Had Larry do my smog from a recommendation from a place I got my catalytic converter done.
Good place and smog here is cheaper than the place I was planning to go to! ($ 49.85 vs $ 60 at the other place)

Took my RV there for a smog check, which it passed. Guy came out and told me that all the fluids in the vehicle were dirty and needed to be replaced at a cost of $ 500.00. That was interesting, as two weeks earlier my RV had been serviced by my regular mechanic, and the fluids were fine then. I think Performance was trying to rip me off.

Brought in my wife’s ’98 Sebring for some brake work. Met with Big Mike in the morning. He was very nice and he took my info. By 10 o’clock Simon called with the estimate and I picked it up at 4. Very knowledgeable guys and the price was reasonable. Didn’t try to oversell me on anything and the job was done right. Very professional company. I hope to have them work on my ’67 Buick when there is some extra cash.

We are talking best of the best with everything these guys do, very honest and reliable. I’ve had several vehicles repaired by Mike and the team at Record Performance and the name is right on point. Extremely satisfied with all the work theses expert champs have done, they are currently working on my Y2K convertible TransAm and in no time issues found and resolved. Once you come here you’ll never take your vehicles anywhere else.

I went there recently n my experience wasn’t so good, in fact was bad, everything was going ok but when the person who was helping me ask for my address another worker jump n start to talk in a really offensive way he was bullying me, I am not a fighter, so I leave the office, finished my business n I leave. One thing is for sure, I am not coming back to this place

I recently had Record Performance do a lot of basic maintenance on my daily driver car. They are extremely honest and told me promptly of a leaky rack-​and-​pinion on the car.
They had no issue in my taking that car after they did their allotted repairs to the original shop, for a warranty claim. I am very glad that they warned me about the leak. as the car also had some seals replaced and the leak was hard to find.
The original warranty shop verified that the rack-​and-​pinion had gone bad. Again, Record saved me hundreds of dollars.
These guys know their stuff.
The only reason I am not giving five stars is because the algorithm of this website thinks that if you rate a business too high that you might be a spam-​bot.

I give these guys 5 stars and I recommend them to everyone. I’m not gonna lie I was very nervous being a girl who doesn’t know much about cars I was worried about getting tooken advantage of but that wasn’t the case here. The workers were very friendly and took the time to explain everything to me they did a FULL inspection of my car and their main concern was to make sure my car is safe to drive and I’m not in any dander. They broke everything down for me and they are very honest, they did a few things to my car (just to get stayed because I had a budget at the moment) and when I drove off I immediately noticed a difference I will definitely be coming back to fix the rest of the problems, I just bought a 92 pontiac firebid and they are so knowledgeable I feel very comfortable leaving it there because I know it’s in good hands. I finally found my mechanics! Thank u Simon and your hard workers for taking care of me and my new baby!

Customer service is second to none at Record Performance. I took my Nissan Frontier, after having it sit for about a year because the smog check had failed. I had taken it to other mechanic shops in the past and they did work on it without avail and only making me waste money.
Simon greeted me and made me feel more than just a customer but a friend from the beginning. We discussed the problems I had with my truck and he said he would have his smog technician (Larry) conduct a smog retest on it and then if it failed, diagnose the problem and call me. Soon after he did and my catalytic converter had to be changed. I also asked him that after the catalytic converter was changed to do a throughout inspection.
Record Performance did a great job and went above and beyond my expectations. They analyzed my truck from top to bottom and gave me suggestions as to what needed immediate attention and what other services were soon to be due. At a great price they took care of all the issues on my truck.
Record Performance is honest and hard working. They’ll work with you and make sure you are satisfied. I honestly give them more than the 5 stars available. Furthermore, they also do work on older model vehicles. It was nice to browse around the shop and take a peek at the beauties they are working on.
Before I complete this review I would definitely like to extend a heart felt and honest thank you to Larry and his son for their service to our country, and Larry’s continued service to our community! Semper Fi.

Mike is a great guy who is always honest and hard working. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was just there for service last week, and as usual, the mechanics her did a marvelous job. I first found them after being told by a dealership that I needed a new head gasket, but a friend recommended that I try Record Performance, and when they took a look at it, they said it was a cracked (something or other) and fixed it for less than one-​fifth what the dealership wanted to charge. Since then, I got to Record Performance for all my auto repair needs, even though I live a good 35 miles away from them. They are simply tops: Friendly, efficient, and they won’t sell you something you don’t need – but they will inspect and tell you when you DO need something that you may not even know about. Like the last time I was there, they said my radiator hose was going soft and probably wouldn’t last long – and they repaired it cheap!

Honest Capable and fair. Excellent service. I cannot recommend them highly enough. You can be confident that this facility will diagnose and repair your vehicle properly, promptly and at a fair price.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who is Latino. I drove up and ask them if they work on old cars. I told him that I have a 1949 Chevy Fleetline and was considering converting the current six cylinder engine over to a V8. The mechanic/​owner, stated that he does not deal with lowrider bullshit. I never stated to him that it was lowrider, he assumed that was it because of the color of my skin. To me that me makes him a Racist, REDNECK. Not good customer service … if your American of color beware of this Place.

I stopped by Record Performance today after my car started leaking fuel again following a repair by another mechanic. I stopped in to see what they recommended and met Mike. We found the leak and it was obvious the car could should not be driven so I left it with him. Mike called me about 90 minutes later and told me the car was repaired for $ 30! I was ecstatic because I was worried that it would cost much more.
Mike explained to me my other mechanic had used a low pressure fuel line and it needed a high pressure line. He told me everything I needed to go back to the other mechanic and gave me the old improper hose. I spoke to the other mechanic and he agreed to reimburse me for the repairs so everything worked out perfectly.
Record Performance has an ultra clean facility, a nice waiting area and from what I’ve experienced top notch and HONEST mechanics. Highly recommended.

I have been coming here for auto maintenance for a few years. This place was recommended to me. I am one satisfied customer. Not once have I returned with the same issue.
The mechanics do it all! Oil change, breaks & rotors, electrical, windows, oxygen sensors, radiator, tune up, gasket replacement and anything else that has to do with cars.
This is a no none sense type of auto shop. They are honest, hard working and they’ll take care of you!!!
