Appointment was at 10 I am writing this at 11:30 there is not enough seats in waiting room or people working to carry the load

Had to get a tetanus shot last Sunday. Waited more than I would like to wait although got the job done.
Doctor was cool and so was the nurse.
Thanks for making the wait time better.
Prices were very good.

This is an excellent urgent care. My insurance doesn’t offer coverage through here but my alternative was an urgent care that is awful, rude, and has 3 – 4 hour wait times.
I got to this urgent care at 12:20 and was out the door with my prescriptions in hand by 1:05. The nurses and doctor were compassionate and helpful, and the doctor actually took the time to listen to me and ask my thought on what typically works for me treatment-​wise.
Additionally, even though my insurance doesn’t cover this urgent care, the urgent care gave me 20% off for having insurance.
This urgent care was worth every penny of my out-​of-​pocket payment and I highly recommend it to others. I’m going to try to switch my HMO network to one that covers this center, but the next time I get sick I will be returning here regardless.

After we suspected that my mother broke her wrist I went hunting down better options than going to the E.R. This place had good reviews, their pricing seemed on par, and the person who answered the phone was very pleasant, so we gave it a try.
& I have recommended it to three people in the few days since we were there in case they ever need it! WAY better than any urgent care I’ve ever been too (including Scripps.) The staff was very friendly, kind and considerate. The doctor was thorough, gentle, and even entertaining. Everything was SO quick. I think registration, seeing the doctor, getting an x-​ray, planning follow up care, and checking out was all under 45 minutes — for sure less than an hour. For those without insurance the pricing was very reasonable, and they bill insurance if you have it. The office was also very neat and clean, and there seemed to be plenty of parking.
We were very impressed and will for sure go here again if the need ever arises.

I was dealing with an extremely sore throat, until the pain became unmanageable. With the weather going from sunny and scorching hot to raining and 80 degrees, it’s no surprise that I was unsuccessful in getting an appointment with my primary doctor on such short notice.
This facility allows you to make appointments online; super convenient and rare with any urgent care locations in San Diego. I learned about this after my first visit! MOST IMPORTANTLY, taking the 5 minutes to set up an appointment makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE! ! The waiting room was close to full… my appointment was made for noon and I was seen at 12:15.
The three different experiences I had at East County Urgent care were extremely pleasant (as much as urgent care can be). I do not remember the nurse practitioner’s name I was treated by, however it was a young Asian woman. She was very gentle, thorough and caring. The last visit, I had a nurse practitioner named Jessika. Also very thorough, friendly and knowledgeable!
Very awesome job with the staff, and have not seen a bad attitude! They also call back within a few days for a check in/​follow up!

Talk about somewhere I would never expect to leave a review especially 5 stars. Parents will appreciate this story that starts with my 6 year old putting pieces of foam from a stress ball in his ears… Ironic right? He does it at school during regular hours so I call my pediatrician who tells me they would rather I take him to urgent care or er just in case since they will be better equipped. This news of course annoys me because I know either of those will require a lengthy wait around actual sick people and I don’t want to deal with it. I looked on my insurance website saw this place and gave a call to ask about the wait. They said 20 – 30 minutes which I can totally deal with so we went. We did end up waiting only about 20 minutes and everyone involved with my little guy was very nice and patient. I was nervous it would hurt him but they were gentle and fun and quick. We were there prob 30 minutes for the entire visit. I was pleasantly surprised at how it all worked out and will definitely go back if we have another freak thing that doesn’t allow for us to go to our regular doctors.

Had to wait quite a while because it apparently got busy while I was in my room, but all involved apologized for the wait and everyone was very nice. Chris the xray tech (I hope that’s her correct title) was great, and even brought me 2 slices of pizza since I hadn’t eaten yet that day. She deserves a raise!

I came here with strept throat 2 weeks ago and was expecting a long wait, high prices, and a doctor that just wisped me in out. However, the care I received far exceeded my expectations. My entire visit only took about 30 minutes and the doctor really cared and got me some medication asap. All in all I say this is the best urgent care I have been to.

Friendly, efficient staff. Speedy treatment. In and out but I never felt rushed. They are quick and caring. I felt very comfortable here. The Doctor was super. Thank you for taking good care of me and getting me on the road to recovery with the meds I needed. Goodbye Bronchitis!

