Tuff Shed, Inc.

I ordered a very basic shed through Home Depot, with a few options added. I waited 7 weeks for the shed to be manufactured and installed. The crew was very professional and built the shed quickly. However the crew informed me the kit was not complete and was missing the shed’s trim pieces. Also, upon my inspection, I found the Smart Floor had not been installed. It was on the crew’s work order, but had also not been included. When I reached out to Tuff Shed, I was told they did not have anyone available to make the «repairs» for another month. That was extremely disappointing and showed very poor customer service. The incomplete shed looks to be well constructed and I would give it 5 stars on its own. So for Tuff Shed’s poor quality control and their unsatisfactory follow up, I’m giving them 1 star. And for those reasons, I would NOT recommend Tuff Shed to my friends or neighbors.

Chris has always wanted a shed. Must be a guy thing. So after coveting a friend’s shed, we stopped at Tuff Shed on Aurora to check it out. The whole shed-​ordering thing was fairly simple — just a few choices to make, roof color, etc. They scheduled install for a few weekends later.
So the day of the big install arrives, and we have the whole area prepared. The two guys who came to build it looked like they’re about 12. Once the base went down, I was pretty sure it wasn’t oriented right, but I got some explanation about it being in square and that was it. It went up quickly and soon I realized that it wasn’t parallel to the house. But too late. You can’t move a 2000 lb shed. They also put on the wrong color roof but quickly dispatched someone that week to layer the right roof color right on over it.
So yeah, every time I look at it I want to scoot it over in my mind, but I’ve learned to let it go. Life isn’t perfect. We painted it a dark green and in spring it will have something growing around it so I won’t notice so much.
And Chris? He’s VERY happy.
Must be a guy thing.
