Great place, with an admirable selection of cigars. This family-owned shop has good service and the right feel of an old smoke shop. They also have a great selection of pipe tobacco, if that’s your thing.

One star for location. A generally weak humidor poorly maintained unless you enjoy dry cracked cigars. Obnoxious staff. The home– or golf course-smoker can beat the price online. For the lounge done right see Stanley’s or The Hill Cigar Co. Milos is a click up from grabbing smokes at Caseys.

A great store all around. Family owned and it shows in their service. They are always willing to help. Not a huge selection but they have every popular brand and are always getting new stuff.

Going to a cigar shop is like going back in time. For one, smoking is allowed there(even in Illinois), and two, you get one-on-one customer service. I know nothing about cigars except that the best ones are Cuban and therefore illegal. However, my friend just had a baby, and I wanted to get four above-board cigars that wouldn’t get me in trouble with the FTC. The guy behind the sales counter at Milo’s, possibly the proprietor, took me to the humidor and found me some cigars that wouldn’t break the bank. Even so, they were about $ 6.00 each, which I found out was a good price for a decent cigar. If you have the need to smoke cigars indoors with creepy old guys in a faux 19th century study, they even have a private club you can join. However, I’m limiting my cigar smoking to the relatively rare occasions when a child is born.
