We also carry a wide array of contacts including colors and multifocal contacts. We are located in between Target and Albertson’s, so just stop in next time you are in the area. History

Established in 2010.

Though new to our great location between Target and Albertson, we have served the area for over thirty years! We are Rancho’s only luxury optical.

Meet the Manager

Michelle K.

Manager

Dr. King received her B.S. in Biology from the University of California, San Diego, followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Prior to joining the team at Otay Ranch Eyeworks, she completed training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson, and the SDA Optometry Clinic in Tamuning, Guam. Through these associations she has developed an interest in pediatrics, contact lens fitting, ocular disease management, and low vision consultation. She is certified in therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and the treatment of glaucoma. Compassionate and qualified, she welcomes patients of all ages and looks forward to providing you with excellent vision care.

This was probably my best eye appointment visit ever. All the staffs were genuinely nice and extremely helpful. They answered the abundance of questions I had without making me feel like I’m a burden. Dr. Desai explained everything the very best she could to Christine helping me find the right eye glasses. They were great.

Came in for an eye exam. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They have a wide selection of frames from various designers. Although they did not have the ones I was looking for, they were more than willing to send me my prescription so I could find the style I wanted.

I chose to come to Eye Styles because it was in my insurance network and close to home. I am so glad that I came here. I had a great experience. I made my appointment online and when I arrived, there was no wait. The exam was quick and painless. I spent the most time choosing my frames and the girl who helped me was super patient and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Eye Styles to my friends and family!

I have to give a 3 stars because I am a little frustrated. The staff is very nice and helpful, but my glasses are a lemon. I have brought my glass in numerous times to be fixed (they keep getting loose) and they even sent them out to be fixed. They are still messing up. I’m going in today and will be requesting new frames. Will see what happens. To be continued..

Came in for an eye exam that I made online the night before and was in and out within 35 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The exam was affordable, even for contacts, and they were willing to work with most insurances, though I paid out of pocket for mine. I browsed some frames while I waited and they have a large variety, though most are in the upper price range. Great place!

I’ve been to them three times now for three different reasons and each time was good. This last time though I came down with an eye infection and they got me in right away, even though the doctor was a little late she was wonderful. She was quick and had a solution immediately. I brought my one year old twins and they were so nice about it. They worked really hard to help me figure out a way to temporarily fix my glasses so I could wear them. I was very happy with my experience and would recommend them to anyone!

I made my appointment during my lunch time and everyone was very courteous and helpful. The Dr. was very thorough and I made it back on time to the office. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the frames of my liking and I went to the location in Otay Ranch. Thank you ladies at Eye Styles :)

I had my appointment yesterday and it went great. I initially chose this location because they accept my insurance and, to be honest, the military discount sounded nice, too. The staff greeted me immediately and was very friendly. They were very kind and patient with me during my check-​in process, and were very helpful helping me choose a new pair of glasses. I can’t remember the young lady’s name, but I told her what I was looking for in a pair of frames and she was EXCELLENT in gathering frames that had the characteristics I was looking for. The doctor was amazing (sorry, I’m bad at remembering names!). She was thorough and informative, not to mention super nice. I can’t wait to get my new glasses [in two weeks]! My experience here was so positive that I just had to leave a review :) I definitely recommend choosing Eye Styles for your next optometrist visit!

The girls in the front are friendly and very helpful. They have a lot to choose from but I came in because I needed to see the Dr. She was really nice and answered all my questions. Thank you eye styles! I really liked that they were open on Saturdays too.

I cannot stress enough how amazing Eye Styles is! Such a large selection of brand name glasses and sun glasses at affordable prices. Not to mention the lovely staff that is more than willing to help the customers decide on a pair and help communicate with the doctor. I was treated so kindly while in here and left satisfied with a new pair of Polarized Chanel Sunglasses! If you are looking for great customer care with style, you must visit this location!

I went to Eyestyles and they were completely great. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is well detailed. They have nice sunglasses, for a fair price. They fixes all my sun glasses and did an amazing job. I really reccomend this place if you need your glasses or sun glasses fixed!

Chanel, Dior, Tiffany’s…oh my!
Besides feeling like I had a glimpse of Sunglasses Heaven when I first walked in, I was a bit apprehensive to getting an eye exam. I haven’t gotten one since I was kid, and after sitting in front of a computer for so many years, my eyes are really starting to see their age (pun intended).
Christine immediately greeted me when I walked in and helped me from that point on. She was really informative and helped me the whole way through, even answering my nonsensical questions about eyes and what type of glasses/​contacts I’ll be expected to wear. After seeing the doctor, who was very kind and really eased my anxiety, I ordered my prescription and went out to pick my frames… which, I must say, was quite a selection. I picked a reasonably priced Tory Burch one, although my eyes did wander to the sunglasses. I mean, how could they not? This is San Diego, after all.
Anyways, Christine transitioned so wonderfully from advising me on my prescriptive glasses to helping me pick out a new pair of Ray-​Bans. There was also another worker named Marleen who really made me feel comfortable about my choices and was truthful about which ones she thought would work best with my face structure.
Overall, I purchased a pair of sunglasses, lenses and my prescription (obviously) for a really, REALLY good price (if I say so myself). I must admit my eye exam anxiety really vanished by the end of it, and I’m so relieved I found an eye doctor office so close to home with such helpful associates.
My eyes left Eye Styles in style. Corny-​ah? Get it? Cornea? Yeah… I’ll stop.

My first impression was really good. I was so excited to finally get a good pair of eye glasses and to have them be stylish too! While I was at it I purchased some Ray Ban sunglasses too. Needless to say I spent a good amount of $$ there. Christine was very helpful.
The eye glasses became very loose after wearing them for a few weeks, I took them in and they tightened them. A week later they became loose again, so I took them in hoping I could replace them with a different brand.
The girl working the counter (not Christine) immediately said «what did you do to them» I was instantly upset. I wear them to read only, and they go right back in their case afterward. She had no concern for me, no suggestions, and made absolutely NO effort to help me. She said she would email the owner, but I see this going no where based on her attitude. They obviously have no procedure in place if a customer is unhappy with their product. BUYERS BEWARE!

A friend recommended me to this place when my eye doctor retired. Walking into the place you notice how clean it is kept. Second thing I noticed is how great their selection is of glasses. The staff is so friendly. Christine helped me out up front and she was so kind. Dr Thompson was super sweet and made it an easy visit. Thank you to all the staff here. This place is AMAZING! ALL the staff are VERY friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. All the exam equipment is of the latest technology, which cuts down the exam time to approximately 15 minutes, yet still very thorough. The décor is even posh and modernized; a VERY clean, sterile, and stylish presentation.
Although the previously mentioned qualities are great, my faves about this place is: 1) Their eye-​wear selection is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL (Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Juicy Couture, True Religion, etc), and 2) they have their own in-​house laboratory — I received my glasses the next day!!! Unbelievable — I’m a customer for life! =)
