Kirk’s Radiator Auto Air Conditioning

Stopped in this morning with no appointment and was seen immediately. The guys were all super friendly. I was prepared for the worst since my ac was making this horrible whistling sound. They put my car on the rack and found I had ran over sandpaper. It had gotten sucked up into my car and that was the cause of the noise. My heart, stomach and bank account were relieved. I know who I will come back to when it needs some real work.

These guys are the nicest guys and on top of that, they are very professional. They do great work at reasonable prices. I definitely recommend!

FREE A/​C INSPECTION & ESTIMATE!
Seems easy enough right? You tell me what is wrong before I fork over any money but believe me a free inspection is not easy to come by. It was the Unilocal «honesty» reviews and the free inspection that caused me to drive out of my way to the east to visit Kirk’s. I understand a business needs to make money and they don’t make money diagnosing for free and letting you leave to go fix it yourself or somewhere else but I believe that is what sets this shop apart from the others. They get that opportunity to demonstrate their professionalism and honesty and give you that first quote and they know you will be back and word of mouth and Unilocal will do them very well. They figured the problem out pretty quick (I showed up without an appointment) and even showed me the problem (which I already suspected), the compressor and that is like the worst news ever with the A/​C.
Initially I felt the price was high but I did go home and estimate the cost of parts online to do it myself (money is tight and compressors jobs are not cheap) and unless you have some A/​C knowledge and the right tools and want to risk damaging the entire system with a garage job, they offer a damn competitive price even for the home mechanic.
I highly recommend you give them a chance, even if it is just for the free inspection because after my experience I believe they will give you an honest inspection and feedback and will be the best value you will find and will trust the job they do. They were even able to repair the A/​C in the car I arrived in for pickup ON THE SPOT.
Right now a week later it is GOOD AS NEW. There is a warranty. I trust their work will hold up but if it doesn’t I will update my review… Trust me on that.

Just took my jeep here 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee to get it ready for TDS jeep run they told me it was going to be $ 65 bucks up front they will find the problem and if I want them to fix it I can and they will apply it towards the total repair cost if I don’t want that they will still tell me what’s wrong and I can go on my way

They did next day turn around for me it ended up being a pressure switch and they also checked the system for leaks $ 20 parts $ 45 labor
They could have charged me $ 200 bucks and I would have been fine with that but they were totally honest got me dialed in and sent me on my way
Plus they have been in the same spot and around for like a hundred years

Called here because I was avoiding getting ripped off by another shop.
Quoted me much lower than where I had originally taken my car. I really appreciated their honesty, they don’t try to jab you and don’t use your lack of car knowledge against you.
Very friendly humble father and son, I was happy to leave my car with them and will continue to use them!
Would recommend them to anyone, they deserve your business.

The shop diagnosed and fixed my truck in 12 hours. I had it back and on the road 2 days sooner than I thought. Excellent service. Ryan came into the shop to work on vehicles at like 3 in the morning because they were short handed. Still stunned that I got my truck back so quickly and the problem is totally fixed. Great place all around!

Extremely disappointed, I believed the good reviews, and was taken advantage of, took my car for an air conditioner inspection and repair I was charged $ 280.00 for the job, 3 weeks later I was back, no more cool air. I was told that they hadn’t done a complete inspection and that the condenser needed replacing, another $ 1500.00! I declined of course and took my
Car some place else.
I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER!!!

Well, I was referred to Kirk’s by Joe at NTG Racing. I drive up without an appointment and Ryan just took charge and began trouble shooting the AC problem on my 1997 3500. Could not have been more professional or courteous. I don’t even know what’s wrong or what this may cost but I strongly recommend this shop for any AC issue you may have. 3^rd generation family owned operating for 67 years. I can easily see why.

Called the day before to make an appointment at 3:00 the next day. my air wasn’t working. showed up on time. The gentleman behind the counter said pull it around to the first bay and they guys checked it out. they said it was probably some bad fittings. I asked if they could do it saturday «were slosed saturday but we can do it right now, It’ll take about and hour.» they were done in 25 minutes and my air blows really cold and at a great price. Doesn’t get any better than that. this is how a business should be run. very happy customer.

KIRK’S SAVED US when our Chevy 1-​ton developed a radiator leak on Easter Friday. Stan said «come on in,» and they worked nonstop to get us on the road, even after the part was unavailable. That’s where it really paid off that Kirk’s has the ability to repair, not just replace-​and we had the old style, metal radiator. Best of all, they loved our dogs. Father & son (Ryan?) (mostly son :) worked until we were off on our vacation again, and no one even mentioned that it was getting late on a holiday weekend. Kirk’s worked a miracle for us, and we’ll be back again with all our cars!

