Wen Wu School is, hands down, the finest school of traditional Chinese martial arts around. Each system is taught within its cultural context, providing rich benefits that support vibrant health for the body and mind as a whole. The lineages are strong and directly traceable to old-world Chinese masters, and the arts are offered without being diluted for commercial gain. I have been a student there on and off for many years, and can resolutely attest to the clarity of mind, strength, flexibility, heightened reflexes, and sense of ownership of the body that participating in learning with this unique community under the tutelage of these fabulous teachers provides. Seek out this school, dedicate yourself to some practice, and reap the rewards of a more fulfilled life. I, for one, have been grateful for every class I have attended, and regret each class I’ve missed! All respect to Shifu Chiang and the fabulous instructors at Wen Wu School!

the best space for traditional martial arts in the east bay. forget self defense, the real fight isn’t on the streets. it’s in the heart. the real enemy is cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. this system will save your life!

After seeing Dr. Erlene Chiang for years for accupunture I’ve now started Qi Gong here in this school. After just a few short weeks, I am amazed at the benefits I reap and so glad I tried it. Just practicing the stretches has made a difference in my flexibility and has relieved tension already. I am looking forward to learning the full 64 movements of Dayan Qi Gong. The teachers here are very knowledgeable and will assist you with questions and help fix your movements so you don’t start incorporating bad practice. Dayan Qi Gong is just one of many things they offer here. They also offer classes in Tai Chi, Shaolin Kung Fu, Art and chinese language. This is a great way to immerse yourself in a foreign culture. Stop by and watch a class in motion and give it a try, you’ll be glad you did.

for any aches or pains you may have, whether they be physical or emotional, go see phil kang. he’s my friend so i may be biased but he really is the best acupuncturist/herbalist/healer i know. he has a gentle hand & will take the time to talk with you and figure out the best treatment for your situation. and if he thinks that acupuncture isn’t what you need right now, he’ll let you know.
