Auto Werks Body & Paint

Wow, this is going to be a confusing review to explain Lol.
So I own a Nissan Pathfinder & my back door is a hatchback. My window on that back door, one screw fell off & my window was hanging ready to fall.
I ordered the piece from the dealer and now I needed someone to put the new piece on. I called around, of course the dealer wanted to charge for the labor so I called a few other places in the area that replace or install car Windows.
This one place I called was pretty far from me it was located in Walnut. The guy said just bring me your car I’ll put it on for $ 10.00 bucks! Cool, but I was still calling around for a closer place.
I drove to this window shop Good Hands Auto Glass to get a quote but where it gets confusing is I actually walked into the wrong shop next to it. I walked into a paint & body shop!
Not knowing at the time I spoke with a guy named Peter and asked what he would charge to put this piece on my truck.
Very nice guy was quick to help me, came out from behind the desk went to find a guy working on other cars and asked him to put this piece on my truck. They fixed my car in 10 minutes, and the best part was he did it for free!
This was about 3 weeks ago. I’m writing this review and just noticed it was a paint & body shop! Lol.
Anyways, just want to thank Peter for being honest, I felt comfortable with his customer service.
As I looked around watching everyone hard at work, a few workers that were near me stop to greet me.
So if you need some body work done to your car I recommend this body shop.
5 stars for customer service that’s huge when you own a business!

I’ve been through alot of accidents, including in a friend’s car. We bring our cars to Peter and Bill to get help. I have them on my cell phone contact list for emergencies. They push for me when no one else will follow-​up and push for my claim to process faster. They get the work done! Correctly and fast! I referred all my friends here when they need help or have auto questions, its just better to ask then waste your time. I’ve texted him photos alot of times to get an estimate or advice instead of driving 30miles to find out. They’ve been in the industry forever, and know everything.
Staff are easy to discuss any car, insurance, topics with. They’ll let you know if its worth to use your insurance, if there is a better more affordable route, give you options, and walk you through the process. The lobby was remodeled years back and I love the new mini fridge of drinks! Probably first auto shop lobby I’ve been in with A/​C, nice couches and plenty of space.
They speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Vietnamese. Makes it easy for me to just have my mom directly talk to them when she has auto questions. We still bring in our cars from Hollywood to El Monte. Its hard to find a trusthworth body shops, we’re sticking to this one forever.
Accidents: You’d think I’ll remember to know what to do when I get an accident but I froze a couple times. I’ve forgotten to ask for items or take pictures. They’ll walk you through your horrible situation, remind you to get the other party’s info, get a tow for you, make sure things are okay first. Accidents are horrible annoying situations and process to go through with the insurance companies… alot of places and insurance places lag so much you’re rental will be up by the time you get a solution! Autowerks are on top of it, got my car out before the end of the month.
I’ve had a grandma promise me her info when she got home… then denied hitting me at all. That was a WOW moment in learning about how people are in these situations. Also had an incident where the guy tried to blame me for the accident, but I had pictures and made sure the cops were there to dispute it just as Peter advised me. It worked.
Paint and Work: My car ended up looking better than before the accident haha They washed it, and polished it really nice. The paint is perfect, like a new car! They even helped polish out any small dings or dents on the non-​accident affect side. Peter has background with customized, exotic and import cars, explains why he’s a perfectionist on it. Autowerk’s proud plaque awards in the import body and paint industry are placed on the walls, as well as all those technical gold certifications — good to know it’s the people’s choice auto shop in the area. They have to newest latest equipment. Peter showed me a machine that could just scan for damages now too! Crazy!
Cars they’ve helped me with: Mercedes SL380 1984, Rav4 2014, Corolla 2009, Prius 2008. So they deal with alot of cars. They’re certified, approved collision shop for those cars.
Insurance: Apparently I had some crappy insurances back then, but they were able to chase the insurance company staff down to help with the situation. They’ll push for you. They won’t waste your time… because each day waited is a day of rental used up by my insurance. They were able to also help extend my rental because of insurance delays. They’re on top of keeping up with my insurance company and such. The inspection was requested quick.
I wouldn’t know what to do with these guys. Keep their cell phones on your contact! In case of anything, accidents are tough situation. I call them for all auto related questions. I found my oil maintenance and auto repair referral from them, finally found a trustworthy shop for my car!

