Sold me a quality car. Had it checked out by Brets shop down the road and the inspection deemed it near perfection. A few light bulbs were out which Sea-​auto was all too happy to replace for me, free of charge.
Buying a car from these guys, it felt like making deals with friends and family. They’ll hold you to your purchase, «no take backs» and they make that abundantly clear. But, they’ll be honest and frank with you every step of the way, no bull.
Also, from my experience in the area, they were the most competitive prices in town.
I’d buy from them again, in fact, I probably will.

NO. DO NOT GO HERE.
We thought they were honest and upright. Not so. Bought a BMW. Checked out perfect on the computer at BMW in Bellevue BUT the dealership said something in wrong with the transmission and not sure what it is. NOW all the warning lights are on. I am so disappointed that we were dealing with something they knew about I am sure they knew It just would not show up on the diagnostic. Buyer beware. NEVER AGAIN and have since told friends… A post script… I WISH I HAD READ the other experiences others had before I bought a BMW especially… the people who just bought a few months ago and are raving… good luck.

Bought a 2002 RAV4. Kirill was the sales manager we negotiated the deal with. Sea Auto Sales was the 4^th or 5^th dealership we went to and the experience we had was by far the most professional as compared to our previous experiences. Kirill was helpful and the car we bought seems to be working well. The other cars that we saw in the dealership also looked in great condition and if I had the money, I would not mind picking up a sports car from this place.
The dealership does have things priced a little on the higher end and given this was our first car and we were new to all this, we couldn’t negotiate much. Seasoned buyers might have a different experience.
One odd thing that happened was that we got the car pre-​checked before buying. Kirill handled the drop-​off and pick-​up during the check and the report said everything was fine. However, as soon as we left the dealership, the check-​engine light came on withing the first 3 miles. We got it checked at Autozone and they said one of the O2 sensors was bad. They also said that there was no way the pre-​checkup would have missed this so we were were not sure what happened here. We took it to a Toyota dealership and they charged around $ 300 for parts and service. Given this was a small issue, I did not press this issue with Sea Auto sales further but future buyers might want to look out for such small issues. The car did not exhibit any issues after this.
However, overall we had a good experience. Kirill and his crew are friendly and mostly responsive to calls and texts. We didn’t have problems communicating and the entire process with them was very smooth and quick.

I just called Sea Auto 10 minutes ago to have them cancel this terrible warranty they sold me and they were so incredibly rude! At this point I would be happy with a «I am sorry that happened to you, let me take care of this right away» but instead I get «So. did you know that expansion tanks cool and heat and contract and break all the time» and «BMW just isn’t a very well made car, that’s not our fault» and «We sell over 1200 cars a year the only reason our reviews are bad is because they make us pay for the good ones and post the bad ones until we pay» Your reviews are bad because you are selling good people horrible cars and back it up with ridiculous service! I just want this warranty cancelled so we can proceed with taking our $ 10,000 loss today. I don’t want an argument with a 20 year old about why I should be satisfied with my purchase.
Horrible people.

