Boardwalk

I love coming here, i always have way more fun then Dave and busters or boomers and I feel like my money goes further too. my only complaint is they don’t have any pinball machines, though they have a great spread of everything else as well as laser tag and two mini rides.

Haven’t been to this place in over a year, they did some remodeling I guess, more like moved some things around… A lot of the games had out of order signs posted on them and the lazer tag equipment is very faulty… My recommendation is to keep driving by and go to boomers…

I took my 2 year old daughter there a few weeks ago. First, the place was filthy – that old greasy feeling that gets on any kids stuff that is not cleaned. Carpets gross. Jungle Gym gross. We put tokens into 2 separate little rides and both did not work. The carousel looked like I could lift it up it was so small, but didn’t matter, as there was no staff around to operate it.
There was a homeless man walking around inside the place. (Not exaggerating in the least). He had a big bag of empty cans, was disheveled, and was looking in all the coin return slots (obviously not hip to the fact that they use tokens). This is a place where kids are supposed to be able to play in a safe environment. Nobody asked him to leave. There was no staff at all visible, not even at the registers. It’s like the place was on crappy autopilot.
Never again will I set foot in there or recommend it.

Ok, I now dislike this place because: rude employees, other people dislike the boardwalk. So stay away from this place. Instead lets just go to boomers.

This is to address the incredibly rude manager Gina employed at this establishment. I am not sure how you are able to maintain a job with your attitude and lack of customer service skills. The service here is unbelievable. Considering this is a children’s place, I am unclear as to why on earth you would have applied to such a business if you execute no regard for the customers that keep you employed. There is a new game at the establishment called the black hole. My nephew was playing this new game, which costs 2 tokens per game to play, coincidentally in front of Ms. Gina as she was strolling by. Upon depositing the 2 tokens, the game ate the second token. My nephew then presumed to ask Ms. Gina for assistance since this is what she is getting paid for, to which Ms. Gina aggressively replied «that is a new game, that cannot happen, it is a new game». Please note, she stated this prior to physically opening the token door, thus implying that he, a paying customer was lying. Following the incident, my nephew came back, almost in tears that this woman had blatantly accused him of lying, when all he wanted was to play the game. Upon further personal investigation, we requested to speak with the manager. When she arrived, she also brought along her staff of minions as an intimidation tactic… Did she need backup? Why were half of the employees in the establishment accompanying Ms. Gina in her debut? I was confused. We asked her what happened. Her response was defensive, she stated as part of her job, she makes decisions at her discretion and has no obligation whatsoever to refund lost tokens. My next question was «Why? When you saw what happened? Why wouldn’t you refund his token that was eaten? Why don’t you watch the surveillance, (which we assumed were on the premises)». Ms. Gina responded «We do not have cameras in every location of the building, and I do not have to refund you any token because I do not need to. It is my choice. I am the manager. I make the decision.» I was floored to have been treated in such a manner. I felt totally discriminated against for no reason other than this establishment is filled with people who clearly despise their jobs. The best advice I can offer the employees is do what you love, and love what you do. And to Ms. Gina, instead of passive-​aggressively accusing children of lying, maybe you should take a step down from your power trip, and realize you are talking to children, not someone of your own age and should learn to exercise a bit of censorship and and self control when dealing with kids. And on a positive note Olivia was a sweetheart and delivered excellent customer service :)

Had a birthday party for my son, the room was all to our selfs. Party rooms ave very specious, especially if you have a big party. We had 1hr ½ to eat, have cake, and open presents. As long as my baby had a great time and everyone was happy I’m good.

This place is horrible don’t come here came here Saturday the place was dead maybe 20 people tops. Half the games are out of order and the other half don’t work right. This place used to be good but it’s just going down. Service is ok not as much fun though
Try boomers down the street

Okay, so i did not know this place excited until my sister took me here for my nephew’s promotion. It was the most fun place around for miles! I strongly recommend this place, 10 000 times better than chuck e cheese! Way bigger too, take advantage of their Monday & Tuesday specials. I will go back for years to come :)

Pretty awesome place! Went there for a birthday party and the kids had a blast. The entrance doesn’t have anyone watching it like chuck e cheese so I watch my kids like a hawk when they are playing because of all the twists and turns (makes it easy to loose a child). It gets crowded on weekends but the rides are awesome and the service was excellent! I would go here again.

Bought a wristband for 7 kids at $ 7.75 each for the rides. It’s noon on Wednesday of Spring Break and for the rides they have 1 ride operator for the 4 rides included with the wristband.

I took my kids there on Saturday night. It was OK. the problem was that a lot of the machine were not working. Eating tokens and not playing. We spent most of the night waiting for someone to help us, or give us our tokens back. It was run down and there were kids jumping on the machines and no one really stopping them. I probably won’t take my kids here again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the boardwalk has cleaned up its act. It’s fantastic for toddlers (2 – 5) the great prices for games is so good. I take my kids here and they absolutely wear themselves out on the jungle gym when they need to expel some energy before bed. Try it out and you won’t regret it

Love this place 10,000 times more than Chuck-​e-​Cheese and it’s not as crowded. Super helpful workers, real indoor rides, and fun games!

