It’s so refreshing not to have to go to Lowe’s or HD when I need something of a hardware variety. This place is terrific. They have everything that comes in a well-​stocked hardware store plus lots of gardening, craft, and household goods as well. Absolutely a gem.

First: IT’S ON MAPLE, JUST NORTH OF 5th STREET, BEHIND THE SHOPS. If it wasn’t for the sandwich board signs, I never would’ve found it! Siri wasn’t on top of her game that day, and I have zero sense of direction. But yay! I finally found my local hardware store!!! I HATE going to the big box stores. I’d rather pay a couple dollars more and go to the little guy. I get better service, I don’t feel like I need a golf cart, a map, and a Sherpa to find what I’m looking for in some giant warehouse, and oh yeah, I might have mentioned, I GET BETTER SERVICE !!! The minute I walked through the door, two nice gentlemen helped me with every single detail of my list. I got everything I needed and got out of there in under 7 minutes! Just TRY doing that at Lowes. You can’t even get from the freakin’ parking lot to the first blank-​eyed stare from a cashier in that amount of time at Lowes or Home Depot or, God help you, Walmart. I will certainly be back. :-)

Love these guys! They helped me when I locked my keys in the car! The window was open a crack, and one of them attached a hook to a long thin metal rod and another one was able to hook my keys on the seat. Was so thankful!
They were also very patient with me while I spent over an hour picking out paint colors, asking them lots of questions and for their opinion, and helping me choose the right kind of paint.

Exactly what a smallish, home town hardware store needs to be: friendly, well-​stocked, helpful. Don’t expect a Home Depot, but for a local store, this is at the top of the scale. Support local businesses!
Later addition: I’m restoring an old Jeep — this store always has the small bits and bolts and wire I need. A great asset to Edmonds!!!

I was helping my mother-​in-​law move in to her new condo in Edmonds, and Lowes didn’t have the metric bolt I needed to fasten her big screen TV to the existing wall mount — but this much larger than you’d first expect hardware/​paint/​picture framing business had exactly what I needed — as well as an eager and friendly staff that relished the opportunity to beat Lowes!
I’m thinking about moving to Edmonds just so I can have this place as my local hardware store!
When I mentioned that my amateur photographer mother in law would be interested to learn they did picture framing, the clerk volunteered that they did their framing at-​cost of supplies only, knowing the framing business will grow the hardware and paint business.
Please try these guys before going to The Home Depot or Lowes!