Autowerks is awesome!
I’ve been coming to this place for paint ever since my 2^nd car in 2004. Peter’s dad was running the shop then and I would have to come in when Peter was working to get a «hooked up price» lol. Anyways, Peter is running the shop now and he is a honest/​genuine guy, had one of my cars repainted twice over here and the results were always great. I even gave the wrong paint code to Peter once, and he repainted it for me for free since I’ve been a loyal customer for awhile (don’t be giving Peter the wrong paint code on purpose and expect him to repaint it for you for free).
Peter uses high quality paint and provides high quality paintjobs, I know he does mostly insurance work now but when they used to do custom widebodies and aftermarket paint jobs, they were all flawless and show quality. I would recommend Autowerks to anyone who was involved in a minor fender bender to a complete paint job.

I brought my car here after an accident, and Auto Werks made the whole process so easy and painless. The service that Peter had provided through the whole experience was superb. The work that the body shop did on my car was amazing, as well… I was very happy with the body work the shop did, every looked brand new! I highly recommend bringing your car to Autowerks. Their professionalism and customer service is top notch! I had taken my truck in because I had some damage to my front bumper. It was self inflicted haha. Peter was very pleasant to work with. He provided me with a timeframe and also updated me periodically with my status. I received my truck polished and detailed. I’m definitely a happy customer and would recommended these guys for sure!

I brought my car here after I had a slight collision, causing my front bumper to shift to one side and the entire front part of my car had its paint scraped. Luckily, Peter and his crew were able to help me out and make my car look better than ever! The paint job was impeccable and they will do anything to make your car look better than it originally was. They are highly recommended and even though I live 30 miles away from this shop, it was worth every penny!

I normally don’t write many reviews for establishments that I visit, but I felt that I needed to take the time out of my day to write something special for a business that I felt took the time out for me. Peter and Bill were very professional and patient with me and my busy schedule. Not only were they able to work with my small window for the repair (its my only car) to be completed, they finished the work a day early! My car was presented to me with a full detail as well like brand new! I just find it very rare for businesses to go beyond whats expected these days, yet these two did. I definitely recommend these guys.

There’s a lot of auto body shops around, but the hard part is finding one that does great work AND is reliable and trustworthy. For me, Auto Werks is the place.
My friend first referred me to this place when a car reversed right into my hood (at a stoplight, no less), and I’ve been going here ever since — I think that was about 5 years ago! I just stopped by this week to have them take a look at some minor damage — they were very honest about how to get it repaired, and even helped me out with a temporary fix while they ordered the part.
Last year, my mom’s car was hit twice on separate occasions and both times I took it in to Peter at Auto Werks to get estimates and repairs done. Auto Werks pretty much took care of everything from start to finish — did a lot of the insurance legwork, helped her get a rental car, and more. They even finished a day or two earlier than expected, and kept in touch with her so she could pick it up ASAP. The whole process was also really transparent, and it was just nice to come to a place and not have to worry about getting ripped off or taken advantage of. It made a stressful situation a lot easier. They did a really good job on the car too — it looked just like new!
I hope I don’t have to come back anytime soon (my poor car), but it’s really good to know that I have a good body shop to come back to.

I got rear ended and needed to get my bumper fixed. My insurance agent recommended me to Auto Werks Body & Paint, and I am very glad he did.
I spoke to Bill and Peter when I first stopped by, who were both extremely helpful and friendly. When I came to pick up my car (which was scheduled to be finished on Monday, but they did me a favor and got it done by Friday so I could have my car for the weekend), it looked brand new. I had flash backs of when I first drove my car off the lot.
Andrea kept me updated via phone calls and David also gave me outstanding service when I got my car. Overall, I highly recommend this place. They make you feel like family. ¹⁰⁄₁₀

I have been unfortunate to have my parked car hit and damaged twice. Both times I took my car to Auto Werks and I can always count on them to do a superb job. My most recent experience was to have my car repaired for the damaged mirror and dent on the driver door. Auto Werks did an impeccable job. They also returned my car looking like new with the interior and exterior detailed! Peter, Bill, David, and Andrea are all very personable and will go the extra mile to make you a happy customer. A++++++ for customer service!

