In a nutshell, PODs is a performance management application (focused right now on the insurance industry) which helps agency owners plan, track, monitor and report on activities in their agency, with real-​time ²⁴⁄₇ visibility into the achievement and results of each individual in the agency, keeping team members on task and accountable, without micro-​managing. There is also reporting which not only lets the agent know who is working and who isn’t, but what is working and what isn’t, enabling the effective allocation of resources for growing agency production.

Designed a little over two years ago, by Eric Whitelaw and his parter Dave Taylor, a 25-​year President’s Council agent, PODs was launched with Farmers in April 2012 and now has over 2,000 users.
