, my wife went to get her hair dyed and and trimmed and highlighted by Amber. We had previously used more upscale salons, but the deal was reasonable and the reviews were good. when she got there amber said that her hair was damaged and unable to be worked on (something that is specifically quoted in the other reviews) generally we spend $ 200 on her hair and have never been told this. Her hair hadn’t been dyed in 6 months and goes through regular hot oil treatments and does not have split ends. Note that if you are using the half off coupon that you will waste your time, money and gas to meet a stylist who doesn’t want to do any actual work. I do not recommend this.

Amber is beyond amazing! I’m very picky with who I trust with my hair and she continues to amaze me with her talent and professionalism. She came to my rescue when I had tape-​in extensions and my previous stylist moved out of town. She came to my rescue when no one could get my wedding hair right and did a phenomenal job. She is beyond accommodating and if there is something you are not happy with she will do whatever it takes to make you happy. Five stars is not enough to describe her awesomeness.

Wow! The best cut and style I have ever had. Tessa who is a absolute sweetheart did my very damaged hair and I could not be more happier. The salon is decorated sooo nice, love it. I will not be going any where else to have my hair done.

Went here with a Groupon since relocating to San Diego. I’m not a natural blonde and I’m always hesitate about trying new hair dressers out. I go by reviews however, I also have a limited budget as I’m someone who gets my hair colored every 6 weeks.
Amber was on time and the atmosphere is relaxing an comfortable. She did my roots, full on low lights, and styled my hair. I normally don’t like curly hair but she gave me more of a retro way due that I just love (of course by the time I wake up for work tomorrow it will be flat LOL).
Her prices are very reasonable as well. I’m normally always scared to hear how much the service typically will cost after I come in with a Groupon but was happy that she was in my budget.
Would have been 5 stars except for 1 thing. The place has bar in it so I thought there would be a beverage bar. Aside from just coffee, there’s no drinks =(

I decided to go to Amber to color my hair for wedding because she did my sister-​in+ law’s hair, and it looked nice. At our consultation, I told her that someone has colored my hair, and didn’t want to admit they didn’t get the color I wanted. She asked me if they try to fix it, and I told her no, and she said that’s not good. I simply wanted ash brown so that it would be easy to maintain and I could become a regular customer. Once she was done coloring my hair, it looked blonde, so I thought she would be throwing the intended color on next. She started to blow dry my hair, and I realized she was not throwing the other color on top. Just like my experience with other hairdresser, she didn’t admit that she didn’t get the color right. I had to tell her I needed to come back because it obviously it was too light. When I came back to color it again, I asked her to take out the swatches, so I could take sure I pointed out the shade of color I was going for. Once I picked it out I asked, «Will it come out that color?» She said it would. After coloring, it was just as light but with a ashy tone. Again, she didn’t admit the color came out wrong. I went to her telling her about my previous experience, and she did the same exact thing. She messed up and didn’t own up to it, so now I have to find another hairdresser that can fix it.

Amber is very professional and sweet. She makes sure every detail is taken care of and that her client is comfortable! The salon is adorable and clean! I loved sitting in her chair. I was relaxed and felt like I was in a high end salon. It was a wonderful experience and I absolutely will visit her again and recommend her to my friends.

I have been a client of Tessa’s for 2 years now. I moved here from Sacramento and went through several stylists before I found Tessa. She’s amazing. If you are looking for hair extensions she is the BEST. I’ve never had a complaint and I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else.

I’m absolutely blown away by the environment at the mint hair bar! I have seen the work coming out of the owners Tessa and Amber it’s incredible! I’m so proud to see these girls do their thing, can’t wait make my first appointment!

First of all Mint Hair Bar is absolutely beautiful inside. It is in a easy to get to location with tons of Parking! Tessa recently did my hair a vivid purple and I absolutely love it! I have very thick hair so it took awhile but she remained friendly and happy the entire time. Will come again and recommend to others!

Amber fisher does my daughters hair for every special occasion from weddings to recitals and I wouldn’t trust any other hands to touch her hair! She has been our family’s beautifier since 2010 and she is amazing! She has managed to take my frizzy unhealthy thinning hair to a new level. Since moving from LA to San Diego, Amber is the absolute ONLY person I trust with my hair. Finding a hairstylist who is amazing at both cutting AND coloring is like finding a unicorn. That said, Amber is my unicorn. Never in my adult life have I received so many compliments on my hair! Shes cut and colored my hair, done my make up, waxed me, and never once have I ever been disappointed. Amber is more than a hair stylist– she’s a true artist!

Amber is the BEST hair stylist in East County! She’s always helpful and gives it her all. To say she is talented is a HUGE understatement. She once got my hair to come from bright red to completely blonde in one session, and it looked absolutely amazing. Not only is she great with color, but she also does amazing styling. She did all of the styling for my wedding, and it was beautiful. I know any experience had at Mint Hair Bar will be nothing short of amazing. There is nowhere else I would go.

I am so excited for these two ladies getting their own salon ! Tessa and Amber are the BEST!!! Tessa has transformed me into a beautiful blonde no other hair stylist has ever been able to do before, but I definitely leave happy every time I sit in Tessa’s chair :) she’s super sweet and they are hilarious together! Total A-​team !! Haha! I definitely recommend Mint Hair Bar, you will never need to find another hair stylist;)