Great to work with. I had an overheating issues in by modified Jeep CJ-​2. Stan was able to rod out the existing radiator and discussed other improvements to the air flow. He took the time to understand my application and provided quality workmanship at a reasonable price. Thanks for the help Stan and crew.

Ryan was friendly and didn’t charge us $ 100 like the other places were going to charge us, just to check out what was wrong with our ac system in our car.
He told us what was wrong, and he even told us what to do and how we could fix it ourselves. We appreciate that kind of honesty because he could’ve just ripped us off by saying only a mechanic could fix it.
We would definitely go back in the future should anything fail!

‘ve gone to these folks for A/​C and radiator work over the years. Always professional and courteous, and most importantly, honest. We all feel stupid and at the mercy of A/​C folks, so it’s a relief to encounter people who you can trust. As an example, the A/​C on my 2000 CRV stopped working. These cars are notorious for compressor problems. They quickly checked it out, and all it needed was a top-​off of refridgerant. They topped it off and sent me on my way — no charge! Guess who I’m going back to in the future?

I got a exhaust put on my truck this last week I told Ryan I wanted to be able to hear it but not be obnoxious on the road. He recommended a set up for me and it’s perfect. It has a nice healthy tone out side the truck but once I close the door I can’t hear it any more until I Crack the throttle. The exhaust is hung up very tight and neat, welds look great. I will be bringing my 72 k10 and my 74 nova to him when it’s time.

I brought my radiator in for a leak test, knowing it was spraying coolant. I just wanted to know WHERE it was leaking and could I patch it until replacement arrived in the mail. The technician tried to talk me OUT OF spending money since he could tell where it was leaking from already… When I went ahead with the process which only took 2 minutes, I was charged a fraction of the quoted price.
It says a lot to be able to speak to an expert, get their advice, have them recommend not spending money since it was unnecessary, agree to do it anyway for customer satisfaction, then discount the service. If I have any further issues that I am unable to deal with on my car, I will be coming to these honest and courteous folks before ANYONE else.

During a serpentine belt change on my 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel, I slipped with the breaker bar while putting slack on the tensioner. The result was a gash in the radiator. I felt stupid and defeated. I took the radiator to Kirk’s and they did a perfect repair for a great price— in under an hour! Very happy with Kirk’s. I had also used them years ago with an overheating problem with my wife’s Durango.

I drove in and met Stan who quickly looked over my Miata, gave me a few options, and after choosing to fill up my freon, he said it would be 15 minutes and I would be on my way! It doesn’t get easier than that!

These guys are legit.
Great, straightforward talk, great service, and very, very reasonable prices.
Got a new radiator for my ’87 Integra, good quality build and although it wasn’t original equipment (not sure Acura is making parts for 25+ year old models anymore), it was one of the best in the business. These guys don’t bullshit and they really know their stuff.
Radiator installed from drop off to pick up took maybe 5 hours and cost under $ 350 if I remember correctly. Fluids were great all hoses were legit. Of course I double checked but was relieved not to find anything amiss.
Will definitely come here again, if I need a new radiator or ever get a car with air conditioning :)

Not that these guys need another 5 star review but they sure as hell deserve it; They have what every place should have knowledgeable people, honesty and friendly.
I first took my Chevy Uplander to Pep Boys for AC diagnostics which they charged me $ 50 – 60 to complete then told me the compressor was shot and needed to be replaced. I was given an estimate of $ 1000 to start. I couldn’t afford that at the time so I said no thanks and went on my way.
A little over a year passes and I finally have some money saved up and went looking for a second opinion when I found Kirk’s with 100% positive reviews and decided to give them a try. Boy was I glad I did. I called and Ryan answers, I gave him the history and he was honest with me. He said he had not yet worked on a Chevy Uplander but he would give it a 5 – 10 minute (FREE) look to see if he could figure it out. I agreed and headed straight over. I was greeted very kindly by Ryan as I walked through the door and he knew exactly who I was, even though we had never meet before, asked for the keys and he took my van back. Not even 5 minutes went by and he came back to the waiting area said, its not the compressor, its looks to be electrical. He gave me an estimate of about $ 300 and less than 24 hours to complete. I left my van there and had my husband pick me up. Some time goes by and Ryan calls my husband to let him know that the condenser needed to be replaced, he said the AC would run fine for a while without replacing the condenser but he didn’t recommend it as when we did go to replace it we would have to again pay for some of the work (not sure which it was, I am not a car person but my husband understood what he was talking about) so we decided to move forward with the suggestions.
In the end we paid just under $ 800, the AC is working wonderfully and we got amazing service from very friendly people. Had we gone with Pep Boys we would have paid over $ 1000 to replace a perfectly working compressor and our AC would still not be working.
