Our family has entrusted San Diego Post-Acute to care for our mother, i had my doubts about taking my mom to a nursing home to continue her care but San Diego Post-Acute has really made us feel warm and welcome. The nurses as well as administration have been patient and understanding as i did have a hard time leaving my mother. My overall experience went well and i would definitely come back here if my mother needed it. She is back up on her feet and getting back to her normal routine.

I am a resident of San Diego Post Acute Rehabilitation Center. I have been in the rehab center for 2 years. First it was Chase Care then it was sold to San Diego Post Acute. Since San Diego Post Acute took over life has been great. Marionne Matusalem(our Administrator) goes above and beyond the call of duty. As an up and coming young administrator he is always willing to put patient’s care first. I have been caught between the state insurance and private insurance and all the while he has seen my services were uninterrupted which is very nice and refreshing. Not only does he attend care plan meetings if asked(and able) but he works with families and patients as a patient advocate when necessary. Our faculty is blessed as well as our facility to have Marionne who does a lot more than others would. Our facility has a 1 – 2 approach team; our activities director has his nursing license, is a certified nursing assistant and chooses to work as an activities director(less stress). Mr Jerome Landers is exceptional from ensuring patient needs whether it be answering call lights, walking with patients, arranging outings to baseball games, making trips to the stores etc. Jerome Landers is very concerned with patient care; he also attends care conferences. We have pet therapy as a rather large part of our therapy process since Jerome has come about with San Diego Post Acute. Some of our activities have included casino nights at the facility, carnivals, music venues, socials, and wonderful special occasion meals with the help of our 5 star chef Mr Joseph Nigro.

I came by to see how the facility was run and if it was suitable for a family member or friend. I was kindly greeted by Heather the Social Services Director and she gave me a full tour. She showed me such genuine kindness with no time restraints and thoroughly answered all my questions. I was also introduced to a funny, hard working activities director named Jerome. Knowing these two are here makes me give this facility 5 stars and I Highly recommend anyone looking to give this location a try.

My dad had been in the facility for nearly 5 years. There was a change in ownership in the last few months, but the care seems to be just as good as ever. I am most happy with the nursing staff and I cant rave loud enough regarding the nursing care. The Nurses and Respitory therapists have been great!!! My dad always received loving care. I cant recomend the physical theripy as i have never been happy with that area. I only moved my dad because I live 140 miles away from the nursing home and I need to be closer so that I can see him more often and aid him. My dad was in the sub acute unit. which required a lot of service from the nurses and RT’s, They are special people there.
