Specialties

Music IS expression. To truly express yourself, you need to be in the right frame of mind when performing.

At Lucid Sound, we focus on making sure you are the most comfortable and relaxed you can be for your recording session. We use the highest quality equipment available combined with the power of Protools HD to capture every nuance of your performance and have the experience and equipment to deliver a beautiful sounding, commercial ready product.

Talk is cheap. The proof is in the final product. We encourage you to listen to the artists on our website (lucidsound.net) and compare the quality with other studios. You’ll find that as a privately owned home studio, we can offer great rates while delivering that BIG studio sound in a relaxed environment without the big price tag.

History

Established in 2008.

The studio is owned and operated by Engineer/Producer/Drummer George Makris who drums for the progressive metal band: Etched In Red. George began back in the late 90’s collecting equipment to record his own bands. In 2005, Etched In Red began production on what would be George’s first full length album recording. Since the release of Dylate In 2007, the album has has won several awards for best production and has received lots of attention from online radio stations and major record labels such as Warner Bros., Epic, and Universal.

«My goal is to give local artists a high quality product that can compete with the big major label records, without the major label price tag.»

Even before the success of Dylate, other artists in the local music community had asked George to record their demos and albums. Initially a hobby studio, it quickly turned into a full production studio, acquiring some of the best sounding equipment the recording industry has to offer, and Lucid Sound was born.
