I ordered a carne asada burrito and one taco al pastor. The taco al pastor did not impress me too much sauce on it probably to hide bland flavor of the meat. The only reason I ordered the tacos al pastor is because in many restaurants its a hit or miss so I wanted to find out and here it is definitely a miss. Now the burrito I ordered I got it to go so when I finally got to eat my burrito I realized that it was not a carne asada burrito and it was a burrito al pastor. I’ve been anxiously wanted to try this place because I’ve seen all the reviews and frankly I’m not impressed at all. Again my rating is referring to my experience and what I tasted it may change in another visit but First impressions are a key to new customers.

This restaurant has Some items in their menu that are fantastic other items i wouldn’t touch. I used actually like this place but theirs a creepy vibe first off they can never get their pricing right. Then the employees always talking about drugs or looking like they are on drugs(to be clear I don’t consider marijuana a drug) with that said I won’t be eating here in ever again.

This place is amazing and by far the most delicious tacos in El Monte, I came here with my friends late after a party and didn’t have a lot of money to afford a drink with my order and when I picked up my order, the owner offered me a free drink(: so unexpected yet nice and a large drink too definitely coming back here

We will be back for the pastor,(like other reviews the pastor doesn’t taste like a traditional recipe but it’s very tasty) the rest of the meats were just okay. Salsa was good. The restaurant is laid out odd but it was clean and that matters most.

Looked scary … But we decided to try it anyway and were pleasantly surprised. In terms of flavor I give 5 stars… Freshness – 5 stars, but only gave 4 stars as the pastor was absolutely delicious but bit into a few fatty bites. I removed the fat and enjoyed the tacos with delight! My daughter ordered the chicken burrito all meat, with cilantro and onions and it was so so good!!! Will come back.

Humble environment. Big T.V. Tortas are great. Didn’t care for the burrito though. Tacos are great too I love them with the big bottles of coke they have from Mexico.

I love coming here on my way from school. I get a burrito and 3 tacos. The salsa is so delicious and spicy how I like it. The tacos have a huge portion of meat

Live down the street from Tacos del chino. Look I know this is effing El Monte but I don’t understand why people act like people that live here have some kind of disease or something. Yes it’s El Monte but not everyone in El Monte is out to get you. Don’t eff with us we don’t eff with you. Simple as that. You scared? Carry some damn mace around like I do and we good. Anyhow… moving on. Tacos del Chino is the shiznit. The price is right, the food is bomb(no diarrhea status). The owner is chill(hey neighbor!), they open late(drunk after club aka late night status) and no one ever judges you so don’t judge us ya?!

Ahhhh Tacos Del Chino… or as we call it ‘Cochinos Tacos’. Located in working class city of smELl Monte. The rundown: — Atmosphere is simple, lotsa sneaky jesus pictures. Customers range from families to the ‘rough around the edges type’. Anyone remember that quarter machine they had? Overall comfortable, like going to your spanish speaking relatives home. — Prices are real good. If the owner Chino is there he’a super cool to chat with and will occasionally kick down the price if you order alot. — Food is by far the best! Very authentic taste without all the frills. Simple straight to the point good food! I will go out of my way to come here if I’m craving tacos. Burrito size is satisfying — unlike king taco. Carnitas are nice and juicy with a crisp to it. My usual is 5 carne asada mulitas, 2 tacos de carnitas, and wash it all down with a bottle of Coke. In conclusion, Tacos Del Chino is a great spot to come if you wanna stuff your face at an affordable price. Get the mulitas with asada!

Writing this review on behalf of my growling stomach. Ordered a bean and cheese burrito but received a meat burrito instead. I don’t eat meat so now I’m starving. Beware! Check your order. G R O W L ! Parking: Tiny private lot(5 – 6 spaces) & street. WC: One stall for all.

Had to try the Al Pastor Torta cause everyone on here is raging about it and it was big, good and messy. Mine was much sloppier than other pics I saw here but still legit. I’ve had better Al pastor doe. The Lengua and asada tacos were good and the salsa is really spicy(just like I like my women) Place is nothing to look at and kinda weird inside with all kinds of weird tables and furniture so I got take out.

Omg… my special order burrito. A LITTLEBACKSTORY… Every mexican food place I go to always gives me a hard time when I ask for my 3 meat wet burrito [I know! ]… They’ll give me a bland sprinkled with sauce burrito on a dry plate and charge me about $ 4 – 6 dollars more for adding the«extra meats» but I always feel cheated because the burrito is not any larger(as in there really, it simply has a bite of each meat). I mean heyyyy it’s not like you didn’t charge me 6 freaking bucks for it! FLASHTOMYFIRSTVISITATTACOSDELCHINO… Not only was my burrito HUGE with awesome sized portion of each meat [I could actually see the carne asada, pollo, and al pastor!] But it was topped with tons of cheese and served with a salad on the side with avocado!(No extra charge for that)… and goodness, that burrito was SOAKED in green sauce, honey… THEYEXCEEDEDMYEXPECTATIONS! The dining area has nice warm and cozy feel and i love eating there with my 4yr old son, he loves his chicken quesadillas from there(: You’ll enjoy it here if you are humble.(:

Imagine a taco truck with indoor seating, and you have Tacos Del Chino. You enter; order at the counter; sit and wait; pickup your food; then trash your plate when finished. And just as with a truck, there’s no free water and no free chips. TDC performs perfectly adequately for what it is: a Mexican restaurant, Mexican style. The tacos are $ 1.25, the burritos 5. The meat options range from the familiar(carne asada, pollo) to the foreign(cabeza & lengua). The pollo and carne asada taste as you’d expect – yummy, but nothing you’d rave for days about – while the al pastor disappoints: the meat’s bland and sauced too más. The burrito is XXG and a meal in itself. This place is not worth a drive; similar shops can certainly be found nearer you. But it’s a fine option for those nearby.

I have been going to Tacos Del Chino since Samuel had a taco truck parked in front of bank of the west 10 years ago. Once the city started cracking down on the trucks I thought I had lost my favorite taco spot. Luckily soon after he opened up shop here. The food is amazing. Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Mulitas, Nachos and more. The best part of it is that they are open late on weekends usually passed 3am depending on the night. Cash only! But you won’t be disappointed best Tacos around.

For my 200th review, I wanted to write about some place that I love. And I love Tacos del Chino! This is a very humble-looking place that I usually get takeout from. It’s not some place you would take a business client or a snobby date. There’s plenty of seating, and I’ve never seen this place packed(which is both good and bad, I want them to have more business! This place rocks!!). They have a parking lot behind the building that is never full. Tacos del Chino is very cheap, and they accept credit card. I honestly think they are just better than El Taco Man in every way. Better food, cheaper food, accepts credit card, more seating, indoor seating, better salsas, etc. Don’t get me wrong, El Taco Man is still good, but Tacos del Chino is just perfect. They have the BEST Al Pastor meat I have ever tasted, and their Al Pastor burrito is the best burrito my boyfriend has ever tasted. It’s so flavorful and tender. I just… can’t. You must get their Al Pastor in some way, shape, or form. Start with Al Pastor tacos because they load it with meat, onions, cilantro, all the fixings, and it’s just perfect. Make sure you get both of their salsas! I’m terrible and I can’t really tell the difference, but I know I like both the green and the red one! The people who work here are very patient and sweet. They are a perfect complement to the delicious food. I’ve been here for multiple meals on the same day, and I intend to keep doing so because it’s that good :)