We came to visit on Sunday and it was alright. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, tons of games were broken. They were not shut down with signs saying «out of order». Majority of them looked like they were running. The ball machines are missing balls. Coins get stuck in the machine. We do not plan on visiting again. There is a short cut to the bowling alley and that is where we spent the rest of the day.

If you’re an adult and complaining about the outdated games or maintenance needs for the machines, you should probably re-​evaluate your life.
My kids love The Boardwalk just as I did when I was a kid.
Old games? Try nostalgic. Some of the oldest games in there are always taken and still bring in a ton of revenue for the place. They have a lot of new games as well.
Expensive? When you played games that were a nickle or a quarter, gas was probably just over $ 1 a gallon.
This place is always just what I expect. It’s a place for my kids to play some games and ride some rides. It’s a place for young people to work and earn a paycheck and learn how to be employed. It’s a classic indoor amusement park.
If anything, the security could be a little tighter or more present. I wish they would bring back miniature golf also. Management seems like a salty bunch sometimes as well. But it’s not much of a surprise since they have to deal with dozens of kids running around, and adults complaining about video games.

They had fun
The good parts — there is a lot to do, lots of games, lots of rides for them to play on. It’s big, I enjoyed the fact that the girls were allowed to kinda have free range of where they wanted to to. The downfall? You have to pay tokens to play on a big jungle gym (first time I’ve ever seen that) the ride operators were like robots. They weren’t very friendly and they kinda just acted bothered that you had to ask them to operate the rides even though that’s what the signs says. The pizza we got wasn’t very fresh and sticky floors. They had a lot of people who were cussing a lot kinda unkempt. But all in all for $ 20.00 they got to play for 2 hours and I got some free time so it was a nice break

This place is ok, I’m not a big fan of it but the kids seem to like it cuz of the roller coasters & little rides that they got that are more for like 6 to 10 year old kid rides not for kids 5 or younger. The laser tag was a hit for them too. A lot of the arcade games were «out of order» tho & they don’t got much for kids under 5 to do. And they had a couple homeless guys walking in & out just looking around which was kind of odd. And when we first got there there was already a cop there trying to keep the peace between 2 parents at a party (a hint that it was kind of gettho). The staff was friendly tho & the place was pretty chill, pizza was avg. Again I wasn’t a big fan of it but the kids seem to really like it & that’s all that matters. I’m all bout Chucky Cheese.

It’s the east county version of John’s Incredible Pizza or a really scaled down Dave & Busters for toddlers, minus a full bar and good food. Their activities are geared towards smaller kids. Bigger kids might tolerate the arcade, but not if the game controls are broken or cost $ 1 per play. There’s a cute little carousel, but it pales in comparison to the double decker ride at the mall nearby.
Food was cafeteria fabulous and ranks right there with previously frozen, amusement park fare. I didn’t get a case of the bubble guts, so I consider that a victory for my aging iron stomach.
We attended a kiddie bday party, which seems to be a popular weekend option. I only say this because I happened to notice a clipboard with the appointments schedule for the party rooms and all the hour time slots that were booked up.
The available space at Boardwalk is decent and much larger than I expected, and they have quite a number of attractions to amuse the kiddies. They also have more than one party room to host events. There are rides, a bounce house, mostly obsolete arcade games, and random redemption games.
The only machine that got my attention was a newish looking, brightly lit Pac-​man hybrid arcade game that also gave out prize tickets based on your final score. The $ 1 price per game is ridiculously steep and quickly crushes its replay value. I really get nostalgic with rebooted versions of Pac-​man, so I did play twice.
We played frustrating games that ate tokens, had wonky controls, or didn’t distribute tickets. It wasn’t worth the effort to track down an attendant. We even tried to play a simple crane game to win small pieces of candy for Mini-​me. Three tries for one token (25¢). We struck out because the claw barely opened to grab onto any piece of candy. I’ve seen other places that do play-​until-​you-​win anything since the candy prize is worth pennies and no kid should leave empty handed.
The Boardwalk employees are very helpful and friendly. The guy working the bday party was efficient, but seemed to rush things along since another party was booked in the same room later that day. The gals working the prize redemption area were nice and amazingly patient since Mini-​me wasn’t sure what to get and we must have went back and forth looking through the shelves and display cases several times.
Unless we get invited to another Boardwalk kiddie bday, I’m pretty sure this is a one and done visit for me. It’s not an awful place, but some old attractions have lost their luster, especially with alternative party options like Boomers! or Urban Jungle Fun Park.

I brought my grandson here and he had a lot of fun. One of the people attending the rides, Rebekah was really helpful. She was especially nice and knowledgeable. Treated all the children with care.

Place was not crowded. Games are outdated and overpriced. Older games, and I mean vintage, were 2 tokens ($ 0.50) and newer games, last decade, were 4 tokens ($ 1.00). If your children are under 10, they will not care and have fun. That is why I am giving a two-​star instead of a one.
Food was poor quality. Pizza prices were as high as gourmet pizza parlors, yet quality was less than frozen. Toppings were singed and unappealing. We had two pizzas for 10 adults and 2 kids. We ended up with ½ a pizza left over! I noticed none of the other parties were finishing their pizzas either. Unfortunately, they no longer have the weekend buffet, which would have at least offered some other fare to eat.
If you plan on having a party here, make sure it is for kids 10 and under, bring your own cake, and eat before you arrive.
