Budget Tire Company of El Cajon

I called these guys on Sunday and they were not only open but were willing to install used tires my son had purchased from a friend. They were fast affordable and easy to deal with. 20 minutes in and out.

Quick, Quick, Super fast service. Great service and fabulous prices. What more can I say. All I needed was a patch on one tire that everyone (name branded tire co.) Wouldn’t touch. I pulled in and had no problems, my tire is now patched and I am a happy forever customer :)

Every single used tire there is worthless! I paid 35 for one tire, it went flat in less then a month, he gave me another used tire for 30… wow a whole 5 dollars off for selling me a bad tire. Then I paid 140 for two truck tires, one had to be replaced and the other had a bad patch, plus he never mentioned the patch to me… Both replaced in less then 3 months!
Go to discount tires I paid 100 for new tires… versus 70 for worthless used tires!
Do not buy his used tires, he has more then he can rotate through and they aren’t good used tires.

I own a small business and know that one’s reputation is everything. I called Budget Tire to find out it they had a used tire size that’s not easy to find in reasonably good condition. There was obviously some confusion over the phone about about the size tire I needed because when I arrived he had the wrong size in mind. We went over to the area where he had my tire size and we found the tire that was the best of the bunch. Usually when something like this happens unscrupulous business owners will use it as an opportunity to raise the price but Guillermo gave me the same price he quoted me over the phone. These guys are smart, friendly, fast and professional. I paid ¹⁄₃ the cost of a new tire with the same heavy duty rating. Love these guys…

Place in El Cajon may not look like much, but service is great. I’d rather get great service and pricing than pay extra for a fancy shop providing the same or lesser service for more $$$.

This company is great, being a woman I worry sometimes about being taken advantage of, I called received and estimate for 2 used tires, went down there and they went to look for them and that worried me, that they had to go check after telling me they had those tires, they came back to the front and one tire had more tread and they tried to charge me more money for it, I spoke with the manager and he was AWESOME! he honored the original price and the customer service was great thank you for being honest and a company that I will def. use again!

These guys are great. They offer decent used tires at great prices. Been here twice for my mothers car and will be going back again for my truck.

My tires were about done, plus I had a flat, so I called to get a price on a good used set of tires for a Plymouth Voyager mini-​van. I was told over the phone that they had a matching pair in my size, but not all four, so I settled for that and headed out to El Cajon. The price quoted was 35 – 40 dollars per tire. The manager showed me the matching pair of Kumhos and I agreed to them being installed on the front of the car at $ 40 a piece.
A young kid set about jacking up the car with 3 different jacks, in one of the 3 parking spaces out front, and removed the wheels. The good right front was reinstalled on the rear and the remaining two rims disappeared in back to have the new tires installed.
While waiting and because I suspected as much, I checked under the car and to my dismay, I saw that both jacks in front had caused damage to the underside of my van… crushing the seams of the bodywork on each side. I had the manager take a look and he told me he’d talk to the installer and walked off. He showed absolutely no concern and made no apology.
The first rim was installed on the drivers side and a few minutes later the manager appeared again to inform me that the second one had a defect, but he had a non-​matching tire he could use instead. I was kind of stuck by now, so reluctantly agreed. The rim was installed on the passengers side.
The installer made no mention of the damage he had caused and walked off. I went in to pay the manager and again no mention of the damage and no apology. He asked for $ 80 and I paid him. No discount for the non-​matching tires or even an apology for the damage to my van.
I take things like this as a lesson learned… I won’t be coming here again and I’ll advise anyone I know not to come here either. I know how I would have handled me if I were the manager to make things right, but he showed not the slightest interest.
