Great place away from the AC strip. Had the calamari and it was portioned as an app and was fresh with a great tomato sauce. The Caesar salad was also great and was served on a cold plate. I find that to be important. Last I had the Bahama mama combo of shrimp and crawfish. This was first time cracking craw fish and the meal was a nice size for 15.99 and was great. Staff was very nice and was even entertained on my first attempt opening shells. The only negative was the décor. Very outdated and there roof looks like its syncing in spots. I would highly recommend going here for a nice night out and getting away from AC. They have lunch specials that are a good bang for the buck.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Ask for Susan, one of the best waitresses who is so personable and knows menu back and front. Food was delicious, especially banger shrimp appetizer and sautéed crab cake. Décor needs an upgrade, but worth the visit.

PLEASESTAYAWAY!!! I WOULDLEAVENOSTARSBUTTHRYREQUIREYOUTOPUTSOMETHING. Went there tonight 6−28−14 for a late fathers day dinner because my father loves the all you can eat crab deal. We arrived at 6:45 pm and seated promptly as restaurant was not busy at all. We were greeted by our friendly waitress who took our drink order while we looked over the menu even though all 3 of us knew we were doing the all you can eat crabs for $ 45. When waitress came back I asked her about the dungenous crabs if we could pay extra for adding them because last time they allowed us. She then told us they don’t have those crabs for 3 months because of price but they continue to have them on their menu which I don’t understand. So we ask for a few more minutes to look over the menu. She came back and we said well all do the all you can eat crabs that come w blue claw and snow crabs, she then informed us that they are running out of blue claw and the manager said that they won’t allow the all you can eat with the blue claws because they only have 40 of the left but we could order them as a separate fee. So I asked the waitress since the only crabs I can eat are snow crab are they going to lower the price of $ 45, she stated no and asked if I would like to speak to the manager and I said yes. The manager came over and we explained that since they are out of the blue claws will they lower the price because it’s the right thing to do, he then started to give additive and said no the price is what it is and since we only have 40 crabs left you can order the all you can eat and then order a separate meal with the crabs. As we were talking with him he just walked away because he didn’t want to hear about our dis pleasures. So we got up and left and as we were leaving we said how we felt and he came over with the worst attitude and tone of voice and basically told us to get the hell out, as he was walking away he started slapping the back of his head, in front of the patrons that were in the restaurant and bar. DOYOURSELF A FAVORANDSTAYAWAYOFTHISHORRIBLERUNRESTAURANT. Go to a different restaurant and spend your money. Do not support this a**hole of a manager and keep him employed. He should be fired.

My boyfriend & I had got a gc to this place, so we went on 1÷9÷13 at 7pm. We ordered Crab Bisque and it was white and as thick as paste. We also ordered a bunch of apps and a Calamari Salad to split, explaining that we d like it all spaced out well that wasn’t the case it all hit the table T the same time including the soup. There were sauces missing, hot food cold, and when we mentioned it all came at once all the waitress said was«I can leave something in the window until your ready for it.» Being in the business sitting under a heat lamp dries it out and makes it worse. Never was it an option to have it remade, never did a manager walk around, and for as steady as it was there were only 3 waitress and 2 full dining rooms soo check backs were not an option. She never even mentioned anything to the manager until we asked to see a Manager as we were walking out the door… Paid the bill, tipped 20% because we are in the business but definitely not a great first impression and wouldn’t recommend it for dinner, never been there for lunch and really doubt we would go back. Come to find out these excellent reviews are friends of friends according to a friend of a friend that works there… what bs!!! place is the worst from the staff, to manager/owner, to the filthy restaurant & bathroom but I guess some people like that stuff. Carry on

Had a terrible meal here on Sat. The stuffed shrimp were almost unedible. My wife had a tasteless salmon dish. The overall service was lousy and the place was almost empty at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night. We used to love this place but it has gone way downhill in this visit. We won’t be back for a long time.

If you are on your way home from the shore or near AC this is a must try! Fun drinks, good eats and friendly servers make for a great meal. During the summer, the mojitos are delicious. I’m not a big beer drinkers but my husband is, and there is always a selection of craft beers. For food… start with bangin’ shrimp and the Eastbay sushi roll. Their Sarasota salad is definitely something I have never had anywhere else and it’s delicious! For dinner, they have awesome prime rib and shrimp dishes. I am not a crab eater, but my husband is… and enjoyed multiple portions of the«all you can eat crabs». He said the seafood was tasty and fresh! To finish it off we each had a dessert, the brownie sundae and the tollhouse cookie pie(a’la mode obviously) which finished up a tasty meal! Don’t pass up this hidden gem!

If you like seafood this place is for you. this place has a Bennigans meets Red Lobster vibe which made for a poor ambiance. I was not to please with the menu options either. Typically, I can go to a seafood restaurant and still find something chicken or steak based that I am willing to try. Everything on their menu in those categories was something i had and was not interested in trying there. Chicken parm and steak an potatoes. Nothing with a «Wow» factor. Server seemed friendly but when we got the bill we noticed that refills were not free. Its doesn’t say so in the menu and as I am sure Atlantic city has many out of towners, I would have been nice if the waitress had mention that instead of it popping up on the bill. According to my fiancé and the kids, their food was good. Still doesn’t mean I will be returning.

Great spot for casual dining and getting a few beers. All you can eat crabs(snow crab, dungeness or blue claw), ribs are good too. Happy Hour specials are terrific. Good beer selection. I don’t know why it is three $$$ dollar signs, most entrees are less than $ 20, should be two $$ dollar signs. I had some great cheesecake for dessert. Rotating drink specials and rotating dessert menu. There is a separate bar area with seating as well.