Peter and David are awesome. My car was wrecked in an accident with the other party at fault. Auto Werks worked it out with the insurance company with additional claims and get all taken care of. I don’t even need to contact the insurance company myself. The repair work is flawless. They used original manufacturer parts instead of after markets for the job. The detailing work is amazing. Didn’t expect that, they cleaned the interior and my car as well. Now it looks just like new. I’m way more than happy with their service.

Inconsistent customer service and bad service period. Go somewhere else.

Great work and customer service. I was very impress on how my car look. It only took them a little over 2 weeks to repair my car. Andrea always call me to update me on the process. I am a happy customer.

After getting hit an in accident, the rear passenger quarter-​panel, door were and wheel were mangled. Auto Werks brought my car back to life! The white pearl paint matched perfectly to the rest of the car, wheel alignment was done and fitment of new door was spot-​on. They even helped to repair a few paint chips that weren’t part of insurance coverage.
Getting into an accident and the subsequent results can be a pain in the arse, but Auto Werks helped to make the repair process painless.

Great service, really take very good care of my vehicle! Definitely will give 5 star for all their work!

I brought my vehicle in recently due to a car accident and had to get it fixed. Auto Werks was extremely helpful in generating an estimate for the damages, and was very thorough on explaining the repairs needed. They were attentive, provided great customer service, and answered any questions I had. I was kept in the loop on the progress of my vehicle throughout the week that it was in the shop. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I was very pleased at how new and shiny it looked! My bumper looked brand new and my car miraculously looked as white as it did the day I bought it! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Great Werk and even better service.
They used OEM Standard or better paint to repair BMW returned the car like new.
Customer service was excellent as well very courteous and helped out with rental company made a repair job a very pleasant experience.

I brought my car here after my accident. The Autowerks team made the entire claim process very fast and easy. When I got my car back, the work was amazing. This is my new «go to» body shop.

2^nd time here (unfortunately) but very satisfied with the work. Highly recommended! Color matched perfectly.

Took my car in to get fixed after an accident and they were pretty courteous in the beginning. Was told that they’d call me with updates and it would take approximately 3 weeks to finish repairs. I didn’t get any calls and the total time to repair car was 2 months, plus another 2 weeks after because I had to take my car back in due to peeling paint.
The accident was not my fault, so the other party’s insurance paid for this one. They charged their insurance almost 11k for minor front-​passenger side damage. At first, I was thinking, great they have the funds to do the best job possible. Replace bumper, passenger door, hood, fender, headlights and a few other small things. Should be quick.
After the first three weeks of no calls, I had to call in every other week just to get an update. It would always be something like, we’re doing this and that and almost done, yadda yadda etc.
When it was finally done and I went to pick it up, there was something odd about the paint. For some odd reason, they decided to repaint every panel BUT the roof and rear bumper. Now granted, my car is Satin White Pearl, and before taking my car in I specifically asked them if they would be able to match the paint, and of course they said yes. I told them about the terrible paint matching upon pick up and they said, «rear bumper is plastic, its normal.» They also tried to upsell me on a rear bumper repaint for $ 350. I know about the plastic bumper sometimes having a slightly different shade, but this was an entirely different kind of white. THEY PAINTED THE WRONG COLOR OF WHITE. Awesome.
A week later, the front bumper started peeling off, like scotch tape on drywall. They almost denied the repainting of the bumper claiming that they dont cover rock chips. This took another week.
–Two years later, the repainted panels are dull, as if the clear coat is gone but my rear bumper is still shiny. WTF kind of paint job is this? I garage my car every single night and the paint still looks like this after 2 years? It bugs me every single day I drive the damn car.
