I’ve been a customer for 10 years. over the past year their customer service has plummeted. When I try to make an appointment I have to leave a message and sometimes they call me back but most of the time they don’t. The woman that cuts my hair is a fabulous hair stylist. But the frustration with working with JC Penney salon has made me look for a new stylist. I made an appointment 2 days ago and when I arrived today they had no record of it. Time to look somewhere else.

I was going to Supercuts for years. My hair is short and I didn’t style it, just cut it. In October, Penney’s was doing free haircuts for breast cancer survivors. I went to get my hair cut, and Anna, my hairdresser, styled it. It was amazing. No more Supercuts for me. Anna is amazing. The last time I was there, she did a new cut on my hair, and I loved it. I went again today, and another amazing job. I may pay more, but, with Anna, it’s worth it.

I’ve been to many hair salons and i finally found one that fits my hair needs! Thank god i found joanna. I live in the southbay but will travel to el cajon to have joanna do my hair! My highlights look natural and fab. The best thing about her is that she does beautiful hair yet works very quickly. Joanna will listen to your requests but will also offer suggestions and her expertise knowledge of hair.

Cheyenne changed my hair color for me and I feel like new person. I have to say it was an enjoyable experience, you know how sometimes you go to someone new and you’re kind of nervous about that because as we all know it’s hard to let a stranger mess with your hair. And then there is nothing to talk about and it’s just plain uncomfortable. This was not like that at all; the staff including the girl that checks you in is all very friendly. And Cheyenne has lots of experience so she knew right away what I was looking for and how to achieve the look I was going for. Thanks again Cheyenne.

Got a coupon for a $ 20 haircut so gave it a try. They charged me $ 30 because I had«long hair»(def. not super long), even though that was not stated on the coupon or told to me when I made my appt. on the phone. A woman named Sarah cut my hair. She was very sweet, but a very poor hairdresser. My hair turned out nothing like the picture I brought in. Also, she kept asking ME if it was EVEN. Talk about unnerving. It was a very poor quality experience and haircut. I would not go again. I have since found a great hairdresser named Anna at Aries Salon in La Mesa. She does great work and only charged me $ 25 for a haircut. And she has NEVER asked me if it was even. :)

Jessica(there are two Jessica’s, my hairdresser has black hair) has been cutting my difficult hair for over a year now and I LOVE her. She listens to what I want, has introduced me to some lovely products that really help control my frizz, cuts my hair how I want it and she’s really sweet! She also styles my fiancé’s hair and he won’t go to anyone else now!

I come here everytime I need my hair cut or dyed. I have found a couple people who I like better then others but no matter what everytime anyone cuts my hair it turns out good. I have had it dyed there four or five times and mostly everytime they get the color I want. I dont always make appointments but I find its a good idea. I would recommend this to anyone! They have so many different types of people there you can find someone you like. My grandma came here for years when I was young and I will contiune to get my hair done here.

I was referred to Tammy at the JC Penny Salon a couple of years ago by a co-worker who had the best highlights I’d seen in a long time. When I went I wasn’t disappointed! I recently decided to change my hair color from blonde to red, and after a few trials and recolors(both of which were free re-dos) Tammy finally came up with a solution to help curb the fading(which is very typical of red color). Not only that, Marlene, the salon manager, even gave me a partial refund from the first coloring. Now THAT is customer service!!! JC Penny has got a customer for life!

Runied my hair, i dont even know the girls name who did it and i dont even want to remember her name. All i know is she had tons of blue eyeshadow on and tons of makeup. I should have run out of there asap. Anyway she did some highlights and lowlights and my hair ended up turning a grey color. I will never go their again.

More like 800000000 stars! Mary Kent has been cutting my hair for more years than I care to tell. I always look great. She listens to what you want and she’ll do it! She has a great eye for different and edgy hair cuts, but is great at old standards too(most of her clientele is older). Colors, perms, cuts, Mary does it all with style and panache! She recommends wonderful products and knows just what will work with your hair.
