Epic fail! This had to be the worst cupcake I have ever attempted to eat! The cupcake was thick and dry; I couldn’t finish it! It literally tasted like it was over a week old! I honestly do not know how this place stays in business!

The shop is very cute and clean, and they had about a dozen cupcakes to choose from. We got 6 to go for $ 16, which seemed a little pricey to me, but I’m no cupcake expert. We all took a bit out of each one and decided that the cake part of the cupcake was good, but the frosting was not. The cupcakes with cream cheese frosting was either very strong or you could barely taste it. The chocolate frosting was good, but had a thick feel. We all loved the cookies and crème one, great frosting and great cake. I wouldn’t recommend the Red Velvet because both the cake and frosting weren’t great. It’s a great place if you order the right cupcakes.

I love supporting local business and I do drop in occasionally to buy a cupcake or two, but it’s not my favorite cupcake stop. The service has not been great. The cashiers I’ve interacted with the last two years do not smile, rarely make eye contact, and are not particularly attentive. I think if just this one thing improved, I would buy from here more often. Some of the cupcakes are The Best Ever and some of them are just meh, and some are dry and not good. Since they have so many flavors that rotate so often, I could not even keep up with which flavor tastes good or remember which one to avoid. I just feel a little sad giving only three lonely stars to a cute cupcake shop. I will continue to try it now and then to see if things continue to improve. It is certainly better than last year. I can tell they have pride of ownership and put a lot of thought into their ingredients and flavor creation. PS This is the same place that makes those cookies for new moms called«More Milk Cookies» or something like that. They make great baby shower presents. They are also just plain delicious cookies, even if you aren’t a new mama.

Cupcakes(3 stars) are decent but nothing extraordinary. The frosting is a little over the top and seems to be compensating for the cake which has been dry on a couple occasions when I’ve purchased late in the day. I will give them credit for having a punch card for a freebie offer. Customer service(1.5 stars) The few times I have been in the shop, I’ve felt more like an inconvenience than a valued customer. The clerk did not smile and was not interested in answering questions I had about flavors and ingredients. If it were just one time, I would be willing to attribute it as a bad day. But, I’ve not felt appreciated for my business on any visit. Maybe if I were buying in bulk, the service would be better. Overall I’d say pricing and quality is on par with the competition, but with limited weekend hours(closed on Sunday) and the staff friendliness or lack there of will take my business elsewhere.

I bought 2 lemon, 2 raspberries, 2 vanilla bean… Again for the 3 time I’m disappointed… Every time I go there it’s a low selection and even lower flavor… I mean come on I buy lemon cause I wanna taste lemon… BARELYANYLEMON, I want lemon custard inside and lemon bursting from frosting… I cut a small chunk and gave to my son who hates lemon anything, he ate it then asked for more… Same thing for raspberry, it was chocolate cake(nothing special) and then a very small raspberry frosting on top. Vanilla bean was same just like from box. So I gave 2 stars cause yes they were VARY moist but lacking any flavor. I will drive from North Edmond to Okc to get my cupcakes from GiGis… They never disappoint! They make cupcakes full of flavors and nice selection!!!

Pretty decent cup cakes and decent prices. I’ve been here maybe three times? Each time I enjoyed my cupcakes and my family did as well. The cup cakes are kind of small but they are a decent size for the price. The ones I get are always delicious. I wouldn’t drive 20 minutes or more to get them but the 5 min drive from my house makes them well worth it.

***Review update: ADDING A STAR *** I should have tried the other cupcakes in my assortment before posting my review. Tried the pumpkin spice cupcake… it lasted a whole 20 seconds. I could have eaten about 12 more of those. The cake was a nice spice cake, and very moist, and the cream cheese was a good, classic, cream cheese frosting. Not too sweet. This may be a seasonal item, but try it now if you are visiting. Very good. I also tried the marked«employee favorite», red velvet cake. I’m not a red velvet fan, really. I mean, come on, it’s just chocolate that is red. But this was really good. Not the same cream cheese frosting as was on the pumpkin, which I would have preferred, but very good. Cake was moist and yummy. Nutella cupcake: pass. Took another bite to make sure, and it is still less than mediocre. ************************************************************************************************************ I really wish the cupcakes were better. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is simple and nice. My kido loves looking at all the cupcakes on display and picking out exactly which one she wants(«no no no, the one with mostly BLUE sprinkles»). If only the dang cupcakes were better, this place would be awesome! Now, the kids don’t seem to mind the overly sweet frosting and dry dry cake. So, if you are getting cupcakes for kids who really just want to down a pound of sugar, well, winner — winner chicken dinner. However, if that is the case, the prices aren’t low for a cupcake shop. So, grab a box mix and a tub of frosting and call it a day. Anyhow, I tried the Nutella cupcake. There was a hint of Nutella in the frosting. To be honest, I wish they would have just smeared a spoonful of Nutella on the cake and nixed the powdered sugar addition. Don’t mess with Nutella! The cake was a yellow cake, and incredibly dry. These aren’t over sized cupcakes, and after a couple small bites I just couldn’t take any more of the flavor/texture combo. Harsh words, and I hate writing them, but it has to be said. On a more positive note, my husband really enjoys their Bricktown Brookie. Note: it’s not a cupcake. It’s a brownie with a cookie on top, and frosting to look like a cupcake. Apparently that is very good, and very popular. For you cupcakers out there: taste is no where as good as Sara-Sara, size is smaller too. I would say they are hand in hand with Pinkitzel cupcakes, without all the bling.

