So now she has a horrible fungal infection on the nail that the cuticle receeded on. We have been to the doctors and it is getting worse. It started the day after the nails. cuticle started shriveling, then skin started getting shiny and wrinkly like thin paper, then the nail started to misshape, then it started denting and it looks like it is traveling up her finger. Beware. It was their tools. I did not see them come out of a clean container, as a matter of fact the tupperware said ‘dirty’. I asked her about it and she didnt know what I was saying due to language barrier.

Terrible job on acrylics, cracking on day 2, every nail lifting by day 3. Idk if it’s the product they use, or the lack of knowledge on application, but I won’t be getting acrylics here every again!

Went here yesterday because I was on that side of town getting my windows tinted and I had a free hour so I figured why not try it out. I only needed a fill and some gel, how can they mess that up?! Well they sure did!!! I showed her a picture that I got from THEIR Unilocal account and she said she could do it (all pink and a heart and stripes on my index finger) the fill was good but when she painted the nails I asked for gel and she did regular nail polish with a gel top coat (my nail girl from back home never does that, she does all gel coats). She couldn’t even do a heart so she apologized and just did stripes. So If you can’t do a heart… why is there a picture of «YOUR» work on your page? I was over it by then and just wanted to get out… An hour and a half later I finally got out. Well my nails only lasted a few hours because the nail Polish started to chip and come right off. I don’t even know if it’s worth driving all the way back to complain to them …

Went there on a Saturday afternoon and didnt have to wait and they did a greay job. It is a small place and wouldn’t have ever known about it if it wasn’t for Unilocal.The ladies were very nice as well. I also got my eyebrows done and they didn’t turn as red as they normally do after. The price was reasonable as well.

Unprofessional! Negative Stars! I asked for highlights, and they only did half of my head and charged me a whole amount. The color was a nasty orange tint and they did no coloring on it. The highlights were not done professionally and it did not go in the direction that my hair was styled. The highlights were literally done in random places of my hair. I was upset and I went back and asked for a refund for at least half, and she refused. She said she did her job, and said I had too much hair so only half the hair was done! This was the worst experience ever! DO NOT GO HERE!
I had to get my hair fixed somewhere else, I was charged much cheaper there and the lady did a beautiful job. Don’t waste your money coming here as I did.

This is a great place to get a haircut! I’m pretty particular about my haircuts too. A friend recommended them a year ago and I’ve been a customer ever since. They are very affordable, and always friendly, fast, and accurate. You rarely have to wait. A great hair stylist is hard to find. I would drive 20+ miles just to go here. I highly recommend Tammy. Try them out and see for yourself.

My hands-​down favorite nail shop ever. EVER! They are so professional and their salon is always clean and welcoming. They have a fantastic selection of shellac colors (and lots with glitter and sparkles! My fav!) and the staff is amazing at what they do. They really go the extra mile to make sure you feel at home and completely pampered while you are there. Never have I been to a salon with better massages either… like I have been travelling and had to go elsewhere and been annoyed each time that the quality was way less and the price is way more everywhere else I’ve been. Best value in San Diego here, LOVE THEM and totally worth the drive!

I go in every two weeks or so for color or waxing or nails/​manicure/​pedicure. Tammy normally does my hair and nails. Not only do they do a great job, they are nice, friendly and greet me by name. They welcome walk-​ins too. I love this place.

New to the East County, I had not found my ‘go-​to’ nail salon, until now. I received a Living Social gift for a mani/​pedi from my Fiancé for my first visit and I have no doubt I will return to Anna’s Beauty Salon in the future. Making a Sunday appointment was easy. They were welcoming and ready for both my Fiancé and I upon arriving at our appointment time. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Although I am unaware what my Fiancé paid for the Living Social deal, the regular cost listed at the Salon were very reasonable for the services.

I’m in love with the full service that i always received whenever i’m here. It took me a far way from home to here to get a hair cut and i’ve got to said it’s totally worth it! Tam gave me a totally brand new look for my bang& i also got a lot of compliments on my new hair from the family& friends! I would recommend this salon to my friends!

Too bad I can’t give this salon negative stars — it sucked!
My roommate and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice mani/​pedi. Sure enough, Livingsocial came through with an amazing deal. I typically like to Unilocal a place before buying a voucher but the place was brand new so there weren’t any reviews. With that said, we purchased vouchers anyway and called to make appointments.
On the day of our appointment (day before my birthday party), we were soooo excited to get pampered. I drove us all the way to El Cajon expecting to receive a great mani/​pedi. Boy, was I wrong! Our appointment was at 3:30PM. We got there, on time only to discover 2 manicurist and 1 beautician. To our shock, both manicurist had customers. I informed one of them that we had appointments at 3:30 and she just told us to sit. We waited about 10 minutes — mind you, there wasn’t even music playing, just awkward silence. The woman who initially greeted us, got on the phone and called someone. When she got off, she asked us if we could come back in 2 hours. She was only talking to my roommate so I kept having to step in. Long story short, she told us that the person who took our appointment down was «out, busy. doing something.» She told us we could wait for ONE of them but there was TWO of us and we were on a mission to get beautified. Everyone working there moved like a snail so we left and called around for another nail shop. The whole process was just inconvenient.
Thank you to ‘Nails Expression’ for taking us right away and hooking our fingernails and toes up. Shoutout to Livingsocial for giving us credit to use for another business.
Anna’s Beauty Salon — get with the program. If you’re advertised on livingsocial/​groupon, treat your customers with respect because it’s all about word of mouth and Unilocal of course!

Blagh! The nail service is TERRIBLE.
I was there five days ago with my cousin. I got french tip on m nails and my cousin got a pedicure.
It hasn’t even been a week and I already need a fill. I attribute this to the person who did my nails; she didn’t work my cuticles, so that whole area started breaking off two days later. Now that I cut all those cuticles myself it looks like I had my nails done weeks ago and not last weekend.
Another thing I didn’t appreciate is how opinionated both ladies working on my cousin and me were. When she asked my how long I wanted my nails I told her shorter than what she was trying to do, she then told me «…no… i can’t» and when she asked my if i wanted squared or curved edges, she didn’t even let me get a word out and says «no, you young. you get square». WTF. I really didn’t have a reason to disagree with her yet, so I let her do her thing. Then I go home and realized changing my daughters diapers with long, pokey nails is way more complicated than with shorter, curved nails. Which I probably would’ve figured out if she kept her opinions to herself, specially when I didn’t ask for hers.
The lady doing my cousins nails was not any better. My cousin says she liked the whole pedi treatment, but she was just as unhappy with her nails as me. She had designs done on her toes and the ended up looking different; my cousin believes it’s because the lady ran out of nail polish mid one of her toes and didn’t care to redip her brush, so she improvised with one toe. On top of that, when my cousin asked for flowers, the freaking lady says «no flower! why flower? everybody want flower»
Never going there again, and you shouldn’t bother either, there’s plenty of other nail salon’s in El Cajon.

This salon is great! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. As with other loyal
customers, I travel many miles (all the way from Cardiff!) to see Tam, she is very
talented with all types of hair. She knows what I like and cuts my hair beautifully.
My husband and son are also regular customers. The prices are very reasonable
for the quality and service they provide. This place is a gem. I highly recommend it.
