I have a vintage 100 watt Carvin tube guitar amp from the 70’s that died on me. These guys were quick to diagnose the problem: the circuit board was too close to the power supply and over the years, enough dust had collected to allow some arcing across the short span between the two components. A design flaw of the amp itself. They replaced the fried components and modified the board to prevent future such occurrences. I really liked how knowledgeable these guys were. They know their stuff and really took an interest in my amp — telling me a lot about it’s construction and how Carvin didn’t make their amps as beefy as this one in latter years. Don’t let the store ‘s appearance deter you. It is an old building in a non-descript industrial strip mall on hywy 99. About as seedy an area as it gets. But they are top-notch pros and I highly recommend them.

So, here is my story and I am sticking to it! I’ve been a guitar player for 38 years and I am a total gear-head. A few weeks ago, I pulled out my 1990’s ADA-MP1 preamp… and I was horrified when I plugged it in and(wait for it)…it sounded really bad. Obviously something in the guts was not working. After a hunt for an electronics shop that might be able to tackle this project, I found Aviator Audio on an ADA resource website. I phoned and spoke with Morris — he was really candid about the potential challenges of fixing this unit based upon recent experience. I decided to gamble and I shipped my MP-1 off to Washington… and I paid for the rush service. Morris emailed me letting me know that he was tracking the receipt of the package — and again when the package was received. A couple of days later, he emailed me with a repair quote and details. I approved the quote(and I called to pay with a cc) and the work began. A previous review commented that A.A. is pricey — I think their pricing was totally fair. A short while later, Morris emailed me that my MP-1 was done and was shipping back. I have a summary and here it is: if you want awesome quality work done at a fair price from a group of folks that are honest, talented and provide excellent customer service — this is the place to go. I am happily rocking my ADAMP-1 and I have Morris and Aviator Audio to thank. I don’t write reviews just to write them — when I take the time, it’s because I am compelled by an awesome experience. Aviator Audio rocks!

I have only the best things to say about this business! Top notch service, fast turn around time, reasonable rates and more knowledgable than anyone else I’ve ever used. I have lots of gear and it gets used and abused! These guys are the best around, they’re the only people I trust to do it correctly. I promise you won’t find better, trust me!

This is a pro guitar and amp repair place. I took my boutique guitar amplifier here and told them what I wanted done to it. They had it for about an hour before they called and told me everything I ever wanted to know about it, and everything they could do to make it better. This place is pro. Pearl Jam takes their vintage gear here. Yes, its pricey, but so is anything done right. Rick made my amp sound way better. If you dont want to wait, they offer a «rush rate». Highly recommended for toneheads.
