Super teriyaki joint in Edmonds, right across from PCC. Doesn’t look like much from the street view, but it is very clean, with great food, service and specials. I ordered a bento box that came with chicken katsu and California rolls. Delicious! The BF got the chicken breast teriyaki and loved it. It took a bit longer than expected to get our food, but we didn’t mind. It appeared there was just the one employee/owner working and he was patient and kind. Magazines and newspapers on the counter with the free water and tableware for those who want to read something while waiting for their to go order or while dining alone. They use dishes that you’d see if you were eating at your Japanese friend’s home instead of plain, ordinary dinnerware. Typical ordering style of ordering at the counter, then the food is delivered to your table. Food: 4 Service: 4 Parking: 4 Ambiance: 4

I have eaten there twice. First time I got veggie tempura, 7 dry nasty over fried things for $ 10. Tonight I tried again this time I ordered chicken yakisoba this time it had a dark black hair in it. After driving back to return it I got audited. I will Never order food from them again! Do not eat at this so called restaurant. I think I should be able to give a 0 rating on this place.

Delicious food– you have to try their chicken yakisoba and beef! Friendly and very sweet owners! A regular teriyaki will fill you up and give you enough to save for the next day. Clean restaurant and clean bathroom. Been coming here for years and they know me by name and my usual dish. Definitely recommend.

Dear All: Actually, I could not choose ZERO stars so my 1 star choice is only because I couldn’t choose zero. I recommend that you do NOT eat at Yummy Teriyaki on Edmonds Way. Yes, this is across the street from PCC and nearby Ivar’s. This late afternoon(7÷22÷15), I was hungry and decided to try this place out. My banker at Wells Fargo across the street told many months ago«It is OK food if you are in a pinch.» I met the man at the counter. He said he was Korean. I ordered the stir fried beef, rice and cabbage salad. I was eating my food when I noticed a black strand of hair in my salad. I told the Korean man behind the counter: «Hi there is a hair in my food. I need you to refund my money or make me another meal without hair.» Here was his response: A) He took the hair in his hand and grabbed my plate. He said, «I have to go check.» B) He came back and told me «What hair? I don’t see any hair.» C) He went back and forth to the kitchen then he accused me of putting the hair in my food. When I insisted that he return my money. D) He told me to get our of his restaurant and dismissed me with his hand. He yelled something at me in Korean. To close this is the most offensive, most insulting and unprofessional situation I ever experienced in Edmonds. I would refrain from going into this place. The food has hair and the customer service is beyond lousy. I am disputing the charges with my BECU. I did not get the service I paid for plus I got insulted. Never, never eat at Yummy on Edmonds Way. You will be sorry.

I was not very pleased with this place. My parents and I came about 30 minutes to close to grab a quick bite, and felt very unwelcome. I understand it was cutting it close, but its not like the place is full service and would take more than 20 minutes to dine. The food was pretty average, and for the«fast casual» setting, was kind of pricey. My guess is that there is better out there.

My daughter and I came here after getting our nails done. We both got the chicken teriyaki bento. It was great. A little pricey. With 2 waters and a small tip it came to $ 35.00. The cabbage salad was pretty good. Not a lot of extra crap on the plate that you never eat anyway. The owner was very friendly and bonus… The bathroom was clean!

I am so beyond pissed off! I work a 12 hour shift in 30 mins! I went to this POSPLACE to get a teriyaki and Katsu to go w extra Katsu! DOESTHIS Fkn LOOKLIKEDOUBLEMEAT(KATSU)??? No it doesn’t! and I got charged 14 $! wtf he is rude and I asked him how much double meat would be and he said«I told you alreadddyyyyy». WTF. He didn’t! I was gonna be late to work and starving! I will NEVERGOTHEREAGAIN! I hate how they Fkn judge people when they order food. If a bigger male bodybuilder guy walked in, he would have filled the to go box w extra meat! Not the bull shit I got! It’s nasty, dry and he packed more rice which I hate! Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh F off!

This place has been here for many years and the owners are very friendly and give generous portions. The spicy chicken teriyaki keeps me coming back mainly because I think they stir fry the spicy sauce instead of just putting hot chili sauce over regular chicken like other places. The food is simple but good. A bit confused about some of the other reviews, but I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and still enjoy the teriyaki.

Restaurant was clean owner very nice. Ordered the Dinner Special for 8.95. Comes with salad rice egg roll and chicken Teriyaki. And a can of soda. The cabbage salad was tasty and I liked the soy dipping sauce for the egg roll. The chicken was perfectly cooked and rice was good(hard to go wrong with Rice) Service was fast, a good experience and will be back to try other items

After reading past /old reviews. It is clear to me that Yummy must upped their game a bit. The lunch special was a good price for a lot of tasty food. The owner is a really nice guy. And obviously cares about what he serves his customers. ~Q

I have been coming here for well over 10 years. The spicy chicken teriyaki and spicy chicken yakisoba is what keeps me coming back! The chicken is marinated instead of just splashed with teriyaki sauce and they do a great job by cutting all the fat off the chicken. Erik, the owner, is a really nice guy if you go out of your way to simply talk to him about things other than teriyaki. I highly recommend this teriyaki restaurant!

NOTYUMMY! The food was just plain rotten. The beef tasted like a fatty liver. The chicken was dry and tasted reheated. The star attraction was the massive mound of white rice that amounted to 75% of the plate. I just moved nearby and was really hoping this place would be good. It was the opposite: disgusting and over-priced.

I had a terrible experience here! I went with my very pregnant daughter on a not busy Sat afternoon. She ordered while I studied the menu. Very clearly she asked for the lunch special. I kept looking at the menu and finally chose spicy chicken teriyaki. We sat down and within minutes my plate came out. My daughter said«go ahead and eat-mine will be out in a second» so I ate. 10 minutes latewr I was almost finished and she still did not have food. She went to the counter and asked to have her order to go. The woman at the counter said«what food?». The order had never been sent to the kitchen! The woman seemed unconcerned and obviously did not care. My food was completely mediocre-I’ve had worse, I’ve had better. We left so my daughter could go to her favorite teriyaki place. I will not be back. The«who cares» attitude and so-so teriyaki were not inviting.

I’ve lived in Edmonds for over 10 years now and FINALLY decided to try this place. All in all, not bad! The food was good and while I did take it to go, the dining room seemed just fine to me. I mean, this is not a 5-star restaurant or anything, so after Kristi H’s review, I was a bit worried. The bathroom was also nice and clean.

Well, I would have to disagree completely with Kristi. The place has been completely renovated and it looks amazing! The price is pretty fair but more importantly, they give you SOMUCH food. The owners are super friendly and always accommodating. My family and friends all love this place. I would say this is THE teriyaki place for Edmonds. Sorry, Kristi.

We went to this place when our favorite local Teriyaki place was closed for some remodel work. My first impression of the eat-in area was«meh». The place seemed rundown, a little dirty and simply unpleasant. It made me glad I wasn’t eating in. We ordered and found the price to be rather high at $ 3 more than our usual stop, and at least $ 2 more than most places we’ve been recently. The wait was decent, but a little long. The food was okay; not thrilling, but not bad. In the future, we’d only go here if there were no other options available.
