In 2007 Rafi graduated from California Hair And Design Academy. After a year of a very intensive training and evolving, Rafi joined some of the elite hair artists at salon De Marcus in downtown San Diego. In 2009 Rafi moved to Moda Hair Design and is currently working with some of the leading and most experienced stylists in Hillcrest, CA.

As a thank you and to show appreciation for my current and future clients, I want to renew my commitment to offer only the best and the most personal service and accommodation possible and I hope to never let you down. You are my drive, you are my passion, and everyday I look forward to become a better stylist for you.

So being a guy and getting hydro facial isn’t something I would consider getting. But today I went to the one salon located in El Cajon and meet with Crystal who owns crystal clear skin and beauty. So I decided to get the hydro facial and was shocked of all of the oil and chemicals that she removed from face. The experience was awesome and the room was cozy. I highly recommend this treatment and crystal is a legit pro. She explained every procedure and made sure I understood what she was doing. Thanks again and I’ll

It was my first time going in to see the salon, it is beautiful and their hair and makeup is exceptional. Crystal did my facial, but this is no ordinary facial, she put a pumpkin mask on my for my acne, she put a blue light mask on me for bacteria, she did a hydra-​facial removing all my clogged pores, and to top it all off my skin looks as incredible as it has looked in years. I have had many facials and hydra-​facials at various high-​end spa’s, Crystal knowledge and technique surpasses them all. Thank you for giving me my skin back.

During my initial consultation, Rafi explained so much about the different colors and undertones my hair had. He is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. I am so pleased with my hair (color-​correction, cut and amazing blowouts) I get so many complements everywhere I go and people are constantly asking me about my hair. I wish I discovered him years ago!!! This salon is great because everyone there is very professional and friendly, the salon is beautifully decorated. They offer many services so be sure to check them out. BUT if you are doing a color correction RAFI is your guy… I assure you that you will always walk out of ONE Salon like you are stepping out of a hair commercial.

My purple hair with pink highlights are no more, thanks to Rafi’s amazing work! I’m a red-​headed, mature (50+) woman with no desire for purple/​pink hair! The morning after my disastrous hair coloring session at my (now former) hair salon, I spotted all the great reviews for Rafi’s color restoration work (and ALL his work on Unilocal). I called first thing that morning and Rafi took me in that very day for a consult. He gave me an honest opinion of what he could do, how long it would take, etc. (even gave me special shampoo to get the process started) and so I booked my appointment.
Fast forward to now — my hair color is fantastic! Rafi worked approx. four hours removing the wrong color while protecting the already over-​bleached pink highlights from more damage. He then colored my hair back to its natural red color, and even trimmed and styled my hair which he wasn’t sure would be possible with the amount of restoration needed! Thank you Rafi — I will spread the word!

Rafi is an exceptional hair stylist. It is very hard to find a stylist of his caliber. I’ve been in San Diego for 9 years, and only started seeing Rafi about 2 years ago. Before that, I went from stylist to stylist, paying prices that were all over the place, all for cuts and colors that I was never happy with. I’m so glad I found Rafi (thanks Amy!)
Just to drive the point home — I recently had to leave town for an extended period, and was forced to go to someone else while I was away. I was concerned about maintaining the style and color that Rafi had created, so I went to someone highly recommended and paid $ 400 per visit (twice, for color touch-​ups – in NYC, but still). Unfortunately, that very well paid «stylist» turned me platinum blonde and fried my hair. Thankfully, Rafi got me back on the road to beautiful hair when I got back to town. I was never so happy to see my stylist!
If you’re in San Diego, it’s is well worth the drive out to El Cajon. I’m there in 20 minutes from my place in University Heights.

I’ve had 2 hair stylist in my life. Both for very long periods. Unfortunately for me my most recent moved away :/​in desperate need of a hair cut I too came to Unilocal.I called Raffi and he scheduled me in. (im a little picky and pretty hard to please with hair) The salon has a fresh ambiance. He cut my hair and Carmen blow dried it. Raffi is a natural. He reminds me of Edward Scissor Hands lol. And Carmen. She’s a complete sweetheart too. I mentioned I was going to an event afterwards and they convinced Alen to do my make up. Oh my gosh!!! Alen is a *french* make up god! These guys are friendly and love what they do. I found my new hair guy.

I had very long hair for a very long time and I just wanted a change! Since I’m new to the area I went on Unilocal to fund a good salon for my hair cut! I’m so glad I found this place and Rafi is awesome! He took his time with me and I was very comfortable and confident that the hairstyle I was about to get! I was totally happy with the results! SERIOUSLY THE BEST! Rafi is amazing. He is great at natural blonde highlights and cutting my thick, unruly hair! I have been getting highlights for 15+ years and have never found someone as talented as Rafi. His prices are great, the salon is calm, and he is almost always on time. After almost 3 years with Rafi, I don’t mind driving to El Cajon for this amazing experience. He always takes care of me!

Rafi is AMAZING! After not being able to find my match in hairdressers, my friend referred me to Rafi at One Salon. Rafi brought me back to the blonde I had been missing from a brunette bayalage. Not only is he amazing with color corrections and highlights, he will listen to what you are wanting to do with your hair and provide his professional opinion to help you find what style is right for you. Recently Rafi cut my long hair to a short A-​line, and I can’t believe I haven’t done it sooner! I’m so happy with my hair. I highly recommend going to Rafi for whatever your hair needs may be!

By far the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon– Rafi is a miracle worker! Took my warm, brassy auburn hair to a beautiful cool colored blonde… in one session!!! In the past, inexperienced stylists told me it’d take 3, 4 visits to get the color I got with Rafi. He’s very honest about the type of color you can expect and what goes best with your skin tone, a refreshing change from past hairdressers who oversell and then under-​deliver just for the $$$. He assured me I wouldn’t leave his studio with something I didn’t like, and he was right! My hair has never felt healthier. The salon itself is very clean and upscale, gorgeous interior and had some green tea while I waited. Can’t wait to go back!

After many, month of thorough review I have come to the conclusion that Zarina is lucky that short hair is in. Every single time I look at my hair or attempt to style it I still to this day am agrivated with how horrible she styled my hair. She was the worst ever and deserves to have her license suspended. I have already gone into great detail about the extent of which she ruined by hair but need to make this known to all.

I finally found him! Rafi is the best stylist in town. I do not live near the salon but he’s worth the drive. I have naturally dark hair and have a difficult time finding a stylist that can get my highlights just the right tone. I used to go to expensive salons in downtown and usually leave disappointed, not anymore. I always leave this salon more than satisfied. Rafi is very honest and I enjoy our conversations. His prices are reasonable and the salon is very stylish.

As men, we don’t really notice our wives hair changes much ,
My wife has been going to the One Salon for the last year or so and every time she comes home after a hair do I notice her hair glowing .
I even went there and met the owner Rafi and he is a very nice humble guy.

There is that one time in a woman’s life when you dare to chop of all your hair and try out a pixie cut. Zarina was the one who confidently cut and styled my first pixie cut. Rafi is a dream. This place is amazing and you can tell from the start that he truly cares about what you want and what is going to look best on you. He took me from an overgrown June Cleaver look to a cut and style that makes me look and feel great! I walked in to the homestead afterwards and my teenage girl told me I looked amazing… without any prompting! That is saying something. No one else is going to touch my hair.
