I have never left a negative review on Unilocal… But here is my first. Vey refuses to give price quotes, the Manufacturer web site says contact a dealer for a quote and Vey will only quote if you come to their store and compelete a ‘formal application to purchase’. What is the point… no convenience for the customer, only a ploy to get you in to their store. VERY MANIPULATIVE. I will not do business with Vey.

I went into their dealership today because I saw their ad for a VERY popular motocross bike on the Internet for a good price-the salesman didn’t even know what type of bike it was, he had to go get help from another salesman who also had no idea about it and had to look it up on the Internet… after seeing their ad on his phone, they ending up not having the vehicle,“we must have sold it”…Typical bait and switch advertising.
They had no idea of their ads, inventory, or types of products they sell…

I recently purchased a 2008 CBR 600rr from Vey’s. The buying experience was very pleasant and they were reasonable with me during negotiations. Furthermore, a few weeks later, I had to bring the bike back because of an issue with my suspension. After some investigation, Nick was very proactive and made sure I was happy with how the situation was resolved. But then, …
So, I had the bike looked at by a mechanic and they found major problems. First, the front wheel was bent in two places. Vey’s had to have known this problem because they replaced the tires.
Second, the fork they replaced was damaged and one of the adjusters could not be used.
Third, the brake rotors had two bolts that were broken but were GLUED on to make them look like they were installed correctly.
Fourth, the chain and sprockets were completely worn out.
Fifth, the engine mounts had lock washers, which are plainly visible. Wow!!!
In other words, I was sold a bike by Vey’s that was in terrible shape. Bottom line, be extremely careful of their pre-owned inventory. They are obviously not inspecting these bikes closely at all, but want you to believe that they sell high quality used bikes.

I recently purchased a 2016 kawasaki concours from this dealership. I spoke to Nick he came back to me a few minutes later with a otd price that was well under the competition. I had to run some errands the day I was going to pick it up and they stayed open a half hour past closing to wait for me. I took the bike back a few days ago to get the 600 mile service done. Dropped off the bike in the morning and picked it up that evening. It has been running fine. Haven’t had any major service done here yet so can’t comment on that.

I purchased a helmet from here along with a bike both were great until the helmet starter coming apart so I went to the parts course and talked to a guy named Zach long story short this guys customer service is more than five stars any thing you need he’s there to help no hesitation treats you like family the from the minute you talk to him I appreciate everything he did and I got me take care of real well this guy is the shit anything you need go to Zach in parts he knows what’s up thanks again man and the rest of veys as well definitely a lifetime customer

I’m very big when it comes to professtionalism and customer service and I was NOT let down here in the El Cajon Store. I do believe that the workers (mechanics & others) go back and forth from the Lemon Grove and El Cajon but the workers like (John) are amazing and made you feel more comfortable even with the tough situation that occurred. He was very kind and was honest about the service, but whether he agreed with me or not, he still followed through and did what he can to help me and most workers DO NOT CARE to do this. THANKS JOHN!
When I received a call back from the service manager Kyle about the situation he explained to me their policy and we came to an understanding. Kyle helped me to replace what was damaged, which made my day draumatically. The AMAZING part is that he listened to my situation and accomodated me by making sure the second job was done correctly, my husbands bike was the first to use a new machine, THIS WAS AMAZING!
Here is the awesome part. When the service was final, John asked us to sign a paper and our opionion about the work that was redone. Its like a contract, they kepted it professional by following up with us, having my husband write a statement and sign it. The next day I received a phone call from Kyle asking if we were satified just to reverify. THEY DID IT TWICE! I have to say that Vey’s Powersport in El Cajon did an amazing job making sure their customers were satified and I really want to say thank you to those who can truly do their job and do their job RIGHT!

This place is awesome, walked in not exactly knowing what I wanted to get but I knew I wanted something. As I was browsing a gentleman approached me by the name of Pedro. He helped me look at all the motorcycles I had in mind and broke down each one in a way that I could better understand them. I ended up walking out with a 2015 ninja 300 and a new set of gear. I have had two bad experience with this company and I would not recommend them to anybody. I paid for a new Harley Davidson for a much better deal then what these guys are offering. I also have to go through a pain in the ass process to get a new license plate because of them.

