Meet the Business Owner
Kim J.
Business Owner
Kim Jensen – dancer, artist, restauranteur. At an early age Kim was introduced to the world of baking when her father made her first pretend oven at the age of 5. Three years later, she received her first Easy Bake oven and the baking hasn’t stopped.
Throughout Kim’s life baking and cooking have been her fondest memories. Kim’s mom, Mary Jo, always had beautiful place settings with delicious food and desserts while her dad entertained the guests and kept their whistles wet. The best part was listening to the guests laughing and conversing as Kim and her siblings faded off to dreamland.
After deciding she was too busty to dance on Broadway, Kim decided to shtick to restauranteuring. Kim’s extensive work for International Dairy Queen and Papa John’s Corporate led her to Fat Lorenzo’s of Minneapolis.
Deciding to move to Door County, Kim and Mary Jo decided to buy Village Café in 2000 and added Mojo Rosa’s in 2007.