Update 5÷13÷15 @ ~1200: They read the review only to call and bother my family to take-​down this review, and claim this is «slander». Yes, we could’ve went the route of a lawsuit, but the cost of a law-​suit out weights what the cost of the car versus what we could’ve «probably» get, but the benefits of word of mouth and getting the truth out is much valuable. Believe me these are facts, and one thing to understand this isn’t the only review that is marked with a low rating, please go to Unilocal and read the reviews about the same trend, practices these guys are doing. Please take a moment and read this prior to visiting this stealership… This is not a slandered statement. all truth based upon facts from both Autocheck vs Carfax vehicle history reports side by side comparisons.
I don’t usually take the time to write reviews on anything but i made a very BIG, expensive mistake. I bought a $ 28k vehicle from them when it was worth half that, and they knowingly knew this, here’s my reason:
1^st off don’t trust Car fax as they are under a heavy lawsuit (reference of lawsuit
) for information being delayed or not accurately showing on the history of the vehicle and this dealership scam/​use this to their advantage knowing the vehicle they buy on auction bids having salvage titles (as the auction have signed forms prior to selling the vehicle disclosing this information).
Prior to me buying the vehicle they (Sea-​Auto) had bought the car from an auction which was found on AUTOCHECK which listed all the details of the auction buy that the car i had bought from them has 2 salvage titles from major accidents. Of course, me not knowing there was other source (s) for car history check. I assumed carfax was «the one trusted» one out there. Long story short i had issues with the car days after i bought the car, they told me it was «as is» and there’s nothing they could do about it. Tried to trading the car (which is how i found out about the 2 rebuilt titles) the deal wouldn’t deal with my car because of the salvage/​rebuilt title.
I called Sea-​auto, they said they only go by what «CarFax» information and i had to take up to carfax to have the issue resolved and there’s nothing they could do about it. So i paid premium price of what a clean title low mileage car was, for a car that wasn’t worth half that and they knew this off hand but kept, hush-​hush til i signed the papers.
So don’t make this mistake i made, if you want real information about a vehicle at their lot spend the $ 30 buck use AUTOCHECK (created by Experian one of the three credit beau company’s). Because $ 30 bucks is better than losing ~$ 13,000 loss I made.
There’s a reason for why others are writing reviews a speaking about this place. listen and educate yourself…

The 4 – 5 stars reviews below has to be from the owner or sales people working at Sea-​Auto. They cant be real and BEWARE of these sellers. The cars they SELL has ZERO warranty for a reason and DONT purchase there warranty. My friend previously bought a car from them and it turns out the A/​C went OUT after 1 week. They are very RUDE ppl to work with and they will not refund you OR help to resolve the issues. THIS IS WHY THERE CAR IS AS-​IS… i did a bit more research and it turns out the car was in a accident and there CAR FAX shows no accidents. LIARS AND SCAMMERS. you will notice when you walk into the dealership that there all bunch of YOUNG «cant find proper job» car sells ppl who just lie all day long to get a sale. I understand you have to make a living, but GOD DAMN… this is got to be the most dishonest dealership that sells FAKE cars imported from CHINA…

I was very reluctant to make the trip to Edmonds from West Seattle after reading the laughably bad reviews about this dealership here on Unilocal.
I was hunting for an Audi S4 Avant and Sea Auto had one: black on black leather with BBS CH 18″ rims. It also had the 350 hp 4.2L V8 and was fully loaded.
The fact that they were selling such a rare car that is fairly hard to find for sale, made me decide to at least call them to see if any bad vibes manifested themselves so I could rule them out.
A guy named Tim answered the phone and I promptly blasted him about the very negative reviews left here on Unilocal.Surprisingly, Tim displayed none of the sleazy, douche baggery I was prepared to experience and instead was very well spoken and polite.
We talked for awhile and I decided to make the trip up to test drive the car. My thought was, I will go in and THEN the truth will come out. Then, I will see the sleaze manifest at it’s home where it’s most comfortable and powerful and where you are most vulnerable. I told myself and my extremely skepticle girlfriend that we were walking at the first whiff of bad cologne. Spikey hair, gaudy jewelry, any sign of sleazy, lying behavior, or at the very least, bad taste and we were leaving immediately.
Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised and no such thing materialized during our entire visit.
Tim warmly welcomed us and already had the car ready for us to take for a spin.
The Audi was nice, everything they said it was, no hidden surprises. It felt like a new car. Razor sharp acceleration and extremely tight handling. Everything worked, few small cosmetic blemishes, no big deal and to be expected from a 2006 car. I had checked the Car Fax already and could review the maintenance record which was very extensive. I knew the car had been well serviced and surmised it has been reasonably cared for.
So far so good, but I was hardly ready to trust this dude.
I had done my homework and saw that they were asking a little less then the high end of fair market value for the year and mileage. So I knew that we were in the ball park on asking price.
Ok, so now I’m ready to talk business. These guys were being surprisingly professional. We are still in the the seduction faze, I told myself, but let’s see what they have to offer.
We had a trade in so we dealt with Corel, who I believe is the manager of the dealership with this. He offered us a fair trade in value for our car and was very straight up with us.
Still, I had witnessed none of the sleazy antics described in the reviews.
We ended up buying the car, at what I believe was a fair price. The finance manager Vitaly, got us a very good interest rate and the car is mint.
I had one minor issue with the windshield wiper fluid after having the car for a week. I called Corel, who had told me to call him if there were any issues.
He had me come in, put the car in his shop right away and had his Mechanic fix the issue at no charge. No big deal maybe, but he definitely did not have to do it. So it was appreciated.
If I had one negative criticism, it would be the tires. They were worn slightly past the point of being safe to drive on and I didn’t catch it during my night time visual inspection and test drive. I had to replace them the next day after buying the car when I could see how worn the treads were, which irritated me more than a little.
It was something that should have been disclosed and is the only reason I didn’t give the dealership a 5 star review.
That said, I have been driving the car every day now for two weeks and so far have had no other issues. I’m really very pleased with this car.
Bottom line, I can’t speak to others having a negative experience at Sea Auto Sales. All I can say is, I didn’t.
It’s always a roll of the dice to buy a used car, but I feel I was treated very professionally and fairly at this dealership and that’s about the best you can ask for.
Would I buy another vehicle from this dealership? Yes I would.

