Matt’s Caddy Shack

After reading reviews on Unilocal,I found Matts Caddy Shack. Our caddy needed desperate attention. The engine was making sounds so we had it towed to the Caddy Shack. We later received a call and was told there was definitly something wrong and that they would need to break down the engine to figure out what it was. BUT it was going to be $ 2,000 yes, TWO thousand just to break down the engine to see what was wrong not including how much it would cost to fix it… UGHH NO. So we paid the assessment fee and left. When we brought it in the car was running just making that noise and when we got it back the noise was extreamly worse and then it just died — a white cloud of smoke came out — DEATH. So we had it towed to a GMC dealership and guess what — I have always thought dealerships were more expensive but they said it would be 800 to break down the engine to see what was wrong.

Brought in our commercial Ford E350 van, with a V-​10 triton engine, which is constantly on the road. Matt’s has done extensive work & quality repairs in emergency situations when we couldn’t afford to be down for any length of time.
Matt goes the extra mile for us to get our vehicles up & running in a timely manner. Matt consistently provides not only preventative maint. but provides emergency repairs to keep us in operation and on the road.
Matt recently did a bearing, spindle and brake pad repair in a matter of a few hours, when it would have taken other shops days to repair.
Matt did an extremely difficult total radiator replacement and has repaired other engine issues in an extraordinary efficient manner.
In 30 years in business, I have never received repair service that can compare to Matt’s. Thank you, Matt, Roger & crew for your attention to our vehicles!

1999 Cadillac Deville, car got hot had it towed by AAA to my home. Battery was low, so jumped started it from tow truck. Had it towed to Matt’s Caddy Shack. PCM was in anti theft mode. Matt found the computer bad as if someone had jumped started backwards. He installed a used computer and reflash-​relearn theft. Got car stared and releaned all adapts.. Matt said car had blown head gasket. Apprx. $ 3000.00 to $ 4000.00 dollars to repair engine. I paid the invoice for work done of $ 698.00 I said no thanks and had car towed to my home. I looked myself at the engine compartment and discovered a bearing on belt tensioner water pump was gone. Therefor no tension on water pump belt. Went to Auto Zone bought new belt and bearing for $ 48.00 dollars. Installed it myself. Started my car up and car temperature went to 196 degrees. I have continued to drive the car over 1000 miles and have had no issues with over heating. Due to the jump starting by AAA tow truck, there was an investigation on the problems with the car and Matt’s Caddy Shack. Was advised by head personnel of AAA to take this issue about work done at Matt’s Caddy Shack up with the BAR (Auto Repair Calif. Government)

Was in from out of town Arizona to be precise saw the reviews so I went with the Unilocal entrusted reviews and I wasn’t let down. Matt and his crew are not only professionals but they took care of my needs in the timely and personal fashion. Matt took the time to answer the phone when I called, called me proactively and spent time to explain everything. Let’s face it you just can’t find that type of customer service ever these days.
Now if I can only convince Matt to open up the shop in Arizona too.

I took my girlfriends CTS to Matt. He was quick, thorough, and friendly. He made the appropriate repairs and had it done very quickly. I had asked him to diagnose the problem then allow us to take the car for the weekend, then return later to repair it. He was able to give me some advice on how to avoid double charges for coming and going. He seemed to be customer service centered. It wasn’t a cheap fix but what do you expect when driving a caddy!!! Will return if needed!!!

I recently took my Silverado Diesel to the Caddy Shack with a punch list of repairs! Met with Matt and he explained exactly what was going on with my truck! They did all the repairs in 1 day and was reasonable with their price! He is very straight up with what needs to be done and does not try to upsell you or roll you into repairs you do not need! I will be taking my LB7 here from now on instead of the Dealer! SO Glad to find an HONEST independent certified Duramax shop! Thanks Matt!

We purchased a used Cadillac from a family member. It was in excellent shape with low miles. However, It developed a small oil leak which was bothersome. We took it to the dealer. Their quote seemed quite high so we decided to investigate other options. I did some online research and contacted Matt’s Caddy Shack via email on their website. In a matter of minutes, I received a phone call from Matt.
We took the vehicle in for diagnostic work to determine the source of the leak. We met with Matt and learned about how they do things at his shop. It was refreshing to speak with the owner.
They called with an estimate (that included some additional work that would be needed soon and it was easier /​more cost effective to do it sooner as opposed to later). The total was less than the dealer’s quote. So, we got more for less and felt much more confident in the integrity of the work completed.
Given that Matt’s name is on the business /​brand, he takes great pride in ownership. We were pleased with the entire process and consider Matt’s our «go to» service center.

Great service and good people. I highly recommend them for company or personal issues.

Needed a Powerstroke shop to trust and take my ’97 in for service. Replaced rear power window motor, great service, price and they finished ahead of schedule. Highly recommend!

This is a review more on honesty instead of actual work. Went here to get an estimate on struts because the ride on my Highlander is getting a little rough and bouncy. Matt gave me a quote and said: «You really don’t need them unless you just want to spend the money because they won’t make the ride that much better for the cost». Refreshing to have an honest quote from a car mechanic. So I left there today not spending any money but I know that Matt’s will be the next stop for the regular maintenance on my Highlander in a couple of months.

My boyfriend & I moved here about 1 ½ years ago. And we only go to Matt’s! Heard about this shop from a great recommendation from someone else and haven’t been proved wrong yet! Excellent service: Everyone is always so friendly, they explain what you don’t understand and are patient and helpful. Professional employees and a comforting environment. Cars run great after service here! Quick & Easy: Our repairs have always been done within 24 – 48 hours. This makes it conveniant so no one has to go too long without their vehicle. Get a friendly phone call as soon as your car is ready. Good people: We are a young couple and Matt has helped us out with our pricing a few times. This means more than I can even explain. It’s hard to find an autoshop you can trust, especially living in a new place. Thank you Matt’s Caddyshack! You guys are doing a fantastic job and keep up the good work :)
