El Monte RV

This place was useless. We have a lazy guy in an office that didn’t have the respect, decency or knowledge to get out of his chair to speak to me himself. Sends a lady who works there to tell me they are in a peak working condition to look at an RV o am donating to a veteran family who needed a place to lay their heads. I am a business owner myself and I know how to treat a customer or at least have the respect to go up to him and face him when there is an issue I don’t hide behind my staff. It’s obvious this place needs to learn or at least train their employees better. Thanks for nothing

We bought a RV through El Monte in Dublin about 6 weeks ago and have nothing but problems! We ended up in hotels in cost over $ 2000 while it needed to be repaired and they said we would be reimbursed and now they don’t want to reimburse us! We also took out their optional insurance for $ 2100 because we were told it would cover things that their insurance doesn’t, but that was a lie!
From the first mishap with the RV we called and called and emailed El Monte and never got a response until three to four days later when we called again blocking our number!
Seriously! They screen calls and if they don’t want to talk to who is calling they send to voicemail! Nice technic for a company! NOT
If I could stick this RV where the sun doesn’t shine on them, I would!
I paid out right for the RV! No loan!
All we’ve had is headaches with having to drive the RV two n a half hours one way to get repaired and have to spend more money to stay in a hotel while it was being repaired!
Do Not Buy From This Rip Of Company! They Only Want Your Money!

Got a great rental, brand new 2016 for the most reasonable price around. Jackie Alvarez was thorough and very knowledgeable. My girlfriend, kids and I would recommend this place. It was a a great family vacation.

This was my first time in renting an RV, and the experience was overall great, from beginning to end. Customer service was excellent, people were extremely nice and made me feel at home. I did not feel rushed and they answered all my questions. I am planning on renting again soon. Vehicles are in great condition and easy to handle. Thank you

No real roadside assistance for when your RV starts to malfunction. For a business that has their customers on the road they are only available a small part of the day.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Everyone made it super easy to rent and hassle free. Great communication with everyone I was in contact with. Prices are super affordable — the only thing that puts you in debt is the gas. We rented the 8 person cabover and it was incredibly spacious and everything worked perfectly.
We left some things on the RV and they called us to let us know and they even held it for a day for us so we had time to pick it up

Let’s start with the good stuff. The staff was friendly and the RV was clean upon pick up. Other than that I will probably never rent an RV from this place again because they are waaaay more expensive than Cruise America and you can’t really tell that until you are already in the rental office, signing the contract. Nothing is included in the base price. They will charge you for every last thing. Even parking your car on the lot is $ 5 per day. There are so any extra charges that this rental was almost twice as much as the same one we rented from Cruise America. Additionally, the RV was the most rattle-​y RV we have ever rented. Every appliance was loose and shook all over the place the whole time we were driving. Annoying. Oh well. Ya live and ya learn.

We picked up our RV #34 328 with 70K miles on it from Reno Truck Rental. They were very helpful and good to deal with… And that’s where it ends. The RV ran fine and «most» everything on the RV worked… Well, other than the kitchen sink that leaked (all over our silverware), the shower door that would not close, the screen door that was loose and most of all, the awning that would not retract. We were out of cell phone service and I managed (after 2hrs of diagnostics) to figure out where the short in the wiring was and got the awning to retract… Do not rent this RV #34 328 it needs to be retired. I found out that the RVs are assigned at the corporate level. If you do rent from El Monte make sure you find out the year and the mileage of the one you are getting… and get a newer one.

Great experience! It was our first time to rent and all personnel in El Monte ofc were helpful and patient in explaining RV functions. I would definitely recommend to friends/​family!

Great experiences both times we rented.
Last summer we did a trailer, pioneer, very easy amd comfortable.
This year we rented the Leprechaun 22ft RV. Very comfortable, easy to use and clean and modern.
Renting process is east and friendly.
Nice new vehicles to rent.