I bought a great car from this dealer in December 2014. I don’t typically rate but in this case I had a good experience and found them to be professional and easy to deal with. None of the problems people cite below. So having had the car for a month and still smiling about it, I thought I would spend a little time and explain how my experience went.
It was very quick and easy. I had contacted them in advance to let them know I would be by to look at it. I was glad they were expecting me when I arrived, the car was ready to inspect, no nonsense. I drove the car and liked it a lot, so I made an offer. We dickered a less than typical amount, offers and counteroffers went quickly, and we agreed on a price. Very professional and no funny stuff.
Here is the part that was better than average. I gave them a deposit and they agreed in writing to fix two issues before I would take delivery. This did not go in their favor but they kept their side of the deal. As costs began to mount I expected at some point they’d begin asking me to share the costs. They never complained once and kept taking the next step until it was fixed, even though they had to send the car out to a specialist. I saw no signs of unethical behavior here.
For those who are not comfortable mitigating the risks of buying used cars, possibly a new car would be a better option. For those who are not accustomed to negotiations, here are some PROTIPs.
The salesperson’s opinions are OPINIONS
This dealer buys cars at auction and from strangers! They do not have any personal knowledge if a car has a strong clutch or great brakes. If you ask them you would be foolish to rely on their answer — it’s just an opinion. But in this dealer’s ads, there is always a link to a CARFAX report. This is strongly credible evidence of a vehicle’s history. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Google the VIN and find out a lot about the car. Look up the value on
or other sites. Don’t rely on a salesman to do your research for you.
Inspections by mechanics are also OPINIONS
Or go to an inspector of your choosing. Of course they will be happy to let you have the car inspected if you insist. If they say no, say goodbye. But even your inspection is just another OPINION. I have a funny story when I took an older Mercedes for a presale inspection to a mechanic with top reputation. His glowing review did not stop the rear end from falling out of the car in less than a month. Yes. It was lying on the pavement, disconnected from the driveline a few feet behind the car. So, ehhhh. There you go.
Get things in WRITING
Any agreements no matter how small or big get transferred to a special piece of paper called WE OWE. This paper is part of the stack you sign when you close the deal. You sign this paper and the words are very large at the top! You cannot fail to see it! So for people below to say they had promises which were not kept is not credible. If promises were made they are on the WE OWE or they do not exist.
Buying used cars is RISKY
When you are signing all those papers, you sign ten times that THEY OWE YOU NOTHING and THERE IS NO WARRANTY and THIS IS A USED CAR. If you drive it off the lot, and it blows up, you own all the pieces.
Third party warranty coverage is SHADY AS HELL
If you bought an extended warranty, it says in those papers what the warranty company owes you. If you have a beef with the warranty company, take it up with them or the attorney general. Misplaced warranty anger isn’t the same as saying a dealer has no scruples. If you want an extended warranty dont buy it from them. Google «used car extended warranty» and choose from many companies. Be smart about this!
Sorry about the ramble but buying cars is expensive and mistakes can be costly. But I didn’t see anything at this dealer to beware. Go buy a car there and don’t forget to do your research in advance. If you are ready to buy this is a good place to shop.