Kudos to Kyle in service.
I have a Suzuki Burgman 650 executive which needed a 4000 mile service.
I found these guys to be the best on every level, starting with price.
I was told it would take 2 hours and I opted to wait… it was done in 70 minutes.
Bike feels tighter now than it did when it was new.
I am very happy. Great price; quality service; in and out quickly.
Just one thing: THEY MOVED and didn’t mention it (and didn’t change it here either).
They are no longer on El Cajon Blvd.
Now on Second St in El Cajon — just nth of the I-8.

Bought a brand new yz250f there a few weeks back and was told it was good to go for the desert. I’m not from around here so I took their word for it. Went riding today and was told by the police that I couldn’t ride because I didn’t have a spark arrestor. They said if they caught me while riding they would have impounded the bike and taken me to jail. When I went back to Veys to see if they could help me out they quoted me $ 130 for the part and another $ 100 for the labor. I explained that they completely mislead me when buying the bike and asked if they could give me a discount. They refused and insisted they had done nothing wrong. They even told me not to worry about a spark arrestor and to just go somewhere different. They were very rude from the start and completely unwilling to help. DONT NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS

I bought my starter bike here and I’ve gotta say, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Jacob was my sales rep and he did an exceptional job! He cared about what *I* wanted, he did what he could to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my purchase, he patiently answered all of my questions, and took his time with assisting me in finding a perfect helmet. This was MY experience and yes, I do recommend shoppers to this place! Great customer service from start to finish.

Price gougers? And rude. Well Nick is, anyway.
I’ve decided it’s time for a bigger bike and Vey’s had a great advertised price. I went in to see what I would be looking at out the door, undecided if it would be a trade/cash deal or straight cash. I’m still trying to understand their math.
My breakdown went something (exactly) like this:
Sale price: $ 9,298.00 — incorrect.
FREIGHT: $ 975.00 — are you kidding me? NINE SEVEN FIVE?
Assembly: $ 487.00
Doc.: $ 60.00
License: $ 174.00 — one side of the breakdown says $ 179 while the other says $ 174. We’ll just use $ 174.00
Total: $ 10,994.00
Tax: $ 989.91
New total: $ 11,988.91 — yes, this is wrong.
I am pretty sure that $ 10,994 + $ 989.91 = $ 11,983.91, but what do I know?
Maybe I didn’t get the memo that things like freight, assembly, documentation and license fees were taxable items. MAYBE the the doc fee… This isn’t a subsidized, 2 year cellphone contract, boys. You take the SALE price of a vehicle and multiply that by 9%, or .09 if we need a math lesson, and that is your sales tax… assuming it was based on the city of El Cajon’s current tax rate. So, magically, a bike advertised at $ 9,228.00 (which was some how changed on the «breakdown» to $ 9,298.00…but whatever, it’s $ 70) became $ 12,000.00 out the door.
I might also add that according to Vey’s, the MSRP is $ 12,699. It’s $ 11,699. Not only is this on Kawasaki’s website, but it is also on Vey’s website. So a magical $ 1,000 markup? Please note this is a non ABS model.
Here’s what seems a little more realistic:
Sale price (as advertised): $ 9,228.00 (rather than $ 9,298.00)
Sales tax (at a rate of 9%): 830.52 (rather than $ 989.91)
Total so far: $ 10,058.52
Obscene freight fee: $ 975.00
Assembly (questionable): $ 487.00
Doc.: $ 60.00 — maybe taxable? Seems strange. Ok, fine, give or take $ 5.40.
License: $ 174.00
Final total: $ 11,754.52
Difference of: $ 234.39
By the way, Nick, the word you were looking for was «drastically.» Your freight fee is more than most cars, and even with a calculator half the math on this paper was inaccurate. Oh and, since you pointed out that nothing can be done on freight fees, you might be pleased to know that my last two motorcycle purchases did not include freight fees, and even then, I sort of remember fees along the lines of $ 495.00.
When I told them I was not paying $ 12,000 out the door, Nick stuck his hand out and in the loudest voice basically told me that we have nothing to talk about then. You’re right, we don’t. I don’t do business in sketchy places. Like one of the reviews before me– I would pay more at another dealer just to not give Vey’s my business.
5 star rating on the bad attitude, though.

These guys rock. The El Cajon location is a bit harder to get in to for service, but the Lemon Grove location is quick and always the least expensive service in the area. I won’t go anywhere else for service or tire changes until someone can prove to me there is someone better out there. Tires are always on sale, oil and brake changes are reasonably priced.