Went for Lunch. All in all a decent value for a pretty good lunch. We had the following: Cream of Green Bean soup. Never had this before and quite honestly I wasn’t all that excited about ordering it. The Soup was served hot and I would order this again. Nice seasoning and very pleasant taste. I had the Chicken Marcella. Very tender and taste was very good. Lips had the Steak with Lump Crab meat and he reported it was cooked as ordered and was tender. Sure, I would visit again.

we stopped here after driving around for a bit looking for a «mom & pop» restaurant that wasn’t italian. it’s harder than you would think to find something like that in the off-season. it was defintely not a new restaurant, but it was clean and had that darker, but friendly feeling that you don’t find in the chains. the hostess was super-friendly and we got seated pretty quickly. one of the busers brought us over a piping hot loaf of bread with some sort of house something-or-other to dip in. it was outrageously good. we later discovered from the waitress that it’s a mixture of olive oil, malt vinegar, tobasco, cilantro and scallions. so good. we didn’t event touch the butter that came with it as well. we ended up ordering a caesar salad, a cup of the corn and crab chowder, a crab cake platter(with a baked potato) and a crab cake sandwich, as someone leaving the restaurant said that the crab cakes were good. we were not steered wrong. the caesar salad had a lot of dressing on it, so if you like your veggies to not be soaked in dressing, asking for the dressing on the side is probably a good idea. the soup was filling, hot and very good. it had a really good flavor, even if it wasn’t as chunky as i like my chowders to be. the crab cakes were excellent. lots of large chunks of crab, not too much filler, and the option to get them broiled or fried(we both opted for broiled). the presentation on the crab cake platter left something to be desired, as it was just 2 crab cakes on a plate with a potato wrapped in foil. not super appetizing or pretty, but still tasty. the crab cake sandwich was good, and the fries were plentiful, crispy and delicious. the bottled beer list was surprisingly good. and i got the«tropical breezer» cocktail … dangerously delicious. all in all, a good mom & pop restaurant. our bill came to about $ 50, which really isn’t bad considering we both got drinks and a full meal.

Boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner tonight after combining our cell phone plans at the Verizon store(yay our first bill together!) I’ve only been to East Bay one other time for dinner. Every other visit was for their happy hour, which is, by all accounts, awesome. After entering, we paused at the hostess’ podium and waited to be seated… no hostess. 5 minutes later, still no hostess. Boyfriend and I seated ourselves, as I was very hungry and he has a temper. About 5 minutes after that, a server appeared and asked if we had seated ourselves. When we said we had, she apologized for her absence. She took our drink orders and brought some menus. The last time I came to East Bay, they had alligator bites on the menu. I was sad to see they had since been removed, but thrilled that they had been replaced with escargot(!) Boyfriend and I decided on the calamari appetizer. He had the crabcake sandwich and I chose the tuna sashimi. Our server brought out a warm loaf of bread with butter packets and a dipping oil that consisted of olive oil, vinegar, onion, cilantro, and maybe some lime. It was delicious! I don’t eat bread, but this mixture was so delectable, I happily dunked my delightfully tasty calamari rings into it. The calamari was perfectly lightly fried and fresh. The sauce it was served with was good, but I preferred the oil for dipping! I did think the portion was a little small for almost $ 9. It was very good though. Soon after, our entrees arrived. Though I had ordered the appetizer portion of the sashimi, I was very pleased with the amount of tuna on my plate, placed over top of a seaweed salad. The tuna quality could have been better, and fresher. It seemed dry and the chef’s attempt to mask said dryness resulted in a sickeningly sweet combination of soy sauce and something else I wasn’t fond of. Soy sauce and scallions would have been just fine. The wasabi served with my dish was a strange color and was clearly not fresh; I couldn’t even scoop a piece up without it breaking apart. Disclaimer though: this is my fault for ordering sashimi tuna at a place that specializes in crabs. I’ll learn. Boyfriend’s crabcake sandwich, on the other hand, was superb. The crabcake itself was big, fresh, and tasty. Definitely had not been frozen and had barely any filler. It was sautéed as well as opposed to fried, which really brought out the tastiness. Very nice! Our server always seemed in a hurry, basically throwing things at us as she scurried away, even though the place was dead. The bill came to $ 35 for one appetizer and two dinners, which isn’t bad by any means, but if we come here again I definitely will not order anything but crabs. Food is decent, but service is definitely lacking at East Bay. I wish I could give them 2 and a half stars, but considering that boyfriend’s dinner was considerably better than mine, and their happy hour is fantastic, I have to give them 3.

The vision: comfortable picnic table seating, cold beer in hand, crabs by the buckets, with my bib on ready to tear into them — all while staring out into the crashing waves of the ocean. THIS was my July 4th weekend vision. I did not think it would be that hard to find within an hour or so driving distance in one of the many jersey shore towns. But in fact, even after repeatedly typing in «all you can eat crabs + south jersey beach» into google, there were only a handful of results. The ones that we did find that sounded promising did not have all you can eat available. We finally came across this place, that was advertised on their website as being«minutes from Atlantic City».(Not that this was our first shore town of choice, but it was SOMEthing as we needed to hit the road already). After taking us an hour and a half longer to get there from philly with traffic, we had high hopes for the place since reviews were positive. But it was not in fact just MINUTES from the beach, and there was no ocean view near by to be found since it was part of a strip mall! We were irked at ourselves for not researching this more closely — but of course the important thing was the quality of the crabs and that wouldve made our drive still worth it. So the crabs were decent, the mugs of beer sufficed. All you can eat for $ 25 a person with sides of bread, salad, corn on the cob, and a choice of waffle fries or rice pilaf. The service was mediocre with the wait time btwn bucket refills of crabs being a little longer than hoped. All in all, not worth the drive from philly. Next time, nothing but word of mouth in finding a crab shack worth the journey for!
