Pets At Home offers a unique service in the North Puget Sound area of Washington state. We offer a variety of home nursing care services performed by licensed veterinary technicians who have been trained in veterinary clinics and are able to provide the highest level of nursing care for your beloved pet. These services are provided with the cooperation of your regular veterinarian and in the comfort of your own home.

History

Established in 2010.

Pets At Home was started by Melissa Hoemann, a licensed veterinary technician who has spent many years working within the veterinary field, mainly in emergency and critical care medicine. She saw the need in the community for some type of home pet nursing care as many pet owners were lacking in the knowledge, training, time, ability, or inclination to follow through on home care instructions after pets were discharged from the hospital. Visualizing a way in which to better serve her patients and pets throughout the Puget Sound area, Pets At Home was born in September 2010.

Business Owner

Melissa is a licensed veterinary technician with a special interest in emergency and critical care medicine. She graduated from Pierce College in Lakewood, WA in 2004 with her degree in Veterinary Technology and has been working in ER hospitals for 9 years. Before moving to the Seattle area from Tacoma, she was co-​director of a mostly cat rescue group for 7 years. Melissa is passionate about pets and advocating for the best care possible for each one. She currently lives in Edmonds and has a beautiful Husky and 3 cats.
