Take heed. I will no longer give them my business – and not only because I’m in Los Angeles now. Last year was the last straw. It’s like a «tax return» mill, where they see as many clients as possible, and don’t finish your tax returns on time no matter how early in February you have your appointment, or if you don’t want to meet in person, no matter how early you drop off all your paperwork.
I understand about how tax season is really really busy. However, their standard of practice seems to be get in as many clients as possible, collect the tax preparer’s fee, and then, oh well, if the taxes aren’t done and filed by April 15, they can always file an extension. I am deliberately NOT mentioning names, but believe me, I could mention one tax preparer in particular!
A couple of friends also had issues with this place and the same tax preparer I had – that tax preparer took a looooong time to do get the returns done, gave incorrect information to a client, and one of my friends overheard an argument between one of the preparers and a client! I am encouraging each of my friends to write Unilocal reviews. Maybe this will have the owner of Wealth Alliance Tax & Investment Services take a good look at how the business might be improved.