Bought a car from them and literally said «any damages or unworking parts?» They said no and I left and behold 2 windows didn’t work. I was an idiot and should have checked. Then a few weeks later the sunroof went out and then the gas door wouldn’t pop open making me rip out the interior wall of my trunk. Seriously such dishonest people. They also did a ride along test and wouldn’t allow me to stop by a mechanic. He said not to because they had one at the shop. Lies. Lies. Lies.

Surprisingly more people giving bad feedback than positive feedback so I decided to post my feedback! Couple days ago I bought my 6^th car from this dealership. Few month ago I asked them to find me a specific car 2011 Volkswagen CC so I can trade my Jetta plus cash and month later they called me. So I went to the dealership from Bellingham and saw how beautiful the car is that it made me want to pay now but Vitaly (salesman?) asked me if I have test drive the car, I said no and he said I should test drive to make sure I like it before I make the payment! So I did test drive and I end up loving the car more and paid the car for $ 16,500 without trading because I didn’t like the price they offer me for my Jetta! Few days later the car still run great just like other 5 cars (is300,330i, 330ci, 325c, Jetta) I bought from this dealership for the past 6 years and I never had a problem other than replacing bald tires even though I have salvage title for my Jetta! This dealership deserve 5 stars and I’m Looking forward to buy a car again from this dealership in the future.

Two words: STAY AWAY. I do not want to say that Sea Auto is full of dishonest people, but I can say there is a certain level of incompetence at this dealership that I have never seen in a business that is still functioning. Let me give the one silver lining up front, because I am a person who likes to give credit where credit is due. The one person who worked very hard for me was Kirrel, who I believe was the sales manager. He is not a gear head, but he knows how to sell cars and to point out key features because he is car amenity smart. I had one conversation with him after my experience went bad, where I told him I thought he was a good person and meant well, but he needed to go work for another dealership because in my belief Sea-​Auto Sales is a sinking ship. So here is the BLUFF (bottom line, up front) on what happened when I bought my 14K American Dollar lemon from this dealership. I drove one hour (each way) to see a show-​room pictured 2006 Volvo V70R. This R model was a flagship of Volvo performance and at the time the leader in luxury performance. I went to the dealership and took the car for a ride and pointed out the brakes needed work (throbbing), the sunroof was inoperative and the paint looked like it had been parked in shopping cart alley on Black Friday. The car had plenty of power and nothing came out of the exhaust as far as smoke (key point to remember here). During the test drive a warning light came on (LOW OIL), and the car commanded me to shut the engine off. I was almost back at the dealership so I continued on and parked the car. Kirrel explained he had no idea why that happened because they always change oil on all of their cars as soon as they come in with synthetic oil. I shut the engine down and checked the oil and saw it was down one quart, which I showed to Kirrel. He apologized and said he would call «Peter» who turned out to be the «mechanic» for the shop. Fast forward, they added a quart of oil and the light went away (Volvo cars will turn on a low oil light when one quart is absent). I agree to buy the car but noticed the air conditioning was blowing hot air. They agree to fix free of charge, so I come back a week later to get my car only to find the AC is blowing hot air again! I refuse to take the car and come back again and the air is cold, but it only stays cold for a couple days before it gets hot again. I receive permission from Kirrel to bring the car to a local Volvo dealer to get the AC fixed, (which they fixed first try of course), but when the dealership calls Sea-​Auto to pay the tab, Peter refuses to pay! Again, the one shiny penny at Sea-​Auto (Kirrel), who is now on his day off apologizes again and calls Peter on his cell after I explain that THEY sent me to dealer and now they are trying to refuse to pay? After conveying my displeasure to Peter we came to an agreement to let the Volvo dealership fix the AC but if the problem persisted, I would bring the car back to Sea-​Auto for repairs. Now, I drive my cars with respect; meaning I allow plenty of time for warm-​up, I don’t jack rabbit start and I use synthetic engine oil and premium fuel. Exactly 760 miles later, the low oil light comes on again and I have to add another quart! Also popping up was an engine warning, and when I had it scanned by another certified mechanic, was a MAF (MASS Air Flow) sensor and an Oxygen sensor (both flagged as bad). The interesting part is my mechanic was able to clear the codes, the car would run fine for a few days then they would come back. Then came the white/​blue smoke from the exhaust when the car was revved while getting onto the freeway. As all of these failures started to happen, I went back to my Volvo mechanic who was very willing to tear into my car, but he said it was going to be pricey. The fix? His initial thoughts were both 02 sensors, a MAF sensor (which I did replace), and an engine rebuild. Oh, and it needed all four shocks/​struts replaced to the tune of $ 950 for each shock, just for the parts. All told, I was looking at a $ 6K repair bill, and it was a conservative estimate. As I replayed the steps in my head it was clear that Peter (the mechanic supervisor) was clearing the engine codes just to get the car out the door, and so a customer would not notice. Also, it was clear his level of incompetence was a contributing factor in him not being able to fix my air conditioning. Sea-​Auto agreed to take the car in and have Peter work the smoking issue/​oil burning issue but I refused because I no longer trusted the abilities of Peter. Also, I would have to use their shop at their labor rates, rather than them fixing the car and making their customer happy. Questions still unanswered to this day are: How is this company still in business with such shoddy, shade tree mechanics? Is the person who goes to the auctions the incompetent one and Peter is just forced to fix whatever they buy at auction?
Bottom line: Buy elsewhere!

