Julian’s Doggie Daycare & Boarding

Never ever ever again. You could not pay me enough to take my dog there again. She was there from the December 22 to December 27 2015. Although she had checked in with her bed, we found out she slept on the floor the whole time she was there and honestly there were just too many dogs there so who knows how that worked. Anyway, now our pup has diarrhea and she won’t eat. In the past when we’ve taken her there she’s come back with cuts on her nose (probably from the crates) and a cough. Given how much we pay to have our dogs stay there, they’d do a better job of looking after them. Do blankets really cost that much??? The manager or whoever he is needs to go because he is obviously being overwhelmed by his duties.

Julian’s is the ONLY place I will take my dogs to for boarding. I have 4 large doggies and everyone at Julian’s knows who they are even though we only board 2 – 3 times per year. I interviewed other boarding places in El Paso and Julian’s is the only one who lets your dogs socialize with other dogs during the day, which was really important to me (I didn’t want my dogs locked in a crate or tiny run all day during boarding). I love the live video feed – it’s so reassuring to watch my dogs’ body language so I know they’re happy.
The employees take care to ensure that the dogs are safe and happy, including making sure each dog is «temperament tested» (i.e., introducing your dogs to others) before boarding/​daycare. They also ensure each dog is up to date with vaccinations, including Bordatella. The staff at Julian’s are incredibly professional, and I can tell they care about my dogs.
For the reviewer saying that her dog has diarrhea and won’t eat after her stay, it’s important to acclimate your doggy to boarding beforehand by having them stay for daycare for a short duration (so your dog knows that it’s temporary) a few times. Boarding can be stressful, especially without proper acclimation, so a dog not eating and having diarrhea during or after boarding is totally normal. Lastly, if you doggy has a cough after boarding, keep in mind that sending a dog to daycare is like sending a kid to school – they could come back with minor colds and it’s no big deal :)

So i have 9 pooches and they are always going nuts when i get home. Taking 7 of them to julians for daycare daily or a few times a week has helped out their demeanor at home. They are drained and ready to sleep the moment they get into the car. They always help out when i go out of town or on the holidays. Thank you guys for loving my pooches and giving me a break.

My puppies (English Bulldogs) really like coming here. They play, play and play and then go home and snore it off.
I love that they offer live video streaming from all areas of their facilities to your smartphone. That gives me peace of mind. Call me crazy.
I also love that the dogs aren’t just running wild outside. They go out for potty breaks but are kept indoors for the most part which is great in the summer (scorching hot weather) and not bad in the winter. The dogs are always supervised by multiple staff and separated by size.
Dogs are screened prior to being accepted which is also a plus for me. Your pet must be neutered or spayed and current on their shots. Bordatella shot required.
They have reasonable rates and offer discounts for buying in bundles. Julian’s will walk your baby for an additional $ 2. The park is located behind the shopping center.
Overall, I can leave my babies here and walk away worry-​free.
