We stopped by to get something to eat for dinner. A sign read«Closed do to electrical problems». My daughter said it had the same type of sign last time she came. Im a electrician it does’nt take that long to fix an electrical problem unless your not paying the power bill? I guess that could be a problem. So a «0» for a lamo sign and not being honest with returning customers. She also mentioned the last time she went the customer service girls were sub standard and got her order incorrect and just giggled about it. We went when it first opened but the level of service kinda gradually went down. I think its ‘lights out’ for K grill.

Ate food from here last night, used the drive thru to order. I wasn’t sitting in the drive thru waiting forever, I had my food in approx 5 – 6 minutes, which is perfectly reasonable for made to order food. Had the half\half chicken\steak. The sauce used is excellent for me, not overpowering and not too weak. The hot sauce I swear is hotter than sriracha because it burned soooo much better. The rice needed some soy sauce cause it was dry enough to clump, but I just mixed it all together anyways.

The reason I’m giving this place one star not because of the food .but because we did not had the chance to order. It looks very delicious after reading the reviews I decided to go through the drive thru to place my order. But we waited, we waited, we waited, we waited, and the gentleman was by the door on his cell phone ignoring that he had people waiting in line we got there at 8:15 and he never took our order we decided to leave after 5 minutes it was Sunday at 805 p.m. November 2015.

Well, if u must do fast food, this is the place to go! They have asian selections(tho limited), various«bowls»(a healthier option than burgers) and even a choice between white or brown rice with ur meals. And they have a convenient drive thru. Today, I am having the Korean galbi short rib plate. It’s great. And I didn’t have to even leave the comfort of my car while on the go with my folks!(BTW, the rice bowls aren’t small like Jack-in-the-Box. These are good size meals. And u can choose chicken, steak, salmon or shrimp… with fresh veggies!) PLEASE stay in business, K Grill!

My experience was BAD like sooooo bad. I ordered dumplings they were raw as in the dough around the meat was uncooked and they were refrigerator cold to the touch. I think they may have mixed them up and given me some that were in line to be cooked, at least I hope so. If not raw uncooked dumplings is not a food trend I would like to partake in again. The meat was really fatty and poor quality. My husbands beef was cold just regular cold not raw thank god. Mine was just overly chewy and crunchy from all the fat, first bite I thought I hit a bone shard. I don’t want to think about it too much. My steamed veggies were two slices of carrot and all cabbage which is a cheap cop out. For what I got I think it was really over priced because I could only eat a small portion of it before I got grossed out and lost my appetite. I won’t be back but I understand other peoples reviews sounds like it’s hit or miss, and they lack consistency. I personally won’t be back I can’t deal with meat quality issues so no second chances here. K Grill is officially dead to me.

Really liked it! If you go through the Drive thru expect to wait a few minutes. It’s fresh made to order ! We got spicy wings and Rib Plates. Wings — very tender and good not very spicy. I would order them again. Small order but inexpensive and tastes good too. The Rib Plate — great flavor and tender too. They taste like Korean BBQ to me. Comes with rice salad and fruit. Sub Veggies for the fruit or salad at no cost. I got the veggies and loved them. Very good sized portions especially for the price. The 2 orders I got were enough to feed me and my hubby and have enough leftover for lunch the next day. The only thing was I didn’t see any dessert on the menu. Can’t wait to go back and try the chicken, steak and salmon.

I was really hoping to enjoy this place… but I didn’t and probably won’t be back. My kids got a shrimp kids bowl and a chicken/steak bowl. They looked great. Lots of food. But what was strange was the«teriyaki» sauce. It didn’t taste like teriyaki to me and the kid didn’t like it. Don’t blame him either. The other kids shrimp was scarfed up so it must have been good. They didn’t get her order right though. I got the Kalbi plate. The meat was good. The veggies were cold and the salad didn’t have any dressing on it. The rice is different too. Can’t explain it. Anyway, it’s okay. It’s in the building where Freds Burgers were located. Seems out of place for El Cajon but that could be just me. Give it a try and decide for yourself.

Nice new restaurant in El Cajon. Asian inspired grilled healthy food. El Cajon is lucky to have something new! it’s easy to get Mexican or middle eastern food in the area but that gets boring… The grilled chicken plate w free soda… You can get extra vegis for 50 cents more instead of a half of Orange. Great flavor and they actually have a grill with chefs cooking in front of you! Score.;) I hope this place stays around, next visit I’ll be trying the wraps. Enjoy helpers!