Wow should have checked out the reviews before driving an hour to look at an 08 BMW the sales guy and owner are full of ego and argued with my husband and I about pricing. What a turn off… would never buy a car from these guys.

Sleaze city. I was selling my car (VW Touareg) on Craigslist and Roman contacted me to see it. He didn’t identify himself as a dealer/​salesperson which is fine, but he did request that I take the car to his friends «shop» so that he could have it inspected and if it passed he would buy it on the spot. When I arrived a «mechanic» came out and took it for a test drive where he agreed it was in great shape. When we got back from the test drive another «mechanic» popped the hood and started yanking the plastic trim panels from the engine bay like an ape. That’s the most accurate analogy I can come up with. He didn’t «see» anything wrong in the engine bay (yep, the engine’s there) so mechanic #1 hopped back in the car to pull it up on the lift. He drove the car a short distance then got out and asked Roman to drive. Roman drove it a few feet then got out and they conferred. Then they asked me if there was something weird going on with the brakes.
I hopped in and sure enough — almost no brakes. I asked the «mechanic» if he knew what was wrong and he didn’t know so I told him. I asked him if he couldn’t hear the «whoosh» of air while the engine was running. Then I told him «$ 100 your machanic yanked out a vacuum line when he was tearing into the engine bay.» We popped the hood and I carefully removed the trim and voila there was an unplugged and cracked vacuum pipe (dealer cost to replace $ 300). They zip-​tied it up but it still has a crack.
Roman then proceeded to try to lowball me and I told him I was firm in my price. I asked him if he had found any deficiencies with the vehicle mechanical or cosmetic during the inspection and he said «No». If you have no intention of buying a car, don’t waste MY time.
I then informed him that I would hold them accountable for the repair of the broken vacuum line. I’ve strived to keep my vehicle maintained in excellent condition. I always have it serviced at the dealership and adhere to scheduled service religiously. I don’t do jury-​rigged parts.
The company admitted fault but now claims that they fixed it with a zip-​tie so they’re not paying for anything. VW confirmed that the part should be replaced. I was firm in my price (as stated in my ad) but they couldn’t do me the decency of stating that they had no intention of offering anywhere near what I was asking. So I basically wasted a chunk of my day to have my car abused.

Test drove a 350z, the salesmen Josh was cool, easy going and non pushy. Answered my questions and gave me a card. Great environment for dealers catering to PNW personalities.

