We welcome students of all levels and ages, children and adults, from beginners to advanced. We provide our students with the skills to enjoy music for a lifetime.

We offer music lessons for Piano, Cello, Violin, Viola, Vocal, Guitar, and Music Theory. At our Academy students have the opportunity to take the first lesson FREE.

Meet the Business Owner

Rakhima R.

Business Owner

Rakhima grew up and received her education in Uzbekistan, the former USSR. She started her music career when she was seven. She graduated from a professional elite music school for talented children in 1989 with cello as the first instrument and piano as the second.

After the graduation, she entered the Tashkent State Conservatory from which she graduated in 1994 with the Master’s Degree in Music.

In 1998 she completed the post-​graduate course at the Tashkent State Conservatory and received the Ph.D. degree in cello.

Currently Rakhima is the president of Sarasvati Music Academy. She is teaching classes in piano, cello, violin, and music theory for children and adults in San Gabriel and San Fernando valleys.

Both of my sons study music with Rakhima. My 7 year old plays piano and the 13 is focused on violin. They have been taking music classes for 3.5 years at Sarasvati Music Academy. There are many great musicians who cannot teach– especially children. Rakhima, however, is truly gifted working with them. She has an incredible ability to break down how to read notes, and play them properly [hand positions etc]. She is patient but firm. My 7 year old started with her when he was 4 — after a brief time at another academy. But, the teacher there, while a great pianist, could not «break it down for children.» My 13 year old began violin with Rakhima, when he was 10. It’s amazing to hear him play now. One thing parents should know — there are no miracles with the lessons — students MUST practice [a reasonable amount of time] and sometimes it will be challenging. Both boys look forward to adding new instruments when the time is right. Rakhima and the Sarasvati Music Academy are top notch.
