Maytag Coin Laundry

I had one small load. Quick, easy, Right??? I was not able to get the first two machine coin slots to accept my quarters. This was no longer simple. I put my load back into the bag and left.

This place is terrible!!! There is nobody to maintain this place. Don’t waste your time or money. My husband had to pay to use the restroom and then it was a mess in there. No toilet paper or a working sink to wash your hands, and it smelled bad. The washer didn’t wash our clothes. It just filled the washer with water, but didn’t wash it. We found our detergent pod stuck to one of shirts so we know it didn’t clean anything. The dryers worked ok, but my son complained that it smelled like smoke when he opened the door. All in all, this is not a good place to go if you want clean clothes and a clean bathroom to use. We’ll be going somewhere else next time.

This score will improve when we are reimbursed. That being said I start with saying all but one coin machine was out of order so going to the last machine my boyfriend puts in a 20 and alas, nothing.
The number online for the business doesn’t work and all we can do is write a note leave it in a mail slot to the office and hope we get money back.
Continuing on we get change from a local business, load everything into the washers and wait. I go to use the bathroom (a 25 cent charge to get in). I pay and open the door and I tell you it was darker than a broom closet and about as useful as the change machine. No tp anywhere no seat cover and an out of order sign posted inside the room. (After you pay to get in)
So here it is, everything in this place seems to be broken filthy and hardly maintained. The washers we used were well enough and I’ll figure the dryers will function well enough but I come here to get my things clean and don’t feel as though this place presents a clean space to do it.

My tip is this. As great as this place can be. I am so sick and tired of seeing this Police happy family call on law enforcement even when people don’t do anything! ! I’ve witnessed her. The lady in particular get loud with African Americans on more than one occasion and the son overly watch African Americans, like there is an expectation of them doing something! They circle & watch them like a hawk. Just recently as today. The gentleman tried to tell her his money got lost and she basically called him a liar. and then got loud and indignant with him. Then because he turned around and went back to his business and said fu**, to himself because she would NOT listen & called him a liar. This man was in the front of the laundry, she was near the back yelling…‘what you say to me’ over and over being confrontational in her tone. Then said. I call police. I call police! This woman, she called police and said he cursed at her and even lied to police about what happened. Turns out. He Was law enforcement too. She’s rude. Treats people of color like they’re gonna rob the place and is a liar. I used to go here but no more. .why should I patronize a person who makes assumptions, racially profiles and is a liar? And you wonder why people get fed up.
It’s sickening. The police left and basically said this is what you called us for. But did she apologize. No she did not. It might not matter to them. .but as a person of principles. I’ll never spend another dime with Maytag. free wi-​fi or not. good riddance! !!!
Post script. She then wanted her son to give the man back his money after all of that. He declined. Told the son. Tell your mom to keep her money.

Walked in here with a clueless look on my face. It’s my first time ever to a laundromat. The kind Asian woman (owner?) greeted me and asked if I needed help and stood close by as I sorted and fumbled through my clothes that needed laundering.
Some helpful things I was relieved to find were: their IS a coin machine here takes 1’s and 5’s. So relieved.
Also– machines take any type of liquid detergent I was really happy about that– not having to worry if I was going to flood the place out with suds or not!
Machines take about ~ 30 mins.*including the extra large $ 4.00 machines. Not bad! I was hoping I wouldn’t be here ALL day. 2-​loads going at once I’ll be done in no time.
Note-​use the website they add on here for pricing. If you’re a first timer it’s the key. They don’t clearly list the pricing on the machines. Maybe I’m blind though.

This is the only laundry mat I come to, haha. I don’t know if it’s the whole Asian thing, the cleanliness, and the helpfulness but I love it here. There’s up to 4 loads, and its super cheap. The dryers are nice and big, and it’s next to a Chinese restaurant! I come here all the time. The Wi-​Fi is free, but it’s locked so you do have to ask for the password. But, other than that it’s a pretty nice place for a Sunday wash.

Family-​owned, by a father, mother, and an older son of Asian descent. New washers as of today. Sweet! Free wi-​fi. Located next door to a convenience store for some quick snackies. Their prices are about one to two quarters cheaper than other laundromats I’ve been to
What I love most about this place is that it is FAMILY-​OWNED. I have been coming twice a week for laundry for the past four months. They recognized me on my second visit. They even start conversation with me and we talk about the weather or how work is going for me. They have a lot of regulars come in because they’re so darn friendly.
I like doing laundry here. The first day I came in, the son immediately asked if I needed help. And they are always out on the floor assisting other customers or deep cleaning the machines – they never hide out behind some closed door watching the security footage. I like these people. Five stars!!!

Great laundromat! Very friendly staff. New Wascomat Washers! New Dryers are coming soon! They also have Speed Queen machines if it tickles your fancy. The place is well kept clean. Would recommend to anyone.