They totally tried to cheat and scam us just to make a sale on an Audi that we wanted. They are very scandalous and thank goodness for Unilocal reaffirming what we were sensing about these salesman. I highly recommend that you DONT BUY FOM THEM! Period.

I drive a car that I bought from this dealership a couple months ago and its been nothing but good to me. I told them I needed a car and they recomended it to me. The sales man was was very patient told me everything about the car and let me test drive it before I decided to buy it. The car was good it didnt seem to have any flaws. So I bought the thing and ever since I have been happy with my decision. Definetly looking forward to coming here again in the future.

Do not EVER buy a car here! They do not care if what they are selling is safe to drive. They are dishonest and manipulative.
Ladies beware… If they think you don’t completely know what you are doing they will use your lack of knowledge against you!

If only things would have worked out…
I’d be in a much worse position it seems. I didn’t check Unilocal before going to this car dealer, I just saw he had the car we were looking for and drove out there to take a look at it.
My girlfriend and I have been looking at buying a car for a while, her current car is about to give up the ghost. So, we saw the car we wanted here at this lot — It was the right color. It had low miles… the photos looked great! So, we drove out there and checked it out. Looked good, body was in good shape, the engine compartment looked clean and there were no obvious signs of repairs. It started just fine and ran but we didn’t take it out for a spin — didn’t want to do that until we checked out financing from our credit union.
We went to our credit union and arranged for financing. Pre-​Approval was secured, so now, all we needed to do was have our mechanic give it a once-​over and a clean bill of health and Sea-​Auto Sales would have moved that car TODAY.
But, that’s where things went a little odd. You see, Sea-​Auto doesn’t allow you to take a vehicle farther than 5 miles from the lot. «Due to insurance not covering the car if it’s taken farther than five miles…» What a load of bull crap. I’ve taken plenty of cars to my mechanics to look over, it’s pretty much the norm if you’re a cautious buyer. I’ve taken plenty of cars overnight — let’s face it, how much can you learn about a car in a 10 minute test drive? Our personal car insurance will cover us and their car during the test drive. They have to know this, the are supposedly the pros, right? We are not looky-​loos so it struck us as odd that we didn’t get to take the car to our mechanic. What sort of reputable car lot wouldn’t allow this?
Well, one look at Unilocal and we got our answer. If the other posters are to be believed, these people are unscrupulous swindlers and are not to be trusted. I guess that would explain why they don’t want an independent mechanic taking a look at their cars… that in itself speaks volumes, that and the other reviews here — it now makes complete sense.
I should have checked Unilocal first, it would have saved me the drive.

Purchased an Audi from this lot a few months ago. Very happy with my car. Great staff, reliable vehicles, many nice sports cars. They did my oil change at their service facility recently and I was happy with the service they provided. They fully detailed my car for free and charged me a very reasonable price for oil change. A few of my friends and my husband purchased cars from them and no one seemed to complain about their service and quality of cars. I am definitely going back in there to purchase my next car. They seem to have great financing options cuz when my husband financed his car through one of their banks he got a good rate. And they seem to be pretty open about everything when we asked.

I purchased a car from sea-​auto a few years ago and had a really bad experience. The car ended up needing costly repairs that were not disclosed when I purchased the vehicle. After reaching out to the sales person and manager at the time they refused to do anything about it. So I was out a lot of $$$.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I got an email letting me know that Sea-​Auto had new owners, managers etc. The owner personally contacted me to apologize for the issues I had with the old management. After some discussion the new management made things right. Even though they had nothing to do with all the crap that went down with the old staff. They were very willing to help restore sea-auto’s reputation and mop up a mess that wasn’t theirs. I have to say that I am throughly impressed with the efforts of the new management. They are going to be changing sea-​auto for the better!
I would definitely think about buying a car from sea-​auto again now despite my first experience. I am confident that if I purchased a car from them that ended up having problems that they would do what it takes to make it right.
I tip my hat to the new staff at sea-​auto. Remember — honesty and integrity get’s you loyal customers I hope that the staff continues to keep it up!
