Mr. Handyman of Edmonds

I have never been so disappointed and frustrated with a company. My appointments were cancelled with short notice or no notice at all and I was left waiting. When I called the last time to find out why the handyman hadn’t arrived yet, I was informed that my appointment was cancelled the previous day. I insisted that I had not received a phone call and that there was no record of it on my phone. She didn’t care… they were not planning on coming out to give me a bid because I had mentioned that I was getting more than just their bid on my project and that they «don’t do that». Apparently, they are not willing to compete with another company for a job. I told her that it is a consumers due diligence to get more than one bid and to research a company and that I should not be treated this way because of it. I asked for the name of the owner and she told me that she wouldn’t give it to me. I could continue about her arrogance while on the phone and the other frustrating moments dealing with others in the office, however, I just don’t have the time. I wanted to warn others to stay away… there are too many good, reliable contractors out there.
