special Nala Bheema Spl Boneless Chicken Fry Biryani is also burnt but the rice was good though. The Hyderabad Chicken Dhum Biryani is with lot of Keira Water smell not spicy at all. Of course any of the food items are not spicy. I would not recommend this place to any one. I wish I could give 0 stars. We always pickup at Paradise Biryani Pointe, and Nala Bheema is no where compared to them. Paradise is leading Biryani place in Edison/Woodbridge area.

Zero stars. Of a number of instances I feel 2 are more than good to justify my rating. 1) We ordered a take out of Veg. Biryani — At the table at home the Biryani is found totally uncooked, no vegetables other than 2 big pieces of potatoes and other main ingredient spicies totally missing. 2) This time we dined in — half way during taking order server stops us because he needs to check items being ordered are available, comes back and says sorry none ordered were available. So we ordered that was available. One of them Aaloo tiki chaat. When the order comes by, we tried very hard to find Aaloo tiki in the chaat with no success. When we inquired server answers I get only what is given to me from the kitchen. He goes back and after awhile comes back with a proper chaat. Phew thought nothing could go wrong any more. But we were wrong. Ordered Gaarlic Naan and get wheat butter roti. We said now that’s about it… WEARENEVERGOINGBACK.

It is pretty good, considering the low standard of most Oaktree restaurants. I tried their Chicken Chettinad and Biryani and found them both good. We tried something else which was below par. Service is above average.

I really enjoyed their chicken curry leaves fry app. It’s probably large enough to be a meal of its own if your in the mood for fried chicken with Indian flavors. We also ordered the panner tikka masala and the garlic naan which was also tastey. Seems like they have a lunch buffet on Saturdays but we wanted to order from the menu. Service is definitely friendly but it can be slow since it only seems like there was one server when we went. The food also tends to take some time to come out so don’t come here if you’re starving or else you might get cranky(unless your there for the buffet).

Have visited here multiple times and found that there is no consistency in the quality of food. Had one of the best biryanis and also had the worst which makes it unconvincing to be a repeat visitor. The worst we had a half prepared chicken biryani after having a good one few weeks back. Same is the issue with veg entrees. Not sure if something has changed that is dragging down the taste and quality. Would give the rating only for the ambience and the décor. Very sad to see this happen. Would not visit again.

Weekend lunch buffet($ 12.99) is not nearly as good as a la carte. Standard northern chicken dishes instead of more interesting southern dishes and not great examples of them. 3 stars at best vs. 4 stars a la carte.

I came here for the 5pm-7pm «happy hour» and thought it was okay. Pros: –Pretty yummy food(I had dosa and uttapam). Aloo tikki chaat is good but spicy. –Cheap happy hour prices: $ 2.99 for veg items and they all come in good regular-sized portions! –Inside is clean. Cons: –Service is not good at all. There is only 1 waiter(and probably only 1 cook I’m guessing), so it is slow and everything comes out at different times(my brother finished eating his plate before my mom even got hers). –Asked for chai and were told«no no not possible.» What kind of Indian restaurant doesn’t have chai? –At least 2 or 3 of the advertised happy hour items were«not available.» Overall: I’d come back since it’s cheap and close to my house, but meh. They should invest in at least 1 more server for a more pleasant dining experience.

It is the worst restaurent in edison. No service at all food is not at all good and fresh. Their biryani was smelling i dont know how camo emoloyes there cant smell. In the buffet no curry is hot. Not even single curry is nice, every curry is horrible and finally the sweet was dirty enough. No staff will give you response. If u go to restaurent no one will even care about you.

Very good tasty and authentic food. We had country chk and crabs which were made to taste. The décor is ok but keeping the décor in mind its little expensive. But keeping taste in mind then the food is awesome and well priced Cannot wait to go back No idea why Unilocal hides my reviews. Unilocal seems to be censoring good real reviews.

This is a great place for a quiet dinner. On a Saturday night, it was quite empty but the food was great. The service is slow but very friendly. We had egg biryani, harabhara kabab, dosa and uttapam. Except the utthapam, everything was great. Highly recommend.

Chicken fry biryani was excellent — this is not one of those places that tone down the spice level. The dish was complex, had multiple layers of flavor and had enough spice to make you feel it. I did take-out, but the restaurant was completely empty at noon on a workday and the place felt a bit too dark for my comfort.

The food here is delicious. So far we have had the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and kadai paneer, no complaints from me. The prices are also very reasonable. Not sure about the service because I have ordered takeout every time. I would recommend this place to others

I ordered the biryani and it was very flavorful. My father tried some and he enjoyed it as well. the service was so much friendlier than your average indian restaurant on oak tree. They also have a large assortment of indian foods(northern and southern Indian). Location is great, in the inman grove mall. Ambiance is not over the top ornate, but comfortable and inviting. Good place for a quick business lunch, family dinner, or to satisfy a biryani /dosa /northern indian craving !

Very Bad Service… We had to wait for 10 mins to get menus on the table… Menu has over a 100 items which is commendable… If only half of them were available… We had to change our order three items to finally get it right. Half way through this review, the food arrived and added two stars to my review… It was tasty to the point of over powering taste of pepper… Nonetheless the edibleness of the food and our hunger complimented well and we had a good time. If you are around you can check this place out… Hopefully they will have more items available… But definitely not worth a drive from New Brunswick !!

Relatively recently opened, so took a chance even though not much reviewed, and has an unusual name. Ordered mix non veg tandoori platter and a chicken coriander curry. Tandoori platter showed that this is not the typical Indian restaurant in Edison neighborhood serving red colored tandoori chicken. Everything was nicely marinated and rightly spiced, melt in the mouth tandoored. Everything else was pretty good to. Menu is pretty diverse, so I am looking forward to trying out other things in future. I hope that they do well, as the location is a little off the popular Oak Tree Road. Certainly worth the detour.

Food really sucks… and they made me collect my home delivery order. Chicken xacuti is vomit worthy… biryani is just about okay. still not worth the money. –5 stars.
