I hired JC Electric for an EV charger installation in my garage. They came out same day and gave me a quote to run an outlet approximately 40 feet away from my breaker, remove the old circuit breaker, put in a new one, and upgrade the main breaker from 100 to 125 amps. They did a great job, the charger works perfectly, and I am a completely satisfied customer.

I called and needed a full rewire for my panel and new circuit s pulled for added appliances .
They were friendly and very good at explaining all that was needed and why.
I asked for options to keep the cost down and they gave many and explained the pros and cons of each.
Anytime you need A honest electrician give Joe a call he will treat u right, also for the right price .

Had Joe come out to quote on some lighting upgrades and running new wires to my ceiling. Initial quote was pretty cheap and seemed to be upfront. Once the job got started, the cost kept piling up. Hidden costs everywhere and always trying to push for things that he can sell you. By the time the job was done, it was double what the original estimate was. On top of that, Joe insisted that I needed a new electrical panel when my house was only 5 years old with no signs of electrical problems. Response was very inadequate on top of that too.

If you want lack of truthfulness, and incompetence – not to mention wasted time – this is the company for you.
I contacted JC Electric about two fairly straightforward jobs.
1. Upgrade electrical panels (main and sub) at an older home.
2. Install vented exhaust fans in kitchen and bathroom, with ducting through roof.
At first, everything seemed to go well. They send people out, looked at the jobs and gave me bids. But the bid for the vented exhaust fan installations seemed very high, so I told their estimator that I didn’t want to do it. He called the office and like magic, the price was cut almost in half. So their policy is to see if they can grossly overcharge, then go back to a realistic price if you notice that they are trying to gouge you. (Their official excuse: «He must have read the wrong prices in the book.»)
Then there was the panel upgrade. In this case, their price looked good right off; their electrician told me that we could use the existing undergrounde wiring and conduit – hence the savings. But I remembered seeing somewhere that by code, the wiring would have to be upgraded as well. I checked with the city, and in fact the wiring would have to be upgraded. So either their electrician (who showed up wearing multiple tool belts line a phone lineman – trying to look professional?) doesn’t know what he is doing, or he was trying to con me with an artificially low price.
OK, we can still do the vented exhaust fans. Simple job, should be no problem. But I’m getting a little skeptical, and I’m having trouble locating the right model for the kitchen anyhow (it has to be exactly the right size), so I suggest just doing the bathroom first, then (if that comes out OK), we can do the kitchen. They agree. And they agree to send me a price for just the bathroom. We set up a time to do the work. They don’t send the price. I keep asking for a quote and they keep saying they’ll send it right away. They don’t. They won’t even give me a verbal estimate over the phone. By now my «BS meter» is on the red section of the dial. But hey, they always seem to have a good excuse. Busy, couldn’t get to it, emergency came up, whatever.
On about the fourth call, they seem to have forgotten exactly what is it that we are talking about, so I describe the job (again). Then the tell me that they can’t do the job because they don’t do anything that involves making an opening in the roof. I point out that their man spend a lot of time talking about the ducting through the roof and how to camouflage it (open beam ceiling) and how to avoid leaks. Well, they say, there must have been some «misunderstanding» (one of their favorite words). So we agree to meet at the property to take one more look and see if there is any solution. We set a time. I’m there. They are not. I wait about half an hour, then call them. They seem to have a lot of trouble remembering who I am, or where the property is. Then they get to the excuse: an emergency the day before.
I point out that they have my phone number and my email address, and that they didn’t call or email to let me know they were not going to show. (I didn’t get into the question of why an emergency yesterday has anything to do with not showing up today.) Their explanation? «Sorry for any misunderstanding.»
And then he hung up.
So if you are looking for questionable bids, non-​code installation and all the problems that can come from that, endless excuses and overall waste of time, JC Electric is your go-​to company.

Terrible customer service, left us waiting because it was a smaller job without a curtesy call. We had to call to find out that we were moved from 9:30 am to 1:30 no show them again to 3:30 pm we expressed our disatisfaction NO APOLOGY!!! BAD BUSINESS no repair

What can i say? Good and prompt service! Very fair pricing! Honest and clean work!
Very pleased customer and the business card Joe gave is already in my top contractor list. (For future work ordersssss) Call them and discuss your electrical issues with no hesitation that they will jack up the price.

While I was initially fine with the job performed, it turns out that not only did the electricians not reconnect my central AC unit, they also did not wire our new upgraded circuit box correctly. Because of the sloppiness, I have had to have an HVAC repair person and a solar contractor come to fix the wiring. I would have called the electrician but was not happy about the fact that they rewired things incorrectly. I cannot recommend them due to these reasons.

JC Electric and Lighting installed ceiling fans, recessed lighting and troubleshooted a lot of electrical issues we were having. The team did a great job; they were very professional, on time and reasonably priced. I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend!

I just had Joe, from JC Electric & Lighting out to repair a celieng fan.
Joe was here within 30 minutes, after I called him.
He listened to the fan and said it sounds like something is lose.
He took the fan apart and tightend the Remote Control Box at the top of the fan. Apparently, it had slipped down and was rubbing against the fan.
He was fast, professional and did a nice job.
I thought it was a bit pricey at $ 125.00 but am very satisfied with his work.

JC Electric is a great company. They did a great job years ago for me. how was very professional and his workers cleaned up after themselves. I would use this company again.

Came home and didn’t have any power in my living room. Had to call an electrician. They showed up in a matter of an hour, assessed the situation and had quote ready. I seen an ad from JC electric and decided to call them to install ceiling fans throughout my home. I called and spoke to Joe. Made an appointment and in less than a week he had his team install them. Fast and professional. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Hired off a coupon mailer… Scheduled an 830am appt for a very basic outlet switch. Phone call from their office at 720am stating that they would be here between 830 & 9am. Tech finally showed up at 10:05am. Buh bye. Not going to hire a company that can’t be courteous with my time.
