Awesome local independent bookstore! They have a wide selection of new and used books, unique cards and maps, as well as a wonderful kid’s section. The owner, Karen, and her staff are particularly knowledgeable and well read. Lori and Dixie are very sweet and helpful. The cat in resident, Emily Grace is a true delight. Stop by and browse, pet the cat, and talk books for hours. They also have tasteful gifts, cookbooks and FREE wifi! Don’t miss it.

I went here to dig through the hidden jewels that hide in the nooks of this little bookstore. Yes! A Tom Wolfe book I always wanted to read. Yes! A whole section of nerdy sci-fi stuff… yes…yes…yes…a bunch of stuff you won’t find at your Barnes and Nobles or Borders type stores. This was kind of like a yard sale for book nerds. I ended up leaving with a newer book anyhow. I would highly recommend visiting the Edisto Bookstore regardless of whether you brought a book to the beach or not. Try: A Malcolm Gladwell book… you’ll enjoy it Avoid: Reading the book Edisto while visiting Edisto… really lady… it’s like wearing the t-shirt to the concert

…Typically, you go on vacation with a book and loads of magazines that you haven’t caught up to. But for that some-odd-reason when you get sick of the sand, the heat, or even if you just wanna get away from your close ones, this book store is a good way to spend some time. I found the«used» section to be actually the treasure of goods.
