The rigorous education program at Lutheran High is designed to challenge students, but doing so in an environment that helps each child grow in knowledge and succeed in life. With 97% of graduates over the last five years enrolling in college, certainly the curriculum is «college prep» and intended to prepare students for whatever career and college program they select. The curriculum is designed to ensure that each student receives a complete and high-quality Christian education. The goal of the academic program is to create a unique community of learners based on Christian values.
History
Established in 1977.
Our senior class of 2013 was the thirty-third graduating class from Metro-East Lutheran High School. For this we give thanks to our Lord and Savior. Metro-East Lutheran High School, owned and operated by an association of Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations, started in 1977 as the result of several families coming together with a mutual concern about the Christian education of their children beyond the eighth grade. At that time there was not a Lutheran high school on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River in the St. Louis region.
