My hair lady is Susi, she is experienced, really great personality and she will tell you exactly what is on her mind. She is intelligent and tactful. She’s never rude so feel free to talk to her about what you want or changes you need done to your style. You will have a great experience with her. We talk about anything from my puppies to bettah butt jeans.

I love this place, I have been seeing Juanita since I was 14 years old before she had her own spot and now i am 27 years old and still going to her.

This place is great. I take my 3 year old here to get his haircut and it’s always quick, easy and affordable. Can’t beat that! he looks great every time. I just had my hair layered recently with Arcy and she did a great job. Thank you!

My husband likes to cut his hair here, and my mother-​in-​law brought me to this place to book an appointment for my wedding. Juanita did such a beautiful wedding hair do, everyone loved it. After that occasion, I keep getting my regular haircuts and color with Alejandra. I really like her. Now, I dont personally like everyones work here. I didnt like my sister’s hair for my wedding. But from my experience, these two ladies will do a good job :)

So, I decided to cut my hair. I found this place; and glad I did. Maria was my stylist. She did exactly what I expected. I will be returning to her.

When I have a concern my hair styler who is My Wonder full Susie always makes me feel better. I enjoy my visit admiring their work environment!
Totally recomend this salon. Is worth the drive mo matter where I live. * My favorites Susie and Juanita! Mayne theres more I’ve seen other customer leave very pleasure with their haircut or color.

I am so disappointed with this place. I had been going to Juanita for 7 years, price was amazing for all the color and cut I would do at least every 2 months. Unfortunately for the past year my appointments were no longer respected, I always had to wait no matter what time I made the appointment, sometimes 30 mins, 45 mins, and the last time I finally said forget it. My business is obviously not appreciated here, I will never return.

I love getting my haircut be either Susy or Juanita. They are awesome! I have been going here for 7+ years every 3 – 4 months. Anytime that I’ve gone anywhere else to get my haircut, I hate it and greatly regret it. These two gals work wonders and always excel in making you feel so comfortable. They’re great in suggesting slightly different styles but they ALWAYS listen to what I want first. My primary reason for loving them so much is because they listen to me and understand me. My husband has also been coming here regularly for years. He gets his hair trimmed by either Ivan or Ramiro and they always make him look fresh. This hair salon will make you look fabulous and its affordable for those who can’t pay an arm and a leg!

So I went here a couple years ago to get my hair dyed for a wedding and they did fine. No style or anything. Then I went in about a week ago becauae they are cheap and I had a friend who raved about this place, which is why I went in the first place. So I wanted a messy style pixie cut and my hair was at a little longer than shoulder length hair, I took in pictures or the front and back of how I wanted my hair done. I made an appointment with Suzanne. She cut my hair into a somewhat aline bob cut. Nothing of what I wanted. So I went back the next morning as soon as they opened since she said I had a week to decide if I wanted to go shorter and she would cut it again for free. I took the pictures back in and told her the cut before is not what I wanted and I slept on it but I really wanted the picture style cut. Ahe said okay and said ahe would give me thw meaay look… she left the back too long and she messed up my hair. Not what I wanted at all. She kept trying to get me to spend the money to dye my hair. I said no, I left in tears. I should have just spent the 50.00 and got my hair cut the proper way rather than pay 24.00 tip included, to get my hair messed up. You get what you pay for. I was told by the receptionist that suzanne knew how to cut my hair the way I wanted… now I have to wait for my hair to grow out, to get it cut the right way, by someone who knows what they are doing! Ugh! I don’t recommend this place at all!

This place is great!!! The staff is very professional. I’ve been coming here for 3 months now. For the fellas, Evan hooks up the best haircuts!!!

Came here this Sunday, as soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated, there was no wait. The hair stylist was very nice. She asked how my boyfriend wanted his hair, how he styled it etc. She began to do her thing, she was very talkative, friendly and great customer service. This place is great it has a very welcoming ambiance. Will return.

I like this place, nice staff and i walk out looking fab. They cut my hair and make me look pretty by blow drying it for only 12 bucks (plustip) I am never going elsewhere.

**HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED**
I recently had my hair done at this salon for my friends wedding. When I walked into the salon there were quite a few people in there and the staff all seemed friendly. I walked in at 9:45am and my appointment was at 10:00am. The stylist did not start working on my hair until almost 1 hour after my appointment. I showed her a picture of what I wanted which was a half up-​do with loose wavy curls. She started to do my hair and when she was done I was honestly very unhappy with the result. It did not look like the picture I showed her at all. She noticed I was not thrilled with my hair and I did let her know I did not like it. Her response to me was that the girl in the picture is blonde and I am a brunette so the hair style was going to look different. She said she could change my hair if i wanted since I was not happy. She ended up doing a side ponytail that had a twist of some sort. One of the sides of my hair was not secured and was loose. She was going to leave it there but I pointed it out to her and she said she would fix it if I wanted. the up do was not at all polished and had hair sticking up at different parts. By the time I had gotten home the curls were already coming apart. I was not able to make it in time to get my pictures for the wedding because I had to spend extra time at home fixing my hair. It is unfortunate that I had to pay for something that I could of easily done at home myself and that I am sure would of turned out looking a lot a better than it did. I tried to contact the owner Juanita the following week to let her know I was unhappy but the female who answered the phone the told me she was in the middle of doing someones hair and that I should call back at a later time. I was told to call her back the following Tuesday because She didn’t work on Sundays and she was busy the other days. When I did call back all of a sudden they said she was on vacation and would not be returning until the 28^th of the month. Clearly unprofessional and obviously does not stand behind the work done by her employees.