On a mission to try the local cupcake fare and stopped by here on my way to work. I bought an assorted 6 and after sharing and sampling can’t think of a concrete review to give. All were plain and dry. I did think the cookie cup was good but then I don’t think I’d call it a cupcake either. I’ll keep up the hunt.

Cute store. The cupcakes were mediocure. The one time we went the only thing they had was a chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting, and it had a chocolate goldfish cracker on top. Yeah, not the best«decorating». The cupcake was pretty moist considering it was almost closing time. The girl working was nice and helpful. The cupcakes are small, but their prices aren’t that bad. Not really worth driving from South OKC, though.

I’m not a big sweets person, let’s put that out there. This place seemed to have more appeal for the crowd that likes«cute» over«taste.» Girls seem to like this place, but its just a cupcake. Nothing extraordinary.

This is probably the best cupcake place I’ve gone to, Sara Sara is a-okay, but this is all of it and more! I love all the travel and world-themed cupcakes! Favorite cupcake? Chocolate Cream Cheese City. Large variety, and all the cupcakes have a really sweet and authentic frosting which tops the«cake» part of it. The«cake» part has to be my favorite, though. Soft, light, and oh so fluffy that makes it absolutely – perfect.

I visited for my second time last week. This time I actually purchased some cupcakes. There was a better selection, and the presentation was improved. Service was fast and friendly, and I was out the door in no time! I ordered four different types of cupcakes: Cookies and Cream, Carrot, Raspberry and Drumstick. I took them back to work so my coworkers and I could taste test! I thought the icing on all of the cupcakes was good — and in my opinion they had just the right amount of frosting. From here I will review the actual cake. The cookies and cream had the most moist cake… but it lacked flavor… as one of my coworkers said«It tastes like it came from a box mix.» The carrot cupcake tasted good, it was moist… but, we thought the pieces of carrot could have been smaller. The raspberry and«Drumstick»(vanilla cake + vanilla icing + chocolate sauce + peanuts) were very dry. Their standard cupcakes are really not that big… but their prices reflect that, compared to other establishments. I’m sure it takes time to get everything just perfect, and to get into the swing of things… hopefully Cupcakes To Go Go can survive the already established competitors in the OKC area. I would go back to try other flavors… but I don’t think I found a favorite flavor from the four I tried. I encourage you to stop by Cupcakes to Go Go and see what you think.

I’m not that interested in cupcakes but I came here because of the flamewar that erupted over this place. It seems that Unilocal has removed a number of the negative reviews, but I’ll let their legal team address that issue. I really just came by to add to some weight to the reviews. Cupcakes to Go Go is a cute shop that just opened 4 weeks ago, so there’s hope for them if they make some changes. Everything was really bright and pink, which I think is awesome for a cupcake shop. The staff was friendly and perfectly complimented the business. The cupcakes were a problem though. After talking with the young lady working there for a couple of minutes about the choices, I settled on a carrot cupcake and a red velvet cupcake. Both ended up being about the same. The most serious problem was that the actual cake portion lacked flavor. They were a bit dried out, but this is understandable as I was there around 4pm. The icing was good, but it couldn’t help either cupcake recover. I probably could have switched the icing on the cupcakes and the taste wouldn’t have changed. The other serious issue with this establishment is cleanliness. The situation screams for a more attentive owner or manager. There were literally cupcake crumbs and pieces everywhere. There were crumbs on the seats, counters, floor, everywhere. They really need to sweep and clean more often. That being said, the bathroom was clean, so they just have to take care of the cupcake waste. I hope they can turn this business around because it’s a nice local business with friendly people.