Really enjoyed the food! Hearty portion of meat to Rice ratio. We ordered two Chicken and steak combo plates through the Drive Thru. Service wasn’t «McDonalds» fast, however from what I saw through the window, it’s expected because they make all orders fresh to order which is a plus to me personally. The service was extremely friendly and very efficient. Everything was correct with our order, except I do find it quite odd that they don’t include dressing on the side salad, but it didn’t bother me much. All in all the meat was tender, juicy and very flavorful. The amount you get for the price is great!

I used the drive thru to try out this place for the first time. I got excited to see a healthier take-out option in the area, so I had to see what is was about. The food itself is decent. I really like that you get the option for brown rice and veggies. I opted for the chicken teriyaki and brown rice bowl with a side of avocado. They give you a half avocado, which is pretty good as far as portion size if you ask me. In retrospect, I would have tried the chicken and steak bowl or the shrimp but that’ll come in the near future. The price was okay considering the portions and freshness of food. As far as service goes, yes they are friendly, yes they are efficient for the most part. My only advice is to the drive-thru girl. learn to use the microphone because you don’t want the customer to hear you say something inappropriate if you accidentally have it turned on while you aren’t assisting them. ;-) I’l let you all know how the other entrees are.‘ Welcome to East County, K Grill.

AWESOMESPOTINELCAJON! BEAUTIFULBUILDING, DECOR, and awesome healthy food! Both times I ordered the steak and chicken combo plate and both times I was really pleased. The owner Gustavo also recommended the salmon which I will surely get on my next visit. Couple that with the Coke Freestyle machine and I am one happy camper. I will be back for sure! Thanks K GRILL!

This place is good. I was hesitant to go bc of all the other businesses that have come and gone at this location but I think this place is here to stay. Quality ingredients, clean lobby, fast service, good prices, futuristic looking soda machine… what more could you ask for. Definitely coming back.

My husband & myself got here as they opened and were the only customers for about 40 minutes, but the tables and seats were a bit dirty. This didn’t set a good tone and lowered my expectations. The food, however, almost made up for it. My husband got the chicken plate, and I the salmon. Both were delicious; the chicken was tender and moist, and the salmon perfectly cooked, with a light char on the outside, yet still pink inside. It may not look like much in the pictures, but the portions are plentiful and quite filling. I was amused by the half an orange as the«fruit» portion, but it ended up being a nice palate cleanser and compliment to their mild, but flavorful teriyaki sauce. I will say that you get about a cup of rice with the plate meal, which is a bit heavy-handed for me, but I was told that subbing half of it with veggies is fine(at an extra cost, though), so now I know for the future =) So, in short, if you’re eating pretty clean, but don’t want the typical bland salad, bland protein fare, give this place a shot. There are vegan options, as well =) **The drive-thru is a bonus!

I like to see more of these health conscience eateries popping up around town, especially in East County, because it is needed. I came on for din after work and order a bowl of beef and chicken with no rice and all vegetables. I also ordered an extra add on of avocados. When the bowl was delivered, they forgot to put chicken in the bowl, so they had to make a separate order order of it, which I eventually put on top. They put plenty of beef in the bowl, but the amount of chicken was pitiful. Anyways the beef was tender well seasoned and resembled a Teriyaki flavor. The chicken was a little dry and did not have as much flavor as the beef. The vegetables, specifically the carrots, where unevenly sliced and came with large pieces, so some were cooked well and others were under done. The cabbage was abundant, well sliced, and well prepared. I poured a little soy sauce on the vegetables because they were a little plain. The side of avocado was good, ripe, and nicely sliced. All in all a decent bowl, with a good amount of tender beef, but I think they need to work on that chicken and provide uniformity when they prep their vegetables. The employees were nice and in high spirits.

Came here for lunch and had the chicken plate. The salad was no biggie, I expected the chicken to be hot off the grill but was luke warm. Had decent taste though, I’d like to see more meat per serving for $ 7.65. They do have a cool Coke dispenser I may try the ribs next time

Food is ok kind of a spin off of Hawiian BBQ. Service was good and fast. Tables needed to be cleaned and they have a couple of miss matched ones. On the food you have the choices of shrimp, fish. Short rib, steak, chicken, steak and chicken combo. I had the side of miso soup and not worth it was blah no flavor at all to it. The salad that comes with it had next to no dressing on it. Over all it’s just ok. Not a real wow.

Galbi(kalbi) plate is what I ordered. Great looking cuts of short ribs. And I love how they were marinated, and cooked. –if you love your short ribs with the bones in. Let them know! They cut out the bones and discard them! Boo… Although shumai is what you see on the menu, they actually mean steamed pot stickers. Stay away from the miso soup! This place is New. Several kinks still need to be worked out. But I would definitely go back. THEYHAVE A DRIVETHRU!!!
