Amazing service! I never write a review right after an experience but this one tops any of my experiences at a grocery store. Jamal/jimmy the manager was amazing! He gave free samples to my whole community health Nursing student group and welcomed us like family. Amazing amazing and delicious fresh falafel(the best I’ve ever had). You will not be disappointed.

I found out about this market from Omar S. We came out here for a pip of a UYE that included a couple hours of food tasting. I wisely wore some stretchy pants, knowing all about the generous Arab hospitality. I got some cravings one day for some of their delectable pistachio baklava and Walter and I headed over. I love the way the market is setup. You walk in and can see pretty much the whole layout of the store. I like that the produce is centrally located, rather than off to the side like in most markets. I also like that they have some items outside as well. Naturally I enjoy the already made items like the salads and cooked meats shaved off the spit fresh to order, so good. And that bread, oh yeah, the bread. It’s baked fresh all day. You can watch them making it. There’s a reason people line up for it on the weekends! Everything I’ve tried here is good. Somethings were great. I mean I’d been craving that baklava. It’s really worth the drive. They make assorted varieties. I can’t just pick one, ya know? I gotta get the assortment. It’s $ 8.99 a pound. It’s handmade. I’m not lying because I got to watch it being made. It’s so pretty too. You’d think little old sweet ladies made it. Nope. A big muscular dude makes it, haha. Don’t let it deter you, it’s delicious! Get over there and pick some up!

Horrible place, the employees smoke cigarets and they came back and did not wash their hands! I saw it in my own eyes! Definitely don’t recommend this place!

I like this store but the tanory bread section is not organized. Today I went here the guy told me to wait 10 minutes for 2 breads. I got my breads after over 20 minutes. Some guys just jump in and get there breads. I asked them«I am first» every time they replied«they ordered first. Why would they order and leave. They should make them Waite otherwise who knows if they really ordered.

One of my favorite Middle Eastern Market. I love their Arabic bread. Their Kabob is very delicious too. Good customer services. Privet parking available.

I’m going to take off a star for now. They have reorganized the store and while it is a bit nicer and easier to get around I think the selection of produce has gone downhill and they don’t have the really amazing low-price specials they used to. Further, the had really low prices on fresh-sliced deli meats but the last time I had some the pastrami was some kind of fake turkey stuff that was rubbery and tasted very bad. I tossed it out. Now that they moved everything around in the deli cases, there isn’t even signage for the deli meats anymore. Still great low prices on cheese, if that’s your thing.

Produce pricing is very good. Just have to watch the pricing when you check out, every time i check out I’m charged the wrong price.

I liked this place when it was North Park Produce. They have the best dolmas and still do! My only gripe so far relates to their eggplant stew. When it was North Park Produce, I loved their eggplant stew. Now that it is Harvest, they’ve seemed to change their recipe. It tastes like they put chili powder in it, so it tastes like an eggplant chili. I do like the different food selections that they’ve added on. They now have various eggrolls and breads. Produce is fresh and priced well, and they have a good meat selection.

I live close to this store so is very convenient for me anytime I need to buy something. The store is Mediterranean so if you are Middle Eastern, or like Middle Eastern food this store is a good place to go. The store has a small restaurant inside and they serve very good food. Their product is okay, but recently their Persian cucumbers had been bad and rotten; last time I was there I told one of the staff to make sure they had better Persian cucumbers. Overall the store is good and the food quality is great.

I recently went there for my first time to get food to go. First of all the food was frozen literally. And it does NOT taste good at ALL

I just moved from LA to SD, and I was happy to see a market that was very similar to the Armenian/Middle Eastern markets from LA. I will be going back!

Hookah and Shewarma Heaven in El Cajon! Visited Harvest International Market(formerly, Baghdad Market) on a whim, and was pleasantly suprised to see how clean and neat the store was. Very clean, no smells of funky lamb meat gone bad. Fresh fruits and veggies, A lovely assortment of Arabic teas, cookies, and pastries. A whole corner of the store is set up for hookahs, hookah parts, accessories, and fruit bowls already packed and ready to take home! I picked up a pound of the chicken shewarma which was shaved off just for me, and grabbed some hookah grommets for my hookahs at home. The Shewarma was just right, seasoned, fully cooked, flavorful and juicy. What I was suprised with also was the level of friendliness and helpful workers there. The lady taking my order at the hot food section greeted me right away with a friendly smile and helped me to place my order. Definatley will go back here soon and try the Bulgar, and various rices, shewarmas.