I was obviously a long way from home when I came here. My boyfriend and I were visiting family in El Cajon and had big plans to go to the SD Zoo… when I woke up this past Saturday (3÷14÷15), it was clear that I wasn’t going anywhere. I originally got sick almost 3 weeks ago, was diagnosed with strep at an L.A.-area urgent care and given antibiotics, went home to see very little progress. Returned to a doctor to be told I probably had a random virus, was given a steroid shot, and went home to see some slightly better progress, but definitely not healthy typical me. By Saturday, I knew my initial gut feeling was right and that something was going on. Thank God the amazing nursing staff and Dr. Wolfe listened – finally, someone who really heard me when I stated that I know my body and my immune system and something was off, and all I wanted after these long weeks was a solution.
Both the nurse and doctor were thorough in their evaluation, their bedside manner was remarkably friendly, yet professional all the while, and I knew that they really were concerned with getting my health back on track. I got chest X-​Rays and was diagnosed with bronchitis that had been missed when previous doctors thought one diagnosis could suffice and accounted for my myriad symptoms. I was put on a proper course of treatment, and by the next day I was already 80% back to normal, progress I hadn’t seen with the antibiotics, steroid, and cough medicine given to me before (by other doctors, remember).
It’s Monday night and I’m set to finish my course of antibiotics on Wednesday and I’m taking a cough medicine that finally quiets me and soothes my throat without knocking me out on my ass. Someone finally listened to what I had to say about my own body and found an answer we trust doctors to find. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I wish this urgent care and staff were about 100 miles south and closer to home for me because I would never again question where to go when I’m sick. So grateful for the friendly, professional, and, most importantly, effective team at East County Urgent Care. Should I ever get sick or stay sick while visiting my sister, I’ll confidently go back to see Dr. Wolfe.

They’re not respectful. The woman I talked to hang up the phone while I was talking. And they never called me back to apologize. I’ll never go there nor recommend this place to anyone.

I received an email and a voicemail this morning from the clinic. I went in and spoke with Jeff, who was very nice and apologetic. They refunded my cost for the first test, and were EXTREMELY nice. Their concern was that I felt okay about things. The fact they even acknowledged my upset speaks volumes. Mistakes happen and they acknowledged that. I would recommend.

I’ve been coming to this clinic for quite the number of years. They never mess up with billing my insurance correctly the first time, which is really nice. The wait is never too long, I’ve showed up with tons of people in the lobby before and never had to wait past 30 minutes. The doctors are all very friendly here, they are very knowledgeable. Its too bad Dr. Cohen is gone now, I use to come here to see him, he was a damn good urgent care doctor.

I needed treatment on a Saturday. I made an appointment online. I arrived for my appointment and I was seen by the doctor within 5 minutes. The exam was thorough and professional. I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and given a prescription of antibiotics. After completing the prescribed medicine my symptoms were gone. They accepted my insurance. This was a very positive experience and I would return here again without hesitation.

Moved to San Diego less than a year ago. Needed urgent care for my daughter. I can honestly say the Nurse Practitioner Jessica is truly amazing and always treats my family with the best bedside manner and shows genuine concern. If she has any doubt in her diagnosis she will consult with the M.D. on staff, she will do what is best for you. In addition she takes the time to get to know you and remembers you and your family. I definitely recommend her and the staff to anyone in need of medical attention with a personal touch. Jessica sorry for almost crushing your hand.

I went in after a rock climbing fall expecting to sit in a waiting room for hours. Instead, I was seen by the Rx, X-​rayed, and diagnosed in all of 45 mins. The staff I dealt with were all professional and actually concerned about my condition. Brenda was the name of the woman at the window and did a great job getting me in and out quickly. Dr. Reder did me right, This will be my choice for medical care as a cash patient, since my «Affordable Health Care» bill for the first month was over $ 1700 for my wife and I…

I should ve read the reviews before taking my daughter there… very unprofessional staff, super unfriendly.
After the doctor saw my daughter he treated her for strap throat even tho the test was negative… gave her antibiotics and said that within 3 days she should feel better… well 5 days later she s still running a high fever… I called them to ask maybe the meds were not working for her they told me that a nurse will call me within an hour… I NEVER heard back from them…
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone… Go elsewhere NOT WORTH IT.
