I had an amazing experience here in purchasing my wedding reception Lengha and it was all because of one of the sales associates, Rekha. I didn’t have the opportunity to shop in India and had gone to countless other shops in the NY/NJ which were all lacking in in selection and in customer service. I was able to order the most beautiful Payal Singhal piece through Rekha. From start to finish Rekha was amazing– always available, polite, and professional. In fact I was devastated when I found out 2 weeks before my wedding that the lengha was slightly to long and had to be shortened. But Rekha took care of everything and so quickly, Even with all the heavy embroidery they were able to make it the perfect length! And they did not even charge me for the alterations which must have been complicated! I got so many compliments on my outfit at my wedding. It was truly special. If you are looking for beautiful designer pieces you must go here and you Must ask for Rekha she is the best!

Only store in Edison that carries original designer items. I found my reception lehenga here after searching everywhere. If your budget is tight, they also have«designer-inspired» pieces that aren’t as expensive. Great shopping experience, wonderful staff, will definitely visit again.

My friend and her daughter came to NJ for bridal shopping. They went around 3 other shops and finally last Saturday went to the mall at Oak tree. Boy were they happy. They bought all the bridal and bride’s mom shopping at this one store. The key was Rekha. She spent almost 5 hours — very polite, very knowledgeable and more importantly very patient. She clearly understood the bride’s taste and her needs, color options and pulled out one winner after another. They were willing to do the alterations and provided reasonable discounts. Even provided a matching underskirt for a saree. After having visited three other shops the previous day where don’t touch this, you can’t try this on; this outfit has already been bought(beats the heck out of me as to why they display it and outrageous prices) were common occurrences, the mall at oak tree had really tasteful designer pieces. It also helped they had a beautiful Ritu Kumar piece on 50% off. With Rekha’s service, the bride and the mom ditched their idea of buying a piece from another shop. The other Indian shops should take a lesson from this wonderful lady. I would highly recommend THEMALLATOAKTREE.

I got my wedding langha at the Mall at Oak Tree. When we first pulled into the lot, it looked like the building was under construction and we almost didn’t go in, but luckily we ventured inside and once in, the selection of outfits was phenomenal. We found my wedding langha, and all the sarees for the bridesmaids. The service was great, the Mall made the blouses as well and they fit to a T. Excellent selection and service. Highly recommended.

I had a very bad experience with purchasing my dress here. They referred me to a horrendous tailor they are affiliated with who quite frankly handled my dress very poorly in a basement shop that did not feel very legitimate and was a drive away. He was also exceptionally rude. I had to come back three times in one day because he was making quick and careless alterations of my dress until finally my fiancé and I took the dress back into Manhattan and I brought it to a very good tailor I know in NoHo who showed me that they had in fact one brought up one shoulder of the dress so that it pulled and looked ridiculous and had not even touched the other shoulder. He also said they should not have let me buy a dress that was so large and clearly would need a lot of altering with much room for error since the design was so involved with drapping tulle tyle belt and beading etc. This took about three weeks of my time in dress shopping for an Indian reception dress and I was now three weeks away from my wedding. I ended up being saved by Payal Singhal’s showroom and alterations from Sew Elegantly, but without immediate advice from friends and dropping quick cash, my wedding day could’ve been severely hurt by the carelessness of these parties. They did let me exchange my dress but only for a partial refund and I was forced to buy jewelry there and I’m not sure that it was the best deal.

High quality, fashion forward, elegant merchandise… AND exceptional customer service! Let me explaineI bought my Sangeet outfit at The Mall on Oaktree Road and several hours later after the shops had closed realized that my wallet was missing. Paniced, I took a chance and called the store after hours hoping that someone would still be there and check and see if my wallet — containing Credit Cards, Checkbook, Cash, ID — etc was still there since it was the last place I had charged anything. And guess what? Someone picked up the phone and said that they would check with the owner who I had met earlier that day. Not only did she call me but she also got up in the middle of her dinner to drive to her store to check if the wallet was there. And it WAS there — crisis averted. My point: several store owners would have made you wait until the morning to do anything on your behalf, particularly after they had already made a sale with you. This store owner didn’t wait. Apart from that — a couple of other things — merchandise is several notches above anything else you can find in Edison. They have all sorts of designers such as Satya Paul, Tarun, etc. housed under one location. My Sangeet outfit was my favorite outfit of the 10 or so equally fancy ones that I wore at my wedding. Seriously, go there!

My husband and I travel all the way from Seattle, Washington to buy our Indian formal wear from The Mall at Oak Tree. The clothes are simply phenomenal – gorgeous colors and fabrics, all the latest styles and designers. Ritu(one of the owners) and her staff are incredibly helpful and customize everything to your needs. They can even help you change the colors and design. The Mall at Oak Tree outfitted my husband and I for our Mehndi and wedding, and we felt absolutely incredible in the gorgeous garments!

After seeing almost all the stores in the area I was about to give up and plan a trip to India. But I was very fortunate to have found«the mall» just then. I had something in mind for my wedding day and Ritu Aunty made my wishes come true. Very well priced, the outfit was designed per my wishes and custom made from India. Ritu Aunty also designed my stunning reception outfit. This place is by far the best in the US. Great customer service, very affordable and great flexibility to suit your taste. I will HIGHLY recommend all brides and more to shop at THEMALL.

I just left The Mall at oak tree and had such a great experience. I usually don’t write reviews, but I had to comment on the excellent service and variety of Indian dresses. If you are looking for a quality experience ask for Rupal, she is honest and knows her fashion. I cannot wait to wear my new suit and jewelry set! I couldn’t have found the perfect outfit without her!

I have been shopping here for couple of years now and I haven’t found the need to shop elsewhere on Oak Tree. This place is a one-stop shopping mall. You can get your ENTIRE outfit from clothes to jewelry to shoes to shawls to accessories here. They have a fantastic line of designers clothes but if your budget doesn’t fit the bill then they have their own brand of designers clothes at very reasonable and affordable pricing. Their stock is one of a kind and they have personal shoppers available to help you put together your outfit. They will even custom design an outfit for you. You MUST check this place out if you’re looking for truly something hatke/one of a kind.

I had a great experience at The Mall when I went shopping last weekend. I had to buy an outfit for a friend’s wedding and the staff was with me the entire time helping me pick the outfit, matching jewelry, shoes and a bag! I needed some alterations for the blouse and the skirt and the staff took my measurements and said it would be ready on time. I picked up my blouse and skirt yesterday and the fitting was great. I would recommend The Mall to my friends and family.

This place by far has to has to have the most expensive Indian clothing stores in Edison, NJ. It was the only place that didn’t have more than 10 cars outside of it on a busy Saturday afternoon(which should have told us something.) I can’t list off the name of the stores, but if you’re looking for expensive, brand-name Indian clothes, then this place is the place for you. Otherwise, stick to the other stores on Oak Tree Road.