I was HIGHLY recommended by a co-​worker of mine to have Juanita at this salon do my hair for my wedding. She also had open appointments for my three bridesmaids, and 1 for my mother for the same day which we thought was ideal. As soon as I got there it looked like a very popular and friendly environment and immediately felt comfortable. My appointment was with Juanita at 9am– the owner. She served me coffee and assured me that all her staff will take care of my girls and my mother and that we would all leave happy.
I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she seemed she knew what she was doing. I left telling her I was ok with the hair, but cried as soon as I got in the car. I noticed she used TRESemme hairspray to hold our curls. Really? I would have been better with Aqua Net. The gal who was doing my mom’s hair was asking all of us what looked better, and wanted to leave an awkward curl on the side of my mom’s face. I told her to twist that part up, and looked better. I’m thinking– Aren’t you the hair pro?
My friend was being sprayed with TRESemme, and Juanita’s twin sister walked by and asked why she was using this hairspray, that this would not hold.
2 hours later, we left, and I knew I had to change my hair FAST! She did NOT do what I showed her in the picture and which would have been «ok» if she had actually done something better, but that wasn’t the point. I was on a time schedule and did not have time to look for anyone to «fix» my hair or start all over myself. I was in panic.
My mom’s hair came loose as soon as we got to the venue immediately after we left the salon at 11:30am.
My other bridesmaid’s curls ALL came loose and her front and side curls went flat! I was soo disappointed because we now had to take time away from our scheduled duties to fix what we thought we would not have to worry about.
My other 2 bridesmaids were still at the salon, and were also disappointed with their hair. We ALL had to dig into each other’s hair to make it look as descent as possible. The ceremony had not even started and we were already having to mess with our hair. Our photographer was not able to take pictures of us as we were scheduled to, prior to ceremony because the other two girls got there minutes before it started. This was truly and inconvenience to ALL of us. Time wasted.
The only girl who was happy was my maid of honor who went to another place and was actually removing some of her own bobby pins to help us. Very embarrassing and something no one should EVER experience, especially a bride. I can’t say it ruined my day, because I know it’s not about the hair, but now I have to spend more money to re-​take these pictures and my girls have to all get together again. One lives out of state, and two, out of the country. No one was happy with their hair. I had to pin my hair up at reception because I removed my veil and did not want people to see my hair. I received compliments AFTER I pinned up my own hair which is NOT the style I wanted to have in my pictures.
I will NOT recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a hair do, especially for their special day, but if you do choose this place I HIGHLY recommend you get a trial prior. I regret it sooo much.
After a few days, I felt I had to speak with Juanita so she knew what all we had to go through. She seemed very in shock and surprised. Both her and I were calm and civil. I told her it was not like me to make these types of calls, in fact this is my first Unilocal post I write under my husband’s account. I requested my money back for me and all my girls to include my mother. I told her the fact that we were ALL unhappy with our hair, spoke very poorly about her business and her workers. She told me that her place was known for her low prices and that had I gone elsewhere, I would have paid more. Seriously? I explained that it’s not about the money, I would have rather spent up to $ 200 for a job well done.
One of my friends went back to get her money back after Juanita said she would have to see pictures and needed them to see them in person to discuss a refund. They made my friend feel as if it was her fault her hair did not stay. That it was wet, too long, and too curly. I have NEVER EVER experienced such poor professional behavior. As a client, one trusts hair stylists to know what they are doing, and always ensures her reputation and satisfaction. This is clearly not a place with principle.

Susana and Ramiro are the best when you need a skin fade. I’m not saying that the rest of the crew can’t do ‘em. But they are my go to barbers.
The best thing about Juanita & Ramiro’s is that the staff is always smiling and super friendly. The staff make it a point to know your name, and how you like your cut.

Got my hair done here by Alejandra and I LOVE IT! she is such a pleasure to work with. The place stays busy but they will accommodate walk ins like they did with me. Prices are reasonable and I will def will be going back!!!

Im still going to Juanita’s (almost 4 yrs now) and getting my highlights done by Susanna, they turnout blond and beautiful as always, infact im due for another appointment soon.
So if you’re in east county or the college area and don’t want to pay $ 175 to get your hair done, give one of the twins Juanita or Susanna a call.

I was referred to see Edna who does the waxing and Eyelash Extensions here. I went to see her on Friday, she was a little behind on schedule but the place was busy that it kept me entertained. It is a family establishment and family is definitely welcomed there.
It’s my first time getting my eyelashes done. My lashes is already long, I just wanted it to look fuller. Well, Edna told me what would work best for me. She is not out to immediately put on a new set for you, she advised me to go with individuals — medium length. It took no longer than 20 minutes and she was very nice during the whole procedure.
I feel in love with the work she had done. I was so excited to make an appointment to do my fills but she like any good person said to wait and see if this is what I would like to continue doing then give her call when I am ready.
I appreciated her honesty — and yes I like them it just takes some getting used to but I received so many compliments about them
