A good coney dog is appropriate any day of the week.
Jakes Coney Island offers a choice of Schwab’s or Nathan’s dogs.
The toppings include a homemade chili along with Kraut, slaw, mustard, shredded cheddar and other modern choices.
You can ask for onion, Fritos, jalapeños, nacho cheese, BBQ Sauce or hot sauce.
Brats are also available along with spaghetti or Nacho chips.
The prices are quite reasonable. A combo will cost between about 5 for a single coney to 10.50 for 4 coneys and a drink.
Fans of the Thunder will feel quite at home here while they enjoy the basic American cuisine of a coney.

I frequent Jake’s quite often. Their chili is good and their dogs are better. I would suggest trying their more unique hotdog options (I love coleslaw on mine). My only knock would be the price, I always feel that I spend a little more than I should. Regardless, if you want a good coney in Edmond this is your spot.

I was in the mood for something different but didn’t know what. Giving up on searching for it, I decided to go to Jimmy John’s. Pulled into the parking lot for Jimmy’s and this place is next door. I found what I was looking for — something different! I had the atomic dog and Carolina dog. Each was very good and obviously prepared to order with care (see pic). Two dog combo with chips and drink (refills) ran me eight bucks. Loved it and will come back. Neat atmosphere with Thunder décor and a big screen showing the game.

I’ve been here several times. I’ve always enjoyed it. Chili is good, love getting a Frito Chili Pie here. Very reasonably priced, in my opinion as well.

The dog was hot, had the Nathans all beef dog and it was pretty good, the atmosphere is cool with Thunder stuff thru out.

Stopped by here tonight for the first time. It’s 2.29 for one original coney. Which I got to go and they wrap in foil. Such a mess! It includes chili which was barely there a dab of shredded cheese, diced onions and mustard. The environment wasn’t too clean. Heard someone start to sit at a booth and say out loud all these table need to be wiped down. So I waited by the register. There only seem to be one person working. Wasn’t too welcoming and the coney wasn’t that good. My search for a good coney place continues! Let me know if you find one!!!