Started out trying to go cheaper with a mom and pop place and soon learned that it is worth our peace of mind to go with a well known reputable company. And the savings of the lesser company wasn’t that great. We will stick with El Monte RV going forward… worth every penny. Newer models with less miles and are very clean.

Rented a 26′ Jamboree rv from the Van Nuys El Monte RV. Dealt with a wonderful gal named Anna. She was thorough and very professional. She showed us different models and steered us to the 26′ er’ which was the perfect size for myself, wife and grandson, plus 2 small dogs. I would of liked the bathroom to be a bit bigger, but then again your camping and space is limited. The only vice we had was that we were promised a TV w/​DVD player but when we went to pick it up, there was none. So we used one of our TV’s & DVD player and all went well. Everything in the coach was very easy to use, plus they give you an instruction manual in case you can’t figure things out. The digital read outs are the best thing cause they give you accurate readings on the tank levels (black water, gray water, domestic water) battery levels & propane level. The slide out was so easy to use, my grandson usually did it as for his part on setting up at each camp ground. Make sure you budget for fuel costs, it does use a good consumption of fuel to get from point A to point B depending on how hard you push it. I tried to maintain about 60 mph but you get a lot of glares from people thinking your going to slow, so I pushed it at 65 which took more fuel. Normally at each camp ground, the space was level, but if it wasn’t they give you leveling blocks that are easy to use, plus a bubble level you put on the kitchen counter to help you level the coach. This too was very easy to do. I would definitely rent from El Monte again hoping Anna is still there cause it was a great experience for us as a family. Thank you Anna.

Terrible RV rented to us– when it started raining, the roof started leaking and it leaked in the cabin, making the passengers suffer as they had to clean up the leak while getting water poured on them. The entry steps worked for a few days and then started started making tons of noise, and then completely stopped working. The RV was old and the interior was starting to deteriorate. The drawers in the camper could not close completely, and roadside assistance was completely useless. The person who picked up the phone was so incompetent that she completely forgot about the huge problem of the leak and assumed we were going to fix the camper ourself. Also on the way back out battery light started flashing. El Monte RV should know when to service their RVs and fix them up. Never renting from then ever again.

Overpriced rentals and switch & bait tactics. They do this because they know there’s a small chance you’ll go elsewhere and just settle, and they know most of their customers aren’t educated in the whole sales process.

Overall this was a good experience… would definitely rent an rv from this place again.

We’re first time RV renters! We took the RV camping. My family and I enjoyed every minute of the vacation.
The staff was nice, friendly and provided all the info we needed to have a successful trip. We had some trouble getting the power to work while camping, but a quick call using the 800# got us up and running fast.

Rented an RV for a few days to go camping. Everything worked fine on the lot and the second we arrived at our camp site we were almost out of fresh water and nothing else was working. We had no way of calling the 800 number and we were stuck with an RV that couldn’t provide anything you rent an RV for. Not only on top of that when I returned the RV and politely attempted to inform the manager of the situation he rudely interrupted me and was very defensive. Never once did he show any sympathy or signs of compassion. This was a 0 out of 10 experience for me and they will receive no recommendation to anyone I know. There are much better choices out there.

After booking our RV for our last minute family vacation, I read the reviews. This scared me, but I was hoping to prove the other Unilocalers wrong. ;)
We rented from El Monte RV on Valley Blvd. The two gentlemen in the office were super nice and helpful. Both our drop off and our pick up were quick and easy.
The RV was a 28′ cab-​over slide-​out, 2007 (I think). There were a few minor things broken in the rv, but manageable. We ave a family of six and drove up to Big Sur from the LA area. I had a few questions while on the road and called EL Monte RV. They answered my questions easily, and if they didnt know, they asked and let me know right away.
A tree branch hit the top of our RV along with two other RVs on the road behind us, damaging a plastic cover for a vent on the top of the RV. They did not charge us for this… which I thought was awesome customer service because it was not our fault, and they were sensitive to the situation.
Overall, the RV was clean and comfortable… it ran perfectly… service at the office was perfect. I would rent from them again. :)
